For very young children, and for neurodivergent children, no mainstream rival comes close — credentialed nannies, proper nurseries, a certified autism program. For choice of destination Beaches is now the weakest large family brand in the market.

The standout inclusion is childcare from newborn upward at no extra charge, with nannies credentialed through the International Nanny Association — which almost no rival matches. The standout weakness is choice: after the Ocho Rios closure, a Beaches holiday means Turks & Caicos or Negril — and the two aren't interchangeable.

Beaches lost a third of its open estate in 2025, which changes the shape of the decision entirely. Most Beaches guides haven't caught up with it.

Beaches Ocho Rios closed permanently at the end of May 2025. That took the brand from three open resorts to two: Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril. Four further resorts have been announced — Barbados, Exuma, Runaway Bay and Saint Vincent — and none of them is open. The Saint Vincent project in particular hadn't broken ground as of early 2026 and shouldn't be planned around.

Beaches Turks & Caicos also gained a new village in March 2026 — Treasure Beach Village, roughly a hundred multi-bedroom suites, a food hall, the brand's first cinema and three-story beachfront villas sleeping ten. That village is entirely Club Concierge and Butler Elite inventory; there are no entry-tier rooms in it.

Beaches uses the same three-step ladder as its adults-only sibling. One inclusion moves — and it is the one families most often assume carries across.

The childcare inclusion is the best reason to choose this brand — and it has two operational edges that catch parents out.

Group camp is included at every band from newborn to seventeen, staffed by nannies who are International Nanny Association members and IBCCES-certified, with climate-controlled nurseries for newborns to two-year-olds and a stated five-to-one ratio for toddlers. Beaches also holds Advanced Certified Autism Center designation, which brings sensory guides, pre-arrival questionnaires and custom dietary handling.

Beaches holds an exclusive partnership with Sesame Workshop, and it is running in 2026 — programming is built into the autumn schedule and promotional material references 2027 travel.

What is free: the daily activities, the character parades, the stage shows and the meet-and-greets. Baking with Cookie Monster, puppet making, dance sessions, and the art activity built around Julia, Sesame Street's character with autism.

What is paid: character breakfasts, bedtime tuck-ins, sunrise yoga with characters, private birthday parties and private character photo shoots. The clearest tell is that Beaches periodically markets a complimentary character breakfast as a promotional sweetener — which only works as an incentive because it normally costs money.

Family budgets break in predictable places here. These are the ones worth planning around.

Beaches sits in the same premium band as its adults-only sibling, but with a wider internal spread, because the Turks & Caicos flagship prices well above Negril for the same tier.

Luxury → Club Concierge runs roughly a quarter to three-fifths above base, a spread wide enough that it is worth pricing at your specific resort instead of assuming. Concierge → Butler Elite lands around forty to seventy percent on top of that — which, given that Butler is the only tier carrying room service, is the step families with small children most often end up making anyway.

With only two open resorts, the alternatives matter more than usual, so start with the brands a family would realistically weigh against it.
