Carnival Paradise Cabins

This ship is close enough to Elation that a lazy guide could copy it. This one should not. The useful differences show up in the current category map, and the exact Paradise deck plan gets the final word.

How I would shop Paradise

The ship has more balcony inventory than it once did, but that does not make Balcony the automatic answer. The current plan still gives you a strong Ocean View ladder, 6J Scenic Ocean View, standard Balconies, 8M Aft-View Extended Balcony and a suite ladder that reaches ES and GV. On a compact ship often used for shorter itineraries, time-in-room should drive the premium.

Where Paradise earns an upgrade

PT

The cheap daylight check

Paradise PT rooms have two portholes. When the fare sits close to Interior, this can be enough upgrade: you know when morning arrived and still keep the cabin budget low.

6A–6E

Ocean View is still relevant

Do not skip directly from Interior to Balcony. A conventional Ocean View can be a very sensible Paradise cabin when the itinerary is busy and you mainly want daylight and a sea reference.

6J

Scenic competes with Balcony

Paradise also has 6J Scenic Ocean View with floor-to-ceiling forward glass. If 6J and Balcony are close, the decision is not “window versus balcony.” It is panoramic indoor view versus private outdoor access.

8A–8D / 8M

Paradise’s balcony map is its own

The current Paradise plan lists standard Balcony through 8D plus 8M Aft-View Extended Balcony. Elation’s current plan extends the standard balcony codes through 8E. Small difference, but exactly why sister-ship copy should never substitute for the exact deck plan.

ES / GV

Buy the top suites for function

Extended Balcony Grand Suite and Grand Vista Suite are where the cabin becomes a major part of the vacation. Compare them with GS and two cabins before accepting the top fare.

Paradise watch-outs

OB

Obstructed Junior Suite

Carnival’s Paradise plan explicitly lists OB Junior Suite with obstructed views. If the suite premium is supposed to improve your view, inspect the exact room before paying.

Family beds

Read the Balcony note

Carnival states that Balcony beds do not convert to a king when both upper Pullmans are in use. That can change how a four-person room functions at night.

Sister-ship trap

Paradise is not Elation with a new name

The architecture is close, but current category ranges and exact room placement differ. The Paradise plan—not the class master and not Elation—finishes the cabin decision.

Families: make the suite compete

When ES or GV gets expensive, quote two cabins. Paradise is compact enough that nearby rooms can preserve convenience while adding another bathroom, more storage and actual separation after bedtime.
