Trafalgar states a fixed daily gratuity guide. Cosmos at least gave us one reported optional-experience price to reason from.
Globus gives us neither.
So below, wherever we have a sourced figure we use it. Wherever Globus hasn't published one, the calculator gives you an adjustable placeholder — a placeholder, not a number we'd have to invent.
On the four 2027 departures we've priced list and discounted, the discounted fare ran $2,379 to $5,779.
Using this page's placeholder assumptions — a $10-a-day gratuity, a modest optionals budget — a traveler sharing a room should expect to land roughly 5–12% above the discounted fare.
A solo traveler paying a typical 25% supplement should expect roughly 30–37% above it.
Airfare is on top of both, and neither range includes a meals line — we don't have a per-tour meal audit for all four tours the way we do for Cosmos's three.
Unlike our Trafalgar figures, these ranges rest on reasonable assumptions, not a Globus-published rate. Globus hasn't published one.

All three are placeholders you should adjust.
Globus itself doesn't publish any of them.
Then add your own flights, extra hotel nights and insurance for a true door-to-door figure, and set the party size to see the whole trip's cost. Then you have the whole number.
As with the Cosmos and Trafalgar versions of this tool, the percentage above the discounted fare is always calculated on the tour alone, never including your flights or extras. The tour, not the trip.
What the Advertised Price Actually Covers
Globus sits above sister brand Cosmos and above value operators like Costsaver on inclusions, at a matching premium in price. That's the whole point of the positioning, not an accident of it.
Knowing exactly where the line falls still matters here, even at a higher price point, because the categories left out are the same ones that inflate every mainstream tour's real cost.

Read this table next to our Trafalgar and Cosmos versions and the shape is nearly identical — the same four categories are excluded on every mainstream brand. The shape, not the disclosure.
What's different is disclosure: Trafalgar tells you its gratuity guidance and a typical single-supplement average; Globus tells you neither. That's a harder deal to budget, not necessarily a worse one.
It's the entire reason this page leans on adjustable estimates in a few places where Trafalgar's could use fixed averages.
The Three Costs That Move the Number
1. The single supplement
No fixed percentage anywhere.
Globus's terms only note that a single supplement "ensures your own room but not the number of beds in a room" — a quality disclaimer, not a price.
The real workaround is a Globus Escapes departure: select tours are bookable without a single-supplement charge, based on availability.
Outside one, a mainstream-tour typical 20–30% is a reasonable planning range — not a verified Globus rate.
2. Meals not included
The general pattern is real and sourced: breakfast tracks nights exactly on every tour we've audited, dinner shows up roughly a third of the time, and lunch is rare in Europe — 8 of 12 itineraries we checked include zero.
What we don't have is that exact breakdown for all four tours in this calculator, so we left meals out of the widget's math rather than estimate a number we can't back with a source.
3. Optional experiences
The single biggest disclosure gap on this page, wider even than Cosmos's.
Cosmos at least gave us one traveler-reported price, a $72 Sistine Chapel excursion.
For Globus, we found no published price list and no reported figure to anchor a single example.
Treat the calculator's optionals slider as a pure budget guess until we have something to source it against.
Wait staff at included meals and hotel porters are covered by the fare already — European hotel meals aside.
Everyone else on the trip — Tour Director, driver, Local Hosts, Local Guides, ship's crew — gets tipped separately, and Globus never puts a dollar figure on it.
Prepaying would simplify things, except it's blocked on Europe, the South Pacific, and Independent tours, which covers three of this calculator's four itineraries.

We captured real 2027-season list and discounted pricing, from one source on one day, for four itineraries: Essential Britain, Classical Greece, Italian Mosaic, and the Small Group Discovery route Paris & Provence.
We'll extend this table as we price more.
Each row starts from the discounted 2027 fare, then adds that tour's day-count in gratuities at $10/day and a flat $200 of optional experiences. The solo column applies a 25% single-supplement placeholder. There is no meals line — see the note above for why.

The pattern here runs opposite to what we found on Cosmos.
The uplift percentage is smallest on the most expensive tours, largest on the cheapest.
Classical Greece's $2,379 discounted fare grows 12% sharing a room and 37% solo — both the worst ratios in this set.
Italian Mosaic and Paris & Provence, the two priciest, grow only 5–6% sharing and 30–31% solo, because the same fixed dollar amount of gratuities and optionals is a smaller slice of a bigger fare.
A cheaper Globus tour looks like the better deal on the advertised price. The uplift percentage narrows that gap once gratuities and optionals are added in.
We did not add airfare, travel insurance, pre- or post-tour hotel nights, visas, or spending money. Every figure above is the tour itself, at this page's stated assumptions.
We also did not add a meals line, and we did not extend this table beyond the four itineraries we've priced. Padding it with unaudited meal counts or unpriced tours would undercut the whole point of this page.
Solo Travel & the Single Supplement
This is the number that most often changes someone's decision. It's also the category where Globus's disclosure gap matters most.
Trafalgar publishes five paired quotes we could verify directly, averaging a 22.9% supplement. Globus doesn't publish comparable paired quotes anywhere we found, so there's no equivalent fixed-average table to show here honestly.
What we do have, verified from Globus's own terms and its solo-travelers page, is the real policy shape.
Globus charges a single supplement by default and doesn't publish a percentage for it.
Its terms describe it only as a quality trade — your own room, not a specific room size — never a dollar figure.
There's also no roommate-matching program, and Globus markets that as a feature rather than a gap: its own solo-travelers page states plainly, "we won't make you share with someone you don't know."
Solo travelers who'd rather save money than lock in privacy should weigh that trade now, not after the deposit's already down.
Globus Escapes departures sidestep the supplement entirely on select tours, based on availability — check whether your specific dates qualify before pricing in the standard rate.
Outside an Escapes departure, budget a supplement in the 20–30% range typical of mainstream coach touring, and confirm your own quote before booking. Confirm it, don't assume it.

Optional Experiences: The Widest Disclosure Gap in This Cluster
Optionals are the most elastic line in any escorted-tour budget. Globus is the least transparent about them of any operator we've covered so far.

Zero sourced data points is not the same claim as "cheap" or "expensive." It's an absence, not a finding about the price itself.
We're not willing to build a "book nothing / book selectively / book everything" cost table the way we did for Trafalgar's European Traveller, or even the single-example table we ran for Cosmos, until we have real Globus prices to work from.
Until then, the calculator's optionals slider is exactly what it looks like: your own budget guess, defaulted to a middling $200.

Gratuities
Globus doesn't quote a flat rate anywhere — that's the starting problem.
Included: wait staff at included meals (hotel meals in Europe don't count) and hotel porters.
Not included: your Tour Director, the driver, Local Hosts, Local Guides, and any ship's crew.
You can technically prepay, but not on Europe, the South Pacific, or Independent departures — three of the four tours priced on this page.
Compare that to Trafalgar, which names a number outright. This calculator's placeholder exists to fill exactly that silence.
Absent a published figure, the calculator defaults to a flat $10 a day — a mid-range illustrative figure, since Globus doesn't publish a recommended rate for us to use instead.

The one part of Globus's pricing that's fully published, tiered and consistent — a real contrast with gratuities and the single supplement.
Deposit
$250 per person on a standard tour, including all four in this calculator.
It rises to $500 on a handful of specific products — trips including Botswana, or the Delfin III and MS Farah cruises.
Gorilla Trekking tours add a separate $800 per person non-refundable permit deposit on top of whichever base amount applies.

Final payment
60 days before departure by default — the tier that covers all four tours in this calculator, since they're all European or French routes.
Globus pushes that to 90 days on a specific list of products: Avalon, Galapagos, several cruise itineraries, Botswana, East Africa, North American overnight trains, and South Pacific and South America tours from 2026.
The Ghan Train and the MS Infinity Galapagos sailing push it further, to 180 days.
One table covers every 2026 and 2027 tour, no per-product variants.
From the final payment date to 30 days before departure, you forfeit 50% of the total price.
From 29 to 1 days out, 80%.

Cancel before the final payment date, and the deposit is all you forfeit — though deposits and Travel Protection payments never come back, no matter when you cancel.
Globus's terms don't say whether you can transfer a reservation to another person — no clause grants it, none forbids it, unlike Trafalgar, which explicitly rules it out.
A name change is listed as a revisable field before final payment, which functions as a minimum $30 revision fee. After final payment, any name change is treated as a full cancellation and new booking instead.
How to Actually Lower the Number
Most "save money on tours" advice is generic. These are specific to how Globus's pricing and disclosure actually behave, based on what we've verified so far.

The biggest lever available on the single supplement, and it's real and first-party.
Select tours are bookable without the charge, based on availability — ask specifically whether your dates qualify before assuming the standard rate applies.
Prefer a pricier, longer tour if the fare gap allows it
Counterintuitive next to Cosmos, but real in this set: Italian Mosaic's uplift ran 6% sharing against Classical Greece's 12%, because the same $10/day and $200 optionals budget is a smaller share of a bigger fare.
If two tours are both realistic for you, the pricier one may close some of that gap back.

The Seabound Verdict
Globus is not hiding anything malicious.
It is charging a premium price and disclosing less than that price would suggest. That's a different problem to plan around, not a smaller one.
Everything in the fare is genuinely there.
The better hotel tier, the porterage, the Choice Excursions on most itineraries, the motorcoach at the same size Cosmos runs.
What the advertised price does not do — a step further than even Trafalgar's own disclosure gap — is give you a fixed rate to plan gratuities, a typical percentage to plan a single supplement around, or a single reference price for optional experiences.
Globus would rather you find out those numbers on tour, or through an Escapes promotion, than publish them upfront.
That's a legitimate way to run a premium brand. It also means a "real cost" calculator for Globus has to be honest about which numbers are verified and which are placeholders you should keep adjusting.
Our advice: use this calculator's defaults as a starting point, not a quote.
Check for an active Escapes departure if you're traveling solo. Ask for your Tour Director's own gratuity guidance rather than trusting the $10/day placeholder blind. Budget real slack into optional experiences until we or you have even one sourced price point to go on.
If the trip still looks good with that slack built in, book it with confidence. If it only looked good at the discounted fare alone, you were never comparing the right number.
