How we chose

How we chose

Position first. Beale Street Landing, the Peabody, the National Civil Rights Museum and the blues clubs are all downtown, so we favoured hotels there.

We can't give you a Forbes or MICHELIN rating for any of these, so none carries an award tag. They're chosen on location, not on a score.

Price didn't decide the order. Whether you want the ducks or a quiet room did.

Embarkation day

Before boarding day

  1. 01

    Check the closed days

The National Civil Rights Museum is closed Tuesdays and the Stax museum on Mondays. A day-before plan depends on which weekday you land.

  2. 02

    Time the ducks

The Peabody's march is at 11 am and 5 pm. A morning arrival can catch the first one.

  3. 03

    Ask what your line includes

Both lines build a hotel night into some products. Ask which night is covered, and for the boarding time at Beale Street Landing, before you add one.
