Which Oceania ship does the world cruise?

Insignia is the line's primary world-cruise hull and the most widely travelled ship in the fleet. That is characteristic of the R class as a whole: Oceania sends its smaller ships on its longest and most port-dense itineraries because they can enter harbors the larger hulls cannot.

Is Oceania Insignia leaving the fleet?

No. Oceania had agreed to charter her to Crescent Seas, a company converting ships into floating residences, but that charter was relinquished. Oceania has said it will instead refit the ship in 2027 for continued service, so she is staying.

How old is Oceania Insignia?

She was built in 1998 at Chantiers de l'Atlantique as R One, making her the first and oldest of the R-class hulls. She was refurbished in December 2018 as the first ship through the $100 million OceaniaNEXT program, which means her work is now the oldest of the four sisters.

Does Oceania Insignia have Red Ginger?

No. Among the R-class ships only Sirena carries Red Ginger. Insignia has Polo Grill and Toscana, along with the Terrace Cafe and Baristas, giving four open-seating restaurants. On a long world voyage that shorter rotation is worth considering.
