The W is the closest full hotel to the North Bund terminal. Marriott lists two pools, the AWAY Spa, a 24-hour gym and five places to eat or drink, about 400 m from our terminal pin.
It sells a car from both airports — ¥1,000 one way from Pudong, ¥800 from Hongqiao, per Marriott. That’s steep against the meter. It’s also one booking, and one less thing to do after a long-haul flight.
Breakfast isn’t promised in the rate. Check yours.
Book it if
- Your ship is at the North Bund and you’d like to roll your bags over
- You want a swim and a spa the night before
- You’re bringing a small dog or cat
Look elsewhere if
- Your ship is at Wusongkou, about 16.5 km north
- Breakfast has to be in the price
- A ¥1,000 airport car feels like too much
