Your trip
Nothing here is submitted anywhere. The numbers marked Seabound estimate are our planning midpoints — overwrite any of them with a real quote and everything below re-prices instantly.
Express Unlimited — whether it came free with your room or you bought it — applies to participating attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It does not currently cover Epic Universe or Volcano Bay, so those days get no Express credit here.
The Universal hotel
Pick the actual hotel and we'll load its tier, its published parking rate, and whether it really includes Express — because only three of the five Signature Collection hotels do.
The nearby hotel
The off-site option this is being weighed against — typically something in the International Drive area. Its resort fee and its parking are where the advertised rate stops being the rate.
Getting to the parks
This is the line item that quietly decides a lot of these. Universal's complimentary resort transportation covers all four parks, so on-site nights pay nothing here — off-site nights pay every day.
Express Unlimited
The honest question, and the one that rigs every other version of this comparison: would you actually buy it? If the answer is no, its retail value is not savings, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Fine-tune the details
Everything here defaults to zero. Open it only if one of these actually applies to your booking.

Straight answers
The same ones we'd give a friend booking this trip.
Which Universal Orlando hotels include Express Unlimited?
Three of them: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. That is three of the five Signature Collection hotels, not all five — Loews Sapphire Falls and Universal Helios Grand carry the Signature badge and the Signature rate without the perk. Every Prime Value and Value hotel is excluded. If a booking page implies the whole Signature tier includes Express, it is wrong.
Does the included Express Unlimited benefit work at Epic Universe?
No. The included benefit applies to participating attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and it does not currently cover Epic Universe or Volcano Bay. Express at Epic Universe is a separate paid purchase, and it is single-use per attraction rather than unlimited. This calculator therefore only credits Express value against your Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure days — an Epic-heavy trip gets no Express credit at all, which is usually what decides it.
Can a single night at a qualifying hotel really cover two park days?
Yes. Eligible registered guests can use the included Express Unlimited benefit on both check-in day and check-out day, so a single night at a qualifying Signature Collection hotel can cover two Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure park days. That is the whole basis of the split-stay strategy: book the qualifying nights around your two busiest park days and stay somewhere cheaper for the rest of the trip.
Do Universal Orlando hotels charge a nightly resort fee?
No Universal Orlando on-site hotel charges a nightly resort fee. Overnight self-parking is charged separately and does vary by tier — roughly $26 a night at Value hotels, $30 at Prime Value and $36 at Signature Collection hotels. Many nearby off-site hotels do charge a resort fee on top of the advertised rate, which is why this calculator gives you a field for it.
Is the retail value of included Express Unlimited real savings?
Only if you would have bought it otherwise. A perk you would never have purchased is not money back in your pocket, and treating it as such is the single most common way these comparisons get rigged in favour of the expensive room. This calculator asks whether you would actually buy Express and only counts its price as avoided spending when you say yes. Say no and the retail value is still shown for reference, but it is excluded from every total.
How much does Universal Express Unlimited cost?
Checked August 2026, the two-park Express Unlimited product runs roughly $159 to $380 per person per day depending on date and crowd level. That is the version the hotel perk provides, valid at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. A cheaper one-park version exists from around $120, and Epic Universe sells its own separate single-use Express instead.
Does staying on-site save on parking?
It moves the cost rather than removing it. Universal hotels charge overnight self-parking of roughly $26 to $36 a night by tier, but complimentary resort transportation covers all four parks, so on-site guests pay no theme-park parking. Off-site guests who drive pay theme-park parking every park day — $35 at the gate or $32 pre-paid online, free after 6pm on most nights.
What is a split stay and when does it win?
You book the qualifying Express hotel only for the nights that wrap your busiest Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure days, then move to a cheaper hotel for the rest. Because the benefit covers check-in and check-out day, one night can cover two park days. It tends to win on longer trips where only two or three days really need Express, and loses on short trips where the moving day costs you more than the saving.
