Deposit Transfer: Cosmos's Alternative to a Credit
Cosmos doesn't offer Trafalgar's multi-year deposit-protection credit. What it offers instead is a transfer, not a credit. Understand it on its own terms.
What you get
Cosmos's own terms state: "Deposits may be transferred to an alternate trip up to 180 days before the departure date of the current reservation." If your plans change well ahead of departure, you can move the same money to a different Cosmos trip rather than forfeiting it outright.
The money survives. The trip doesn't.
What it isn't
It isn't a cash refund, and it isn't a credit voucher the way Trafalgar's is — there's no separate $200 credit sitting apart from your deposit.

The window is tighter

No-Shows, Unused Services and Leaving Early

"No refunds will be issued for unused services (late arrivals, temporary absences from your trip or early departures), for unused transportation where group activity tickets are involved, or for voluntary modifications made by you."
