Everything to know about your match
The six things people ask about a ship’s entertainment before they book, answered for her. It all updates as you tap.
Where every ship lands for you
Every ship is a light on the stage, placed by her Fit for you and by how our guides score her entertainment overall. Change a tap and the fleet moves into its new order. Hover over a light to name her, or pick a line to find yours.
How late does she run?
Every ship in your list, from early-to-bed to last-call, by how many late rooms her guide names and how it scores her nightlife. Hover a tick to name her.
Every ship, in order for you
What the Fit score means
It starts with our guides
Every ship here has a Seabound entertainment guide. Each one scores seven things from 1 to 10: production shows, live music, activities, recreation and attractions, nightlife, family entertainment and kids clubs. It also names her shows, her bars and clubs, what costs extra, what to book, and what’s worth your time. Entertainment Fit reads all of it.
Your taps set the weights
Who’s coming sets the base: young kids lean on kids clubs and family shows, teens on the teen club and the thrills, couples on shows and live music, friends on nightlife. Your perfect night and your perfect sea day add the rest. Each must-have adds weight of its own, measured against the whole fleet.
A must-have a ship doesn’t have costs her
Ask for a comedy club and a ship without one takes a 20% cut, and the reason shows on her row. If her guide can’t confirm it either way, the cut is 12%. Bring kids and the adults-only lines, Virgin, Viking and Oceania, leave your list. If no ship has everything, your match card says so and names the best ship that does.
100 means the top of the fleet
A Fit of 100 means a ship sits at the top of the fleet on everything you asked for. Around 65 is the middle. It’s a match score for you, not a verdict on the ship. A low Fit can still be a great ship whose nights look different from yours.
Straight answers
Is this a ranking of the best cruise ship entertainment?
No. It ranks ships by how well their entertainment fits the nights and sea days you described. A ship near the bottom of your list can have great shows. She's just built for a different kind of night. Change one tap and watch the order change.
Where do the numbers and show names come from?
From our own entertainment guides, one per ship. 179 ships on 13 lines are in the tool. Each guide scores seven categories from 1 to 10: production shows, live music, activities, recreation and attractions, nightlife, family entertainment and kids clubs. It also names her current shows, her bars and clubs, what costs extra, what to book ahead and what's worth your time. Entertainment Fit reads those guides and nothing else, and every result links to the guide behind it.
Are the shows included in the fare?
The main theater shows, live music, comedy and the clubs are in the fare on every line here. The exceptions are what to watch: dinner-theater shows, some ticketed adults-only shows, escape rooms, laser tag, go-karts, arcades, the casino and the spa usually cost extra. Open "Included or extra?" under your match to see exactly what her guide lists.
Do I need to reserve shows?
It depends on the line. Royal Caribbean and Norwegian take free show reservations before you sail, Norwegian from online check-in about 21 days out. MSC and Virgin book through their apps. Disney needs no reservations for its stage shows. Open "What to book" under your match for what her guide says, and if you miss a booking, join the standby line about 15 minutes early.
What happens if a ship doesn't have a must-have?
She takes a 20% cut before her Fit is set, and the reason shows on her row. If her guide can't confirm it either way, the cut is 12%, and the row says "not confirmed". If no ship in your list has everything, your match card says so and names the best ship that does.
Can I bring kids on every ship?
No. Oceania, Viking and Virgin sail adults-only, 18 and over. Pick young kids, tweens and teens, or three generations, or a teen club or character meets, and those ships leave your list. When Disney isn't your match but comes close, her best ship takes the alternate slot.
What does the price level do?
It picks which lines you see. Mainstream is Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC and Margaritaville at Sea. Premium is Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, Virgin Voyages and Cunard. Luxury is Oceania and Viking. Disney shows at Mainstream and Premium, because its fares run about what Royal Caribbean's newest ships charge. The value pick under your match is the best fit from a cheaper price level.
What's the marquee?
Her playbill: the shows her guide names as running now, ordered for the kind of night you picked, with what's in the fare and what to book. Under it are the bars and rooms for after the show. If her guide names no current titles, the marquee says so rather than guess.
What's in Your nights aboard?
A night-by-night plan for 4, 7 or 10 nights built from her real shows and rooms. Most theaters run each show twice a night around the dinner seatings, so the daily planner has the times. Shorter sailings may not run every show.
Do my answers carry over to the other tools?
Yes. Your taps are saved in this browser and the other Seabound Fit tools can start from them. If you've used Ship Fit, Entertainment Fit starts from those answers, and Ship Fit uses your Entertainment Fit scores for the entertainment part of the trip. Nothing leaves your device. Tap Forget them under the questions to clear it.
What does the quote button send?
A short note we've written for you: your match, who's coming, how you spend your nights and sea days, your must-haves, why she won and the shows you'd want, with a line for your dates, party size and cabin type. You can edit it before you send it. No fee, no obligation, and it goes only to Seabound Journeys.
How current are the shows?
Our guides were checked through October 2026, and each one notes where a show title couldn't be confirmed for this season. Lines change their lineups, sometimes mid-season, so we confirm your sailing's shows when we quote.
Got a shortlist? We'll tell you what to book.
Which shows to book the minute the app opens, which nights to skip the theater, and whether your second-place ship is the better trip once dates and price are on the table. Same price as booking direct.
