The World Stage spans three forward decks (1-3) as Oosterdam's main show venue. Trade press covering Holland America's July 2026 World Stage expansion confirms four current productions here.

Holland America Line and Rolling Stone Present All Access: The Songs That Shaped Us is a rock concert built around artists like the Eagles, Janis Joplin, Van Halen and Fleetwood Mac. It features live singers, dancers and a full band.

Fosse and Verdon, The Duet That Changed Broadway is a 45-minute, 12-performer tribute to Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. It's built with The Verdon Fosse Legacy, using reconstructed choreography and archival footage. Decadence is a Vegas-and-Hollywood-glamour showgirl production, and Disco Fever is a disco-themed revue.

The lineup is confirmed running on sailings from August 22 through December 19, 2026.

Fosse and Verdon is the specific, dated standout worth flagging on its own. It debuted aboard Koningsdam in early 2024 under a five-year cruise-industry exclusivity deal.

Independent trade coverage of the July 2026 expansion confirms it's now also running on Oosterdam — not just Koningsdam's own page repeating the claim.

That's the same licensed production a Pinnacle Class flagship built part of her own Production score around. It's now on Holland America's oldest active hull.

The honest note: this four-show lineup is new enough (rolled out mid-2026). This page found detailed descriptions of each production.

It found no independent reviewer quality verdict on the refreshed slate itself.

That's unlike the specific sourced praise or criticism this project found for several of her fleetmates' shows. On nights without a full production, the World Stage hosts comedians, destination talks and movie screenings.

Music Walk occupies Deck 2, open nightly roughly 7-10:30 p.m. across two purpose-built rooms. Rolling Stone Lounge is a live-band dance-floor venue, cosmetically refreshed in the ship's April 2025 dry dock with new carpet, furnishings and LED lighting — Cruise Critic's own current ship review calls the room "cool, dark, and hip."

Billboard Onboard runs the dueling-piano sing-along format with afternoon trivia.

What this page previously (and incorrectly) claimed: that Oosterdam had kept a third venue, B.B. King's Blues Club, that a newer Signature Class sister had lost.

That was wrong. Oosterdam converted B.B.

King's Blues Club to Rolling Stone Lounge in the same fleetwide Vista Class conversion as sisters Noordam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam. That ran between February and early summer 2023.

That's confirmed against Holland America's own current official ship page and its current Rolling Stone Lounge venue page.

An April 2024 Holland America press release stated it plainly. The conversion was already complete on all four Vista Class ships by that date.

The April 2025 dry dock refreshed the already-renamed Rolling Stone Lounge cosmetically. It did not restore B.B.

King's Blues Club or add a third venue, and no live-music venue distinguishes Oosterdam from her three sisters here.

What holds this level with sisters Noordam and Westerdam, not up with Zuiderdam: Zuiderdam's own card carries confirmed 2025 additions. This page found no evidence of them on Oosterdam.

Those additions: a resident Vivace string trio, an expanded Breton Thunder Celtic-music program and a new Crow's Nest bandstand.

Holland America's July 2025 entertainment rollout also names six specific ships. They receive The Dam Band's live-orchestra accompaniment and a regional-soloist program (steel pan in the Caribbean, folk guitar in Alaska, mariachi in Mexico).

Oosterdam is not among them, so none of those additions are confirmed on this ship either.

The sports deck runs complimentary pickleball lessons and tournaments. That's confirmed current on Oosterdam under Holland America's Professional Pickleball Association partnership.

Explorations Central (EXC) on Deck 10 handles destination lectures, shore-excursion planning, board games and shuffleboard.

Regular cooking demonstrations feature the executive chef and regional specialties. In 2024, Oosterdam's line became the first to launch an Audible book-club partnership.

That's per Holland America's own materials.

A library and an art gallery running regular auctions round out a normal sea day. So do galley tours, flower-arranging demonstrations and fitness seminars.

Daily trivia and Ping-Pong tournaments round things out too.

Well-documented, currently active programming. This page's research did not turn up dedicated needlework, calligraphy or origami-style craft classes.

Sister-class Koningsdam has that kind of slate confirmed.

That's an evidence gap this page holds, not a confirmed absence.

The Lido Pool sits under a sliding glass dome with a penguin sculpture centerpiece and three whirlpools, two of them added new in the ship's April 2025 dry dock. The Sea View Pool sits aft with two more hot tubs refurbished the same year.

Both pools received new resin coating.

The Greenhouse Spa & Salon was substantially rebuilt in 2025. New additions: a co-ed sauna, a couple's massage room, and a rebuilt Thermal Suite with a new Laconium thermal room, steam room and experiential rain shower.

Expanded manicure and pedicure stations round it out.

The Fitness Center received new equipment and flooring in the same refit. A Deck 3 walking track (three laps to the mile) rounds out the complex.

What's confirmed absent, stated directly, not assumed from Holland America's older-skewing reputation. Cruise Critic's own review states the ship "lacks splashy amenities like waterslides and ziplines." Neither did this page's research find a rock climbing wall or ropes course.

No ice rink, laser tag arena or escape room turned up either. That's the same full sweep already confirmed on sister-class Koningsdam and Eurodam.

One small but real change from the 2025 refit: the ship's former movie theater was converted into Effy Lounge, a jewelry retail space. Oosterdam no longer carries a dedicated screening room separate from the World Stage.

Music Walk's three venues keep the evening going until roughly 10:30 p.m. The casino was expanded in the 2025 dry dock.

It added 34 new slot machines and a digital table game. It runs occasional late tournament nights.

What separates this from a research gap: Cruise Critic's own review is explicit. Oosterdam is "a bit sleepy once the music stops," and evening options "dwindle as the evening turns to night."

No purpose-built nightclub or late-night DJ format designed for adult-first partying is confirmed anywhere aboard.

That's a sourced reviewer verdict about this specific ship, not simply the standard "no dedicated nightclub" finding already established across Holland America's fleet. It's the reason this score sits below sister-class Koningsdam's and Signature Class ship Eurodam's own Nightlife bands.

Cruise Critic's own review notes something specific. Oosterdam's Caribbean itineraries draw more family cruisers aboard than her typical destination-heavy sailings elsewhere.

That's real. This page specifically checked for a parade, a family festival, family-branded trivia or a game show, and a scheduled family movie night.

None turned up. Family-travel writers have praised that kind of programming on sister-class Koningsdam.

The same Cruise Critic review is direct about the ship's overall positioning: Oosterdam is "best suited for mature, well-traveled passengers, not families." That's a sourced framing about family programming specifically, not simply thinner research coverage.

It's a large part of why this score sits at the bottom of Holland America's fleet. That's as scored in this project so far.

Club HAL splits ages 3-6 and 7-11 into two groups on Deck 10. It runs painting, story time, puzzles, computers and a small stage.

It runs on a standard 8 a.m.-4 p.m. port-day schedule with lunch service. A fee-based After Hours extension is also available.

Children must be completely toilet-trained and pull-up free to join.

Enrollment starts at age 3, with no exceptions. No babysitting or daycare of any kind is available below that age.

That confirms Holland America's fleet-wide absence of a staffed nursery under age 3. Teens 12-17 get The Loft, an adjacent adult-free space with mocktail-making, hip-hop classes, video games and staff-versus-teens volleyball.

What holds this below a higher band is a specific, dated finding, not a guess. A family-travel review of Oosterdam found the teen space inconsistently used and poorly signposted.

It reported "there was never anyone in there when we walked by." It also reported "hours weren't listed on the doors or on the daily schedule."

The reviewer's own teenage daughter was left disappointed by the age-appropriateness of what was offered. That review predates the ship's 2025 dry dock.

It's stated here as dated evidence of a reported problem, not a confirmed current condition either way.

The World Stage anchors Decks 1-3 as the main show venue. On Deck 2, Music Walk carries the live-music program across Rolling Stone Lounge and Billboard Onboard.

The casino sits nearby.

Crow's Nest occupies the ship's forward observation deck. It was redesigned in the 2025 dry dock into a dedicated Arts Studio, Games Room and Puzzle Area.

Gallery Bar, Ocean Bar and the poolside Lido Bar round out the drinking venues. Effy Lounge (a jewelry retail space that replaced the ship's small movie theater in 2025) sits nearby.

The Lido Pool and Sea View Pool carry recreation on Deck 9, alongside the Fitness Center and Deck 3 walking track. Club HAL and The Loft sit on Deck 10 for younger guests.

Included: all World Stage productions and guest-entertainer nights. Also included: Rolling Stone Lounge and Billboard Onboard's standard live sets, and daily trivia and enrichment activities.

Also included: pickleball courts and lessons, EXC lectures and shore-excursion planning, and Club HAL and The Loft during standard published hours.

Nothing confirmed on Oosterdam fits this section's scope of ticketed entertainment experiences or attractions. No immersive dinner theater, no magic or theatrical experience and no escape room turned up.

Neither did a racetrack, simulator, or any ticketed interactive attraction distinct from her included World Stage lineup.

That's a plain absence, not a weakness scored anywhere on this card. If a future refit or itinerary adds one, this section is where it would be recorded.

World Stage productions and Music Walk's sets run on published nightly schedules. Seating is open and general-admission, not an advance-reservation system.

Arrive early for a preferred seat on busier sailings.

Greenhouse Spa treatments and specialty dining should be booked in advance through the Holland America Navigator app. Capacity is tightly limited in each.

Pickleball court time can generally be reserved the same way.

Club HAL and The Loft run on standing published hours and don't require booking.

Travelers who want a complete, currently-confirmed live-music lineup will find real value here. So will those wanting a relaxed, mid-size ship.

She was freshly refreshed in 2025.

The currently active pickleball program and Audible partnership give real, current hardware to work with. Enrichment-minded and active travelers benefit most.

So should teens wanting more than the standard Loft offering. The same goes for cruisers specifically chasing waterslides, a rock wall, laser tag, an escape room or a dedicated late-night nightclub.

None of that exists on Oosterdam today.

Class verification, checked rather than assumed. ships.csv groups Noordam, Westerdam, Oosterdam and Zuiderdam under one Vista Class slug. That checks out against independent sourcing.

All four were built by Fincantieri at its Marghera yard in Italy, between 2002 and 2006.

Zuiderdam came first (December 2002), then Oosterdam (July 2003), Westerdam (2004) and Noordam (2006). All four sit in a tight 82,000-83,000 gross ton band, carrying roughly 1,900-1,950 guests at double occupancy.

This page's own research figure: 82,305 GT and 1,964 maximum-occupancy guests. That sits close enough to ships.csv's 82,000 GT and 1,900.

It reflects ordinary rounding and remeasurement, not a data error. That's the same pattern already established on Eurodam's own card.

The Vista Class isn't merely Holland America's oldest active class. Independent reference sourcing describes the Signature Class (Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam) as a direct Vista Class derivative.

The Pinnacle Class (Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam) descends from the same hull family a generation further on. Unlike several NCL classes this project has had to correct, Holland America's Vista Class grouping holds up. ships.csv has it right, as recorded.

Noordam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam are being scored separately in this project. Each should be read on her own evidence — not assumed identical to Oosterdam.

What separates this ship from her newer Holland America relatives, confirmed rather than assumed shared. Signature Class ship Eurodam (2008, 86,700 GT) and Pinnacle Class flagship Koningsdam (2016, roughly 99,700 GT) both carry more show-venue technology.

Oosterdam's World Stage stays conventional by comparison.

Neither a wraparound LED screen nor a confirmed Dam Band live orchestra turned up.

Music Walk itself is no longer a point of difference. Oosterdam runs the same two-venue Rolling Stone Lounge and Billboard Onboard format.

Eurodam converted to it in December 2023.

Oosterdam's own B.B. King's Blues Club was converted to Rolling Stone Lounge.

That happened fleetwide, across all four Vista Class ships, between February and early summer 2023.

What Oosterdam does carry that neither fully matches: her July 2026 World Stage refresh. It carried Koningsdam's own licensed Fosse and Verdon production onto her stage, and it's newer than the April 2024 refresh Eurodam received.

Against other lines already scored in this project. Oosterdam's 4.4 is one of the lower Holland America scores in this project.

She sits below Eurodam (4.8), Nieuw Amsterdam (5.2), Koningsdam (5.3), Rotterdam (5.3) and Nieuw Statendam (5.4). She's also below Celebrity Cruises' full range (5.1-6.1).

That tracks her standing as the fleet's oldest and smallest currently active hull. Her Live Entertainment score now matches sisters Noordam and Westerdam.

That's not the three-venue advantage this page previously (and incorrectly) credited her with.

Sourced reviewer negatives on Nightlife and Family pull the rest of her card down. So does the fleet-wide absence of thrill hardware.
