It depends what you value. Sonata arrives in 2027 at around 86,000 gross tons carrying 1,390 guests, which will make her the largest ship in Oceania history, with four more sisters following through 2037. If newest and largest is the appeal, waiting makes sense. If you like Oceania because the ships are small, sail this generation while it is current.

Is Oceania Allura all suites?

Yes. Like her sister Vista she carries 1,200 guests in 600 suites, so every accommodation is a suite rather than a stateroom. It is the clearest hardware difference between the Allura class and the older Marina and Riviera.

Where does Oceania Allura sail?

Her 2026 pattern covers the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with a Mexican Riviera season in autumn. That Mexican season is the one deployment difference between her and Vista, which otherwise works the same regions.

Is Oceania adults only?

Yes. Oceania went adults-only across the entire fleet on 1 January 2026, with a minimum age of 18. It was a deliberate repositioning within parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings to separate Oceania more clearly from Regent above it and Norwegian below it.
