The Restaurants, Rated

Disney Springs holds the property's deepest restaurant bench — and because most of it is run by outside restaurateurs, quality swings from genuinely great to genuinely skippable. This page scores all twenty-two table-service rooms and says plainly where the money should land.

Climb for occasion, not quality

One drawing reorganises every dinner decision in the district.

The useful surprise about Disney Springs dining is that price and quality decouple early. The middle of the market — Jaleo, Wine Bar George, Frontera, Enzo's — cooks at the level of the expensive rooms for two-thirds of the bill, while the priciest tickets buy waterfront ceremony and celebrity names more than better plates.

So the ladder on this page climbs by occasion: the blowout rung when the night is the event, the sweet spot for eating well on an ordinary evening, the counter stars when the evening has other plans, and the animatronic tier when a six-year-old's dinosaur dreams outvote the adults — which is a legitimate vote.

Scores are this guide's own, grounded in the major reviewers' published consensus and date-stamped July 2026. The full scored table waits below the tiers.

How to read the board

Scores weight cooking first, room and service second, value third — and they are editorial judgements grounded in the reviewer consensus, not laboratory measurements. Bands follow Disney's own $-tier convention (a $$ dinner lands roughly $15–35 a head before drinks). The bottom three scores come with the standing caveat that animatronic spectacle is worth real money to small children — budget accordingly, order simply.

05

Booking and eating craft

The habits that separate a great Springs food night from an expensive queue.

Do this

Set the 60-day alarm for the pantheon. Homecomin' and the Boathouse book like castle restaurants; weekday dates forgive lateness better than weekends.

Split the visit: counter lunch, booked dinner. The Polite Pig at noon and Jaleo at eight is the district's perfect food day.

Use the dining plan where it works. Most third-party rooms take 2026 credits (Boathouse, Jaleo, Morimoto dinner and Paddlefish run two); Wine Bar George stays cash.

Flash the passholder card. Ten per cent rides on most bills, fifteen at the Edison — small, but it compounds across a trip.

Skip this

Paying pantheon prices for celebrity nostalgia. The consensus cellar is priced like the sweet spot; the scores explain themselves.

Walk-up hopes on weekend evenings. By seven the good rooms are booked and the bar seats are triage — book or go early.

Dessert queues at peak. Gideon's runs a virtual queue for a reason; opening hour and after nine are the cookie's honest hours.

Ordering ambitiously at the animatronic tier. The kitchens there reward simplicity; the show is the dish.

The one-line verdict

Book one great table at sixty days, eat the counters at noon, and never pay ceremony prices for a volcano.

06

Straight answers

What travellers actually ask about Springs dining, answered plainly.

What are the best restaurants at Disney Springs?

The reviewer consensus — and this guide's scores — put four rooms at the top: Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' (9.5), The Boathouse (9.3), Raglan Road (9.0) and Morimoto Asia (8.9), followed closely by Jaleo and Wine Bar George at 8.8. All book hardest at weekends; the 60-day window is the reliable route.

Which Disney Springs restaurants should I skip?

For adults dining without children: Planet Hollywood (5.5 — the major reviewers' consensus cellar) and the animatronic pair, Rainforest Cafe (5.8) and T-REX (6.0), whose cooking draws chain comparisons. The honest caveat: with small children the animatronic pair delivers real joy — go for the child, order simply.

Do Disney Springs restaurants take the dining plan?

Mostly yes in 2026 — a change from the old assumption. One table-service credit covers Homecomin', Raglan Road, Frontera, the Edison, Enzo's and most of the bench; two credits cover the Boathouse, Jaleo, Paddlefish and Morimoto dinner. Wine Bar George is the notable non-participant. Verify your specific room before counting credits.

How hard are Disney Springs reservations?

The pantheon books like park dining — Homecomin' especially — so use the 60-day window for weekend dates. The sweet-spot tier usually has same-week availability, many rooms also book through the national platforms, and bar seating at Wine Bar George, the Edison and Morimoto's balcony rescues plenty of plan-free evenings.

What's the best cheap eating at Disney Springs?

The counter tier: the Polite Pig's Michelin-recognised barbecue, D-Luxe Burger, Maneet Chauhan's eet, Cookes of Dublin's fish and chips — most landing under half a booked table's spend — with Gideon's half-pound cookies and Salt & Straw for dessert. Counter lunch plus booked dinner is the district's perfect food day.

What changed at Disney Springs dining in 2026?

As of mid-2026: Sprinkles closed in January with its chain; the West Side food trucks (including the 4 Rivers barbacoa truck) left permanently in June; Level99 arrived with its own scratch kitchen; and Six Ravens — a savoury hand-pie concept from the Gideon's team — is announced for later in 2026 but not yet open.

Are these ratings official?

No — they are this guide's editorial scores, grounded in the published consensus of the major independent reviewers as of July 2026 and our own judgement about value. Kitchens change chefs and menus; treat any rating, including ours, as a date-stamped opinion rather than a permanent fact.
