Every line now says it has fast internet. The difference is what they let you do with it, and on how many screens.

Holland America, for one, now runs Starlink across its fleet 2, and faster connections have made speed less of a dividing line than it used to be. Price, streaming and the device rule matter more.

“Official” means the line shows the price on a public page. “Reported” means it’s behind a login or only onboard, so we use dated reports from people who bought it.

03How we score Wi-Fi in the rankings

In our premium drinks plus streaming ranking, Wi-Fi counts for 20% of the score, and we score what a guest can actually do with it:

10

Four streaming devices at once per guest. Princess Premier.

7

One streaming connection per guest that can move between devices. Norwegian Plus, Celebrity Premium, Royal Caribbean VOOM, Holland America Stream, Carnival Premium.

6.5

One streaming connection locked to a single device for the cruise. MSC Browse & Stream.

Speed isn’t in the score. The published plans don’t promise speeds we could compare fairly.

04Line by line: the details that change the answer

  • Royal Caribbean sells one tier, and it streams. Prices vary by sailing; one Star of the Seas sailing showed $32.99 for one device and less per device for two to four 8.
  • Celebrity no longer sells Basic Wi-Fi on its own; it comes only inside All Included 10. Its Ultimate Bundle pairs Premium drinks with Premium Wi-Fi for two devices, $100.99 a day on one sailing we checked, against $91.99 for the drinks alone 26.
  • Norwegian’s packages don’t work at Great Stirrup Cay or Harvest Caye 20. A four-device streaming plan has been reported at $84.99 a day, from one source only 3.
  • MSC locks the first device you connect to the plan for the whole cruise, and its packages work at Ocean Cay on a separate network 1314.
  • Carnival moves Wi-Fi to prices that vary by sailing from December 1, 2026 27.
  • Princess dropped its standalone four-device plan on October 13, 2026 and added a two-device one 15.
  • Holland America’s Premium tier handles calls and messaging but not video streaming; you need Stream for that 2.
  • Disney sells Wi-Fi only once you’re aboard, through the Navigator app, and raised prices in January 2026 16.
  • Virgin Voyages includes free Wi-Fi at The Beach Club at Bimini 28.

05How to pay less

  • Buy before you sail. Holland America says pre-cruise saves 20%; Carnival and Princess charge less before you sail than onboard; MSC discounts prepaid plans 211513.
  • Count devices, not people. If only one person needs to stream, a one-device plan plus free messaging apps may be all you need.
  • Check the bundle first. Norwegian Plus, Princess Premier and Virgin’s Premium fare include streaming, and the rankings price them that way.
  • Use port days. Your phone plan or a café ashore can carry the big downloads.

Q&AQuick answers

How much is Wi-Fi on a cruise in 2026?

Streaming plans run roughly $24 to $49 per device per day. Carnival’s Premium plan starts at $25.50 before you sail, Holland America’s Stream plan is $38 onboard, and Disney’s Internet + Streaming is reported at $49. Most lines show prices only after you log in.

Which cruise line has the best Wi-Fi deal?

If you’re buying a bundle anyway, Princess Premier covers four devices per guest and Norwegian’s Free at Sea Plus includes streaming for each guest. On its own, Carnival’s Premium plan is the lowest published streaming price.

Does Free at Sea include Wi-Fi?

Norwegian’s Free at Sea includes 150 minutes per guest with no streaming. Free at Sea Plus adds a streaming pass for each guest in the cabin.

Can I use one Wi-Fi plan on several devices?

Usually one at a time. Carnival and Holland America allow one device online at a time. MSC locks each plan to one device for the whole cruise. Royal Caribbean, Princess and MSC sell multi-device plans.

Can I buy Disney Cruise Line Wi-Fi before my cruise?

No. Disney sells its Internet and Internet + Streaming packages only onboard, through the Navigator app.
