Cozy Interior
161 to 175 sq ft, sleeps up to four, and spread over seven decks — more choice of location than any other category. A sleeper sofa is listed, but not for every room, so a third and fourth guest need the right cabin number.
The line has published sizes for every regular category. Here they are, with the occupancy limits that matter more than square footage.
Book the Breezy Balcony unless a perk changes your math.
Best simple buy: Breezy Balcony — 196 sq ft, a 40 sq ft balcony, a mini fridge and up to four guests.
Best upgrade for two: Wake View Balcony — the room is a touch smaller, but the 90 sq ft aft balcony is more than twice the size.
Balcony trade-off: the bigger outdoor spaces all cap occupancy — Wake View and Serene Junior Suite take two, Grand Terrace three.
Families: four-berth rooms exist in five categories, but five or more of you means two cabins.
the tape measure
Ten categories with official sizes, two named suites without. Bars are drawn to scale.
The line now publishes a size for every regular category — ten of them. Only the two Bridge Wing Suites are missing one.
Read these as the line’s own figures, not ours. Each page gives the room area and the balcony area as two separate numbers, without saying whether the first includes the second, so we show them side by side.
The Serene Junior Suite page lists a “Private Balcony (252 – 333 sq ft).” That would make the balcony bigger than the 230–240 sq ft room, and bigger than the Signature Grand Suite’s 88 sq ft one. We think it’s a typo on the line’s page, so don’t pay a premium for it until the line confirms the real figure for your cabin number.
Swipe sideways on a phone, and the source link opens the line’s page for that category.

The ship page says Beachcomber has 10 stateroom types; the accommodations page lists 12. The gap is the two single Bridge Wing Suites, each sold as its own listing — same ship, two ways of counting.
Filter by what you need. Every card is built from the line’s category page, not from Costa-era reviews.
161 to 175 sq ft, sleeps up to four, and spread over seven decks — more choice of location than any other category. A sleeper sofa is listed, but not for every room, so a third and fourth guest need the right cabin number.
A window with something in front of it, for two guests at most — the page says “partially or fully obstructed” and doesn’t say by what. If the window matters, pay for Picturesque; if it doesn’t, compare its fare with Cozy Interior’s.
An ocean-view window on Decks 1 and 2, close to the waterline, 165 to 208 sq ft and room for four. The family window room, not the couple’s splurge.
Aft picture windows on Deck 2, for two guests only, and the widest size range on the ship: 187 to 298 sq ft. Ask for the room number’s exact size, because the top of that range comes within 7 sq ft of a Grand Terrace Suite’s interior.
The only category on Deck 11, beside the spa: 231 sq ft, floor-to-ceiling windows and room for four. The perks are spa ones — priority treatment booking (tattoos excluded), spa discounts, upgraded products and robes, but no suite dinner menu.
The standard balcony: 196 sq ft inside, a 40 sq ft balcony with chairs and a table, a mini fridge, up to four guests, five decks to choose from. This is the default buy on Beachcomber.
Slightly smaller inside (183 to 193 sq ft) but a 90 sq ft aft balcony — more than double the Breezy one. It takes two guests with no sofa listed, which makes it the couple’s upgrade, not the family one.
230 to 240 sq ft for two, with the suite dinner menu, concierge and priority boarding. The balcony is listed at 252 to 333 sq ft, which would be larger than the room itself; treat it as unconfirmed until the line corrects or confirms it.
305 sq ft plus a 67 sq ft balcony, a separate seating area, upgraded linens and the full entry suite benefit set. Three guests maximum, not four.
Eight of them, all on Deck 7, each themed on a Jimmy Buffett song. 400 sq ft plus an 88 sq ft balcony, a double sleeper sofa for up to four, a mini bar and a walk-in shower. The only regular category with concierge lounge access.
Two named suites forward on Deck 9, above the bridge, which the line calls the largest suites in its fleet — yet it publishes no size, occupancy or price. What it does publish: terrace breakfast and dinner on request, a dedicated concierge, lounge access and a priority bridge tour.
Each rung shows what you actually gain, so stop climbing at the first one that gives you everything you’d use.
You gain 21 to 35 sq ft inside, a 40 sq ft balcony and a mini fridge, and keep four berths. For most travelers this is the upgrade that changes the trip.
The room shrinks a little and the balcony more than doubles, to 90 sq ft facing the wake — but you lose the sofa and the third and fourth berths.
231 sq ft, a wall of glass and priority spa booking. Worth it only if you’d book treatments anyway.
About 34 to 44 more sq ft than a Breezy Balcony, plus the suite dinner menu, concierge and priority. Suite gratuities are $25 per person, per night against $22 — confirm which rate your category bills.
Roughly 70 sq ft more inside and a separate seating area, with the same benefit set and one more berth (three).
Another 95 sq ft, a fourth berth, a mini bar and the concierge lounge. The lounge is the real difference.
Beachcomber sailed as Costa Fortuna until September 2026. Reviews under that name tell you about layout and cabin positions, which a refit rarely moves — they tell you nothing about the new furnishings.
Party size first, outdoor space second, budget third, perks last. Change an answer to see how the pick moves.
Four questions. It weighs occupancy rules first, because the wrong pick there can’t be fixed onboard. This is a preference tool, not a rating.
dinner included
The dining perk reaches every suite category. The lounge doesn’t.
Every Beachcomber suite category lists a complimentary suite-exclusive dinner menu in the main dining rooms — a different menu in Fins or the Beachcomber dining room, not a private suite restaurant.
The concierge lounge is narrower: only Signature Grand Suites and the two Bridge Wing Suites list it.
The Bridge Wings add breakfast and dinner served on your own terrace, on request.
| Category | Suite dinner menu in main dining rooms | Concierge | Concierge lounge | Priority boarding & debarkation | Also |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| St. Somewhere Premium Ocean View | No | No | No | No | Priority spa booking, spa discounts, robes |
| Serene Junior Suite | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | Robes, 2 waters |
| Grand Terrace Suite | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | Seating area, upgraded linens |
| Signature Grand Suite | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Mini bar, walk-in shower, song-themed décor |
| Bridge Wing Suites (2) | Yes | Dedicated | Yes | Yes | Terrace breakfast & dinner on request; priority bridge tour |
Suites pay $25 per person, per night in gratuities against $22 in staterooms. For two people on a seven-night sailing that’s $42 more (our arithmetic). The line doesn’t list which Beachcomber categories bill at the suite rate, so confirm it on your quote.
Choose your party size. The answer changes more than you’d expect.
Don’t assume a bigger room sleeps more — on Beachcomber it often sleeps fewer, with the Wake View Balcony and Serene Junior Suite capped at two and the Grand Terrace Suite at three.
Your options widen at three: Cozy Interior, Picturesque Ocean View, Premium Ocean View, Breezy Balcony, Grand Terrace Suite and Signature Grand Suite all list three or more.
The Grand Terrace Suite stops at three, which makes it the neatest suite for two parents and one child, and the wrong one for two kids.
Ask for the sofa: the asterisk on most pages means some rooms in a category don’t have it.
Five categories list four guests: Cozy Interior, Picturesque Ocean View, St. Somewhere Premium Ocean View, Breezy Balcony and Signature Grand Suite.
The deck plan also names quad versions of Cozy Interior, Picturesque Ocean View and Breezy Balcony. Ask for a quad by name, then confirm the third and fourth berths by cabin number.
Pullman beds fold down from the wall — fine for kids, a climb for adults.
No Beachcomber category the line has published takes five, and while the Bridge Wing Suites might, their occupancy isn’t published.
Book two cabins. The deck-plan legend has a connecting-stateroom symbol, but which rooms carry it can’t be read from the text version of the plan, so we confirm connecting pairs by number with the line.
Price two Breezy Balconies against one Signature Grand Suite before you decide — two cabins also mean two bathrooms.
Four categories cap at two guests and are built for couples: Partial Ocean View, Wake Ocean View, Wake View Balcony and Serene Junior Suite.
The legend lists king beds that split into twins — “most” can be separated on request — plus some kings that can’t be split and some twins that can’t be joined. If you’re travelling with a friend, confirm the bed by room number.
Only what the line’s pages support. Where the evidence runs out, we say so and tell you what to ask.
Both Bridge Wing Suites sit here, above the bridge — the far end of the ship from the aft pool decks, with a private terrace.
Wake Ocean View rooms (Deck 2) and Wake View Balconies (Decks 6–8) face the wake. The line puts 5 o’Clock Somewhere on the upper aft decks across four levels, so on Deck 8 aft ask what’s directly above your room.
St. Somewhere Premium Ocean View is the only stateroom category this high, beside the spa and a short walk from treatments.
Picturesque Ocean View sits low, closest to the waterline — the pool deck is a longer ride up.
No category lists these decks. The main dining rooms are on Decks 3 and 4, per the line, but other venue decks aren’t published in readable form yet.
We can’t tell you yet which cabins sit under the nightclub or Same Boat — the deck plan’s venue labels don’t map to decks in its text. Light sleepers should ask us to check the exact room against the printed plan.
Deck 1 Coral Reef · 2 Changes in Attitude · 3 Flip Flop · 4 Nautical Wheeler · 5 Livin’ It Up · 6 Last Mango · 7 Painted Sky · 8 Limes and Salt · 9 5 o’Clock Somewhere · 10 Lucky Star · 11 St. Somewhere. The plan numbers Decks 1–12 and 14, with no 13.
Accessible rooms are flagged in three categories: Cozy Interior, Partial Ocean View and Breezy Balcony, and the line describes them as having grab bars and raised toilet seats.
No door widths are published for Beachcomber. The line gives them for Paradise and Islander, and they differ, so don’t borrow either ship’s figure.
Access Desk, (800) 374-4311, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Eastern. The line’s FAQ lists a separate Guest Access Team number, 1-800-814-7100.
Equipment and services need 45 days’ notice before sailing, pier assistance 30 days and ASL interpreting 90 days.
Mobility devices must be under 26 inches wide. Belize, Grand Cayman and Roatán are tender ports.
Ask for the exact accessible cabin, its door and bathroom details, and its distance from the elevators, in writing. Category pages can’t tell you that; the room record can.
Tell us the dates and who’s coming. We’ll check occupancy, beds and connecting options by room number before you put down a deposit.
Ask about a room number, a bed setup or a balcony size. A Seabound Journeys advisor will check it against the line’s deck plan.
A Seabound Journeys advisor checks your question against the line’s current prices for your date.
The line lists Cozy Interior at 161 to 175 sq ft, Breezy Balcony at 196 sq ft with a 40 sq ft balcony, Wake View Balcony at 183 to 193 sq ft with a 90 sq ft balcony, Grand Terrace Suite at 305 sq ft with a 67 sq ft balcony and Signature Grand Suite at 400 sq ft with an 88 sq ft balcony. Room and balcony areas are listed separately.
Cozy Interior, Picturesque Ocean View, St. Somewhere Premium Ocean View, Breezy Balcony and Signature Grand Suite list a maximum of four. The deck plan also names quad versions of Cozy Interior, Picturesque Ocean View and Breezy Balcony. Not every room in a category has the extra berths, so book by cabin number.
Partial Ocean View, Wake Ocean View, Wake View Balcony and Serene Junior Suite all list a maximum of two guests. The Grand Terrace Suite takes three.
That is what the line's page says, but it would make the balcony larger than the 230 to 240 sq ft suite itself and larger than the top suite's 88 sq ft balcony. It is probably an error. Confirm the balcony size for the exact cabin before paying extra for it.
Every suite listing: Serene Junior, Grand Terrace, Signature Grand and the two Bridge Wing Suites each carry a free suite-only dinner menu served in Fins and the Beachcomber dining room. No balcony or ocean-view category includes it. The Bridge Wings add terrace breakfast and dinner on request.
Only the eight Signature Grand Suites and the two Bridge Wing Suites list concierge lounge access. Junior Suites and Grand Terrace Suites get concierge services but no lounge.
The line has not published a size, terrace size, occupancy or price for either Bridge Wing Suite (cabins 9205 and 9206). It describes them as the largest suites in its fleet and lists terrace dining on request, a dedicated concierge, lounge access and a priority bridge tour.
Yes. Accessible rooms are listed in the Cozy Interior, Partial Ocean View and Breezy Balcony categories, with grab bars and raised toilet seats. Door widths are not published for Beachcomber. Call the Access Desk at (800) 374-4311 and ask about a specific cabin number.
Not in any category the line has published, since the largest maximum listed is four. Bridge Wing occupancy is unpublished. Book two cabins and ask for a connecting pair by room number.
A mini fridge is listed for Breezy Balcony and Wake View Balcony staterooms, and the Signature Grand Suite lists a mini bar. The Cozy Interior page does not list a fridge.
