Prince is first on 55, three points clear of Holiday Inn Express CBD2, and the lead depends on which berth you sail from. At 0.3 road miles from Ocean Terminal on our routing it clears our half-mile walk rule easily — but only if your ship docks at Ocean Terminal.
Kai Tak is the other case: 5.2 road miles and about 12 minutes — roughly HK$95 (about US$12) on the meter.
Its page lists direct access to the China Ferry Terminal. That's a ferry port, not the cruise terminal, and the two get mixed up.
The page notes the 3% Hotel Accommodation Tax, effective 1 January 2025. SAVVY is the one restaurant listed — teppanyaki, Korean barbecue and grills — and breakfast comes only with select packages and dining offers. Check-in is 15:00 and check-out 12:00 — per the hotel's FAQ, and the page puts Tsim Sha Tsui MTR 5 minutes on foot.
Read your cruise documents first. If they say Ocean Terminal, book it. If they say Kai Tak, start with Holiday Inn Express CBD2.
Book it if
- Your ship docks at Ocean Terminal and you'd like it a stroll away
- Korean barbecue or teppanyaki sounds like a last dinner
- You'd rather see the tax on the page than guess
Look elsewhere if
- Your ship is at Kai Tak — about 12 minutes off by taxi.
- You thought the China Ferry Terminal was the cruise terminal. It isn't.
- A pool or a gym has to be on the page.

Which terminal
Kai TakPrince sits in Harbour City — which holds Ocean Terminal, so the walk is real. Most turnarounds on Kai Tak's 2026-27 schedule leave from 33 Shing Fung Road instead, about 5.2 road miles away. Your documents name the terminal, and the Hong Kong cruise guide lists who uses which.

Prince against its neighbours
Before you book Prince Hotel, read the Hong Kong cruise guide, Hong Kong cruise parking and the splurge list, the terminal facts, not the marketing.
Wake up in Harbour City, a short walk from Ocean Terminal.
Send us your sail date, not a deposit, and we'll check Prince Hotel for the night before. The form takes no payment.
Prince, answered
Can I walk from Prince to Ocean Terminal?
By our rule, yes — both sit in the Harbour City complex per Harbour City's page, and our routing makes it about 0.3 road miles (0.5 km), 2 minutes by car, under our half-mile line. It only helps if your ship is at Ocean Terminal, so check your documents.
Does direct access to the China Ferry Terminal mean a cruise berth?
No — Prince's page lists direct access to the China Ferry Terminal, a ferry port. Ocean Terminal is the cruise terminal in Harbour City, with its own berths.
Is the 3% accommodation tax in Prince's price?
We can't tell — the page notes the 3% Hotel Accommodation Tax effective 1 January 2025, which matches the Inland Revenue Department, but it doesn't say whether the rate you see includes it, or the usual service charge.
What does Prince give you for breakfast?
Only a package or a dining offer: the page says breakfast comes with select room packages and dining offers. SAVVY, the restaurant listed, covers Asian dishes and grills.
How do I get from Hong Kong Airport to Prince?
The hotel's FAQ gives four ways: a limousine from HK$930 a vehicle, booked ahead; a taxi at about HK$350 to HK$420; the Airport Express to Kowloon Station and then a taxi; or Citybus A21 or A25. There's no shuttle. Our routing says 19.5 road miles, 30 minutes with no traffic.
Booking the cruise too?
Ocean Terminal or Kai Tak? Send your ship and date and we'll confirm the berth, then price Prince Hotel, the night, not the cruise. No obligation.
