The night-out answer

Come for the nights. Bring a book for the days.

Paradise is a music-and-bars ship with a theater attached — nightlife is her best category, the deck her weakest.

You get two production shows, a piano lounge, karaoke and comedy, a top-deck club and an adults-only pool bar.

No waterslide appears on the line’s Paradise pages, though kids 3 to 17 do get a club for every age.

Plan an evening

Three ways through a Paradise night, with rough times — the schedule changes by sailing.

Before dinner

Hemisphere Dancer

A craft cocktail in the piano lounge, where the Mile High is the house signature.

Showtime

Radio Margaritaville or Caribbean Heat

See one per night, and on a short trip you can catch both.

Late

Keys on the Water

Karaoke or comedy — whatever’s on the schedule.

Later

Hemisphere Nightclub

Top deck, DJs, done when you’re done.

07

Sea days, sun or rain

Short trips leave little time at sea, so here’s how to spend a day aboard either way.

Morning

Pickleball on the forward deck

A regulation court, added in 2023; go early before the heat.

Midday

License to Chill Pool, or the adults-only 12 Volt Pool

Cabanas run $399 on a 3-night trip, $499 on a 4-night — non-refundable, rain or shine.

Afternoon

Mixology Class at Hemisphere Dancer

$34.99, sea days only, limited spots.

Evening

Sun deck steel drums

Live music outside before the shows.

09

Kids and teens

Jolly Mon, ages 3 to 6, is the youngest club.

Parakeets, ages 7 to 12 on Paradise. The fleet kids page lists Parakeets at 6 to 9, then notes that Paradise has no separate tween club — so it stretches to 12 here.

The Teen’s Club, 13 to 17.

Nothing covers under-3s, though babies can sail from 6 months, and after-hours childcare is mentioned without details or a price. Clubs open on the schedule in the daily Cruise News.

The fee question

The kids page headline says “Free Supervised Kids Clubs,” yet the line’s FAQ lists “kids club fees” among onboard purchases. Daytime clubs read as free; ask us to confirm any after-hours charge for your sailing.

10

What to book before you sail

Wine tasting and Mixology Class are on the Paradise packages page, and Mixology runs on sea days only with limited spots, so book it ahead.

Cabanas are sold first-come and are non-refundable, rain or shine. On a 3-night trip, $399 is $133 a day for two seats — decide whether shade is worth it.

Spa treatments carry a 20% service charge on top of the menu price.

Shows and lounges carry no booking requirement on the line’s Paradise pages, so check the Cruise News for times on day one.

The January 28, 2027 concert is different

The Zac Brown Band concert in Nassau is a one-time event for guests of the three-ship gathering sailing, not part of regular Paradise entertainment. VIP packages cost extra.

Against ships we’ve already scored

Scores come from each ship’s Seabound entertainment guide; tap a name to read the page.

Paradise sits mid-pack in this group — a little ahead of MSC Armonia and Carnival Elation (both 4.8) and Carnival Paradise (4.6), and well behind MSC Seashore.

Islander, her fleetmate, scores 5.5: a bigger ship with a slide, mini golf and cornhole. If entertainment drives the booking, compare a larger ship before you settle.

12

Who her nights suit

Book her if

  • You want live music and a pool bar on a 2- to 4-night trip.
  • You like a late night: piano lounge, karaoke, a top-deck club.
  • You want an adults-only pool to retreat to.
  • Your kids are happy with clubs rather than slides.

Look elsewhere if

  • Your kids judge a ship by its waterslide.
  • You want a different production every night of five.
  • Big attractions — ropes courses, surf simulators — are the draw.
  • You need a published schedule before you sail.
