Two MICHELIN KeysMICHELIN · Forbes Five-Star · Forbes
The verdict

Mandarin Oriental is the top-rated hotel we looked at, by both guides. MICHELIN gives it Two Keys, 'an exceptional stay', and Forbes rates it Five-Star — 120 rooms on Passeig de Gràcia with Moments, which holds one MICHELIN star under Raül Balam, Carme Ruscalleda's son.

It's not a port hotel. Our routing puts the Moll Adossat about 3.4 road miles away, around 15 minutes on empty roads, and nobody publishes a ride to the ship.

Parking is the surprise. The hotel's own FAQ says self-parking is free for guests arriving by car, and MICHELIN lists valet as well. Free parking on Passeig de Gràcia is rare enough to confirm when you book.

Book it for the room and dinner at Moments. Ask the concierge to book your taxi, and get the free parking confirmed in writing.

Book it if

  • You want the highest-rated room in the city on both guides
  • Dinner at Moments is part of the plan
  • Your dog is coming — no extra charge, per MICHELIN

Look elsewhere if

  • You plan to leave the car for the whole cruise.
  • You want the ship close in the morning.
  • You'd rather not pay Two-Key rates for one night.
