The verdict

A Hyatt Place on Duval Road, eleventh. Breakfast is free, parking is free, and the shuttle runs to the airport and anywhere within three miles every half hour.

Hyatt is the only hotel here that says in writing it has no JAXPORT shuttle. It'll give you names of companies that do.

Honest, comfortable, and a cab away from the ship.

Book the cab the night before.

Book it if

  • Fly-in cruisers who want breakfast and a lobby bar
  • Anyone who wants a noon check-out
  • Pet owners

Look elsewhere if

  • You want the port ride from the hotel.
  • You want the car held for the cruise.

The port’s own lot

$17 a cruise night

JAXPORT’s own lot is next to the terminal building: $17 a day with Florida sales tax included, or $68 for a 4-day cruise. Oversized vehicles are $34 a day.

It takes credit cards only, and no new prepaid reservations since June 22, 2026, so you pay when you arrive. The lot opens at 7:15 AM, and a golf cart runs you and your bags to the door. Compare every parking option.

FAQ

Hyatt Place Airport FAQ

Does Hyatt Place Airport have a cruise shuttle?

Not that it publishes. Hyatt says it plainly: "Shuttle service to the Jacksonville Cruise Port/JAXPORT is not available through the hotel," though the desk will refer you to transportation companies.

Does Hyatt Place Airport have an airport shuttle?

Yes, from Jacksonville International. Free shuttle to and from the airport and anywhere within three miles, on a set schedule every 30 minutes.

Can I park at Hyatt Place Airport while I cruise?

The hotel doesn't say. Self-parking is complimentary; valet isn't offered. Hyatt says nothing about leaving the car for a cruise.

How far is Hyatt Place Airport from the JAXPORT cruise terminal?

Hyatt gives no distance to the port. It sits in our airport, I-95 & I-295 band.

Can I check in early or check out late on cruise days?

Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out 12:00 PM. The hotel doesn't publish early or late terms, so ask when you book, not on the day.

Will the hotel hold my bags?

The hotel doesn't say. Most hotels will hold bags between check-out and a late shuttle, but that's a call to make, not an assumption.

Does the port shuttle come back for me after the cruise?

There's no hotel shuttle to the port. JAXPORT's franchised taxi runs from the terminal to the airport on the meter, and the port puts JAX about 12 miles away.

What's the breakfast timing on sail morning?

Free, at The Breakfast Bar. Your terminal check-in window is in your cruise documents, and the port asks you not to arrive before it.

Can I park an oversized vehicle or charge an EV?

EV charging: not stated. Clearance and oversized parking aren't published. The port charges $34 a day for anything that takes up more than one space, in its fenced lot beside the terminal.
