Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport/I-95N
The only hotel in Jacksonville that publishes the whole deal: a Cruise Package with the night, the parking and the ride to the port and back. No price online, and breakfast is extra.
Pre-Cruise Hotels · JAXPORT
Twenty hotels for a JAXPORT cruise, scored on what gets you to the ship, not on reviews. Pick yours, and let the trip start the night before.
Three taps and we’ll show your best three hotels.
Change any answer and the picks change with it. They’re built from the same published facts as the ranking below. Nobody pays to be here.
Matching weighs your answers against each hotel’s published shuttle, parking, breakfast, pool, beach, kitchen and pet policies.
Five answers, and the page builds the whole thing: the hotel, the ride in, the ride to the ship, what happens to the car, what time to leave, and how you get home. Every figure is one the hotel, the port or the company publishes. Where nobody publishes a number, you’ll see that instead of a guess.
Who’s coming and the mood come from Your Match; the plan uses the same answers.
Partner links (transfers, rental cars, luggage storage) may earn Seabound Journeys a commission at no extra cost to you. They don't change the plan, which is built only from what each company publishes.
All three are by the airport. One sells the whole package, and two publish a $10 rate to leave the car.
Filter by what matters for your night. Save the ones you like, or tick up to three to compare side by side — the order is ours, the shortlist is yours.
Add your sail date and the links open on the night before.

All 20 hotels
The only hotel in Jacksonville that publishes the whole deal: a Cruise Package with the night, the parking and the ride to the port and back. No price online, and breakfast is extra.
Free breakfast, suites with kitchens, and a published $10 a day to leave the car once you check out. No port shuttle, and IHG can't decide whether it runs an airport one.
Free breakfast, a scheduled airport shuttle until midnight, and $10 a night to leave the car. The Park & Cruise package it still advertises ended in March.
Full kitchens in every suite, free breakfast and free parking, with long-term parking Marriott lists but doesn't price. Fourth, on a tiebreak.
Kitchens, free breakfast and Hilton's Park, Stay & Go for the car. Fifth, ten points clear of the full-service Hiltons down the road.
Free breakfast, free parking for the night, and Park, Stay & Go for the cruise. There's a flyer out there for a JAXPORT shuttle; Hilton's own pages don't back it up.
On the airport grounds with a 24-hour airport shuttle, a real restaurant and Park, Stay & Go. Hilton says the terminal is 10 miles off. Breakfast is paid.
A 24-hour airport shuttle, an on-site restaurant and Park, Stay & Go, next to River City Marketplace. Paid breakfast and no port distance keep it eighth.
The closest hotel to the terminal, by its own account, with free breakfast. IHG contradicts itself on cruise parking and says there's no shuttle, which is why it's ninth and not first.
Kitchens, free breakfast, free parking and an airport shuttle every half hour. Marriott says nothing about the car during the cruise, so it's tenth.
Free breakfast, a bar in the lobby and a shuttle to the airport and anywhere within three miles. Hyatt says in writing there's no JAXPORT shuttle, which we respect.
The best-scoring downtown option: kitchens, free breakfast and a restaurant in the building, a short walk from the Riverwalk. It's across the river from the ship, and nothing is said about the car.
Free breakfast and a 24-hour airport shuttle, 12 miles from "Jacksonville Seaport" by Hilton's count. No Park, Stay & Go here, unlike its Hilton neighbors.
Suites, free breakfast, free parking and noon check-out. Marriott's page says both that there's an airport shuttle and that there isn't.
Free breakfast, free airport transportation and suites, with very little else published. Fifteenth on what Choice says, which isn't much.
A light free breakfast and a pool, two miles from the airport. Wyndham publishes almost nothing else, including whether there's an airport shuttle.
Kitchens, free breakfast and a parking rate that turns free after a week, in Brooklyn by downtown. Nothing said about cruising, and no shuttle.
Free breakfast, free parking and a free airport shuttle for guests. No pool listed, no pets, and nothing about the cruise.
Free parking, free breakfast and a kitchen in every suite, across from the river in Brooklyn. No pool listed and no shuttle. Nineteenth.
Free breakfast and a pool a quarter mile from the Riverwalk. Parking is $15 a day, and there's nothing about the cruise. Twentieth.
No hotel on the list has all of those. Try dropping one filter.
Booking.com lists airport taxis you can book ahead. Check the pickup point, the price and the cancellation terms before you book.
Booking.com links are affiliate links: Seabound Journeys may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It doesn’t change what we recommend. Affiliate disclosure.
Pick how you’re arriving. The board counts what each hotel publishes, the table lights up that column, and the companies below run from the airport to the port.
Twelve of the twenty publish a free ride from Jacksonville International, and every one of them is by the airport. Three more contradict themselves about it. Downtown, nobody runs one.
Jacksonville International · 0–21 miles from these hotels, by their own counts
zTrip runs the airport taxis from the booths outside baggage claim on the lower level, and publishes no fares. Rome2Rio puts the ride to the cruise terminal at $28 to $35; JAXPORT puts the airport about 12 miles away.
Rideshare picks up on the lower arrival curb at Poles 1 and 2, and the airport adds a pickup fee it doesn't state. Uber has no JAX-to-JAXPORT route page; its generic airport-to-Jacksonville figure is about $52 for UberX.
Viator lists five Jacksonville port transfers; the cheapest airport-to-port ones start at $104 for the car, and a black car at $135. Prices are per group, not per person.
A local operator that runs cruise transfers from JAX; at the airport, go to the Pre Arranged Transportation Booth past the Delta baggage carousel. It publishes no fares.
The port's franchised taxi service runs cars and minivans from the cruise terminal to the airport. The port gives two phone numbers on different pages; 904-222-2222 matches the airport's taxi company.
Driving? The column to watch is “While you sail”. Compare hotel parking with the port’s own garages on JAXPORT parking, compared, or price it out in the parking math below.

These twenty are ranked for an easy sail morning, not for the room. Jacksonville’s nicest hotels aren’t near the terminal: the area’s only AAA Five Diamond is at Ponte Vedra Beach, and its only Forbes Four-Star is on Amelia Island. Not one of them publishes a ride to the ship, or a distance to it.
The terminal is at Dames Point, on the north bank of the St. Johns, and there’s almost nothing next to it. One hotel is. Fifteen of the twenty are by the airport and along I-95, where the hotels that give a number say 9 to 12 miles. Four are downtown, across the river, and none of those gives a distance at all.
No beach hotel made the twenty. The best-scoring one, the Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach, missed by a point, and the beaches are the far side of the county from the ship. The resorts at Ponte Vedra and Amelia Island are on the splurge list.
Numbers are the ranking. Each pin sits where the hotel is — the bands group them by distance, the way we score it.
Five things decide how easy the night before is, and each one is scored only from what the hotel publishes on its own site or its brand’s.
If a hotel doesn't say it, it scores zero there — not a guess, zero. Cruise blogs, tourism-board flyers and expired offers don't count, and when a hotel’s own pages contradict each other, we score the claim as unconfirmed and tell you. Each page lists exactly what we couldn't confirm.
By band: Blount Island and New Berlin Road 30, the airport, I-95 and I-295 25, downtown and the Southbank 20, the Southside 15, the beaches 10.
Hotel-run shuttle, free or with a published price, 25. A ride only inside a package or offer 20. The hotel’s own ride with no published fare 15. A partner shuttle 10.
Published rate to leave the car 20, including a rate that starts when you check out. Offered, price unpublished 14.
Sail mornings start early. A free breakfast on site scores 10.
On the beach 6, pool 3, food or a bar on site 3, a kitchen in the room 3.
Ties are broken in order: the lower published parking rate, any stated way to the ship, free breakfast, parking on site, the closer stated mileage, then the lower guest parking price. That’s why the TownePlace sits above the Home2, the DoubleTree above the Hilton Garden Inn, the Hampton Inn Airport above the SpringHill, and the Home2 Downtown above the Hampton Inn Downtown.
What's left out is deliberate. Room rates change daily, so they aren't scored. Neither are guest-review scores — they measure a stay in general, not a sail morning.
The ranking tells you which hotel makes the morning easiest. Your dates and your budget decide the rest, so price your own night before you book the winner.
Set your cruise length and how many people ride. The two hotels that publish a leave-the-car rate are priced out next to JAXPORT’s own lot at $17 a cruise night, tax included — and the port has no shuttle leg to add.
| #2 Holiday Inn Express Airport | — |
| #3 Fairfield Airport | — |
| JAXPORT’s lot, no hotel | — |
Parking and the ride only, at each hotel’s published rate before tax. Hotel parking counts your hotel night plus every cruise night; the Holiday Inn Express and the Fairfield only charge once you check out, so both totals run one night ($10) high. For the port, we count $17 for each cruise night, tax included, the way JAXPORT prices it ($68 for a 4-day cruise). The Crowne Plaza isn’t priced here: its Cruise Package bundles the parking, and its two pages disagree on extra days ($3 or $10). Hotels that sell parking only inside Park, Stay & Go or a package aren’t priced either. Neither priced hotel runs a port shuttle, so both read “+ ride”, and no row gets “Lowest”. Room rates aren’t included.
For the port’s lot and the off-site options, see JAXPORT parking, compared.
We checked 39 hotels. These came closest to the top twenty, with their scores and the reason each fell short.
| Hotel | Score | Why it missed |
|---|---|---|
| Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront | 32 | Oceanfront with free breakfast and a beach bar, one point out. It's on the beach at the far side of the county, parking is $18.95 a day, and Hilton says nothing about the cruise. |
| Courtyard Jacksonville Airport Northeast | 31 | An airport shuttle every 30 minutes and The Bistro, but breakfast isn't free. Marriott has a Park and Cruise offer page for this hotel that wouldn't show us its terms, so it scores nothing for parking. |
| WoodSpring Suites Jacksonville East 295 Cruise Port | 28 | Says it's 6 miles from JAXPORT, the closest stated distance we found after Blount Island, with kitchens and free parking. No breakfast, no pool listed and no shuttle of any kind. |
| Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront | 26 | A rooftop pool on the 19th floor and Morton's downstairs, but self-parking starts at $34, breakfast isn't free, and Hyatt publishes nothing about the port. |
| Marriott Jacksonville Downtown | 26 | The former Omni, with a rooftop pool; valet only at $36 overnight, paid breakfast, nothing about the cruise. |
| DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront | 26 | On the Southbank Riverwalk with a Ruth's Chris, $25 parking and no free breakfast. |
| Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Downtown Southbank | 26 | Shares a building and a restaurant with the Homewood, but its breakfast isn't free and there are no kitchens. |
| Red Roof Inn Jacksonville - Cruise Port | 25 | Named for the port, and its own page gives two distances to it: 4.82 miles and 9.4. No breakfast, no pool listed, no shuttle. |
| Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront | 25 | All suites with kitchenettes on the sand, but no free breakfast, $20 parking, and the beach is the far side of town from the ship. |
| Hilton Jacksonville at Mayo Clinic | 21 | AAA Four Diamond and brand new, the only rated hotel inside city limits. A business hotel on the medical campus, 26 miles from the airport. It's on our splurge list. |
Not ranked: Omni Jacksonville Hotel. Now the Marriott Jacksonville Downtown, since April 2022. It scored 26.; SpringHill Suites Jacksonville Airport. Renamed SpringHill Suites Jacksonville North I-95 Area, No. 14 here.; One Ocean Resort & Spa. Reopened as Dune House Hotel & Spa in March 2026; it’s on the splurge list.
Twelve of the twenty publish a free shuttle from Jacksonville International, and all of them are by the airport. Land, ride over, and let the hotel handle the evening. Only the Crowne Plaza publishes a ride on to the ship, and only inside its package.
Staying downtown instead? The downtown hotels put the airport 15 to 21 miles away and run no airport shuttle, so it’s a cab both nights. The Getting There table shows what every hotel publishes from JAX, and the planner turns your answers into a morning.

On our scoring it's Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport/I-95N, by the airport on Duval Road, and it wins by 10 points. It's the only hotel in Jacksonville that publishes a Cruise Package with the night, free parking and a round-trip ride to the port in one booking. It doesn't print the price, so call. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville Airport is second, with free breakfast and a published $10 a day to leave the car once you check out. Fairfield Airport is third, with $10 a night after checkout and a scheduled airport shuttle until midnight. Best on paper, not best for everyone: the matcher above weighs your own answers.
One. IHG calls the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Blount Island, on New Berlin Road, the closest hotel to the JAXPORT terminal, and it's ninth here. It would rank higher if its own pages agreed with themselves: one line mentions a Park & Cruise package and another says cruise parking isn't available. Everything else is by the airport, about 10 miles out by the hotels' counts, or downtown across the river.
As of September 25, 2026, one publishes it: the Crowne Plaza Airport's Cruise Package includes "roundtrip transportation to the port," with no price or times online. The Tru by Hilton Airport appears on an undated flyer with a one-way JAXPORT shuttle that Hilton's own pages don't mention. The Hyatt Place Airport says in writing that it doesn't run one. Everyone else is a cab, a rideshare or a booked car.
At some. The Holiday Inn Express Airport charges $10 a day once you check out, the Fairfield $10 a night after your check-out date, and the Crowne Plaza's Cruise Package includes the parking (its pages say extra days run $3 or $10). Five more offer it through Hilton's Park, Stay & Go or a long-term parking listing without a price. The Blount Island hotel contradicts itself, so ask. A daily rate for your stay isn't proof it covers your nights at sea.
Of our twenty, these publish a free ride from Jacksonville International: Crowne Plaza Airport, Fairfield Airport, TownePlace Suites Airport, Home2 Suites Airport, Tru by Hilton Airport, DoubleTree Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Airport, Residence Inn Airport, Hyatt Place Airport, Hampton Inn Airport, Comfort Suites Airport and Sleep Inn Airport. The Holiday Inn Express Airport, the Holiday Inn Express Blount Island and the SpringHill Suites each say yes on one page and no on another, so call. The downtown hotels list no airport ride at all.
Not by much, and sometimes not at all. JAXPORT's own lot is $17 a cruise night with tax included: $68 for a 4-day cruise. A $10-a-day hotel rate saves about $28 on that cruise, and a cab from the airport hotels to the terminal eats it, both ways. The hotel wins when the ride is included, which is the Crowne Plaza's whole pitch. Run your own numbers in the calculator above.
Carnival, year-round, on Carnival Elation, with four- and five-day Bahamas cruises. Norwegian sails seasonally from November to April; for November 2026 to March 2027 it's Norwegian Dawn, replacing Norwegian Gem, per the port. Both use the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal at 9810 August Drive.
Hotel rates move every day and spike on busy sailing days, so any number we printed would be wrong by the time you read it. We rank on what doesn't change daily — shuttles, parking policies, breakfast — and leave the live rate to the booking site for your exact date. Price it for your own night before you assume the No. 1 is the cheap one.
