Two Port lots, two different jobs
Québec City has two cruise terminals, and the Port runs the lots nearest both — one sells a cruise-length rate, the other is priced by the day.
The Port prints plain dollar signs. Read every price here as Canadian dollars, tax unstated.
Louise Basin long-term lot (Port of Québec)
- Bought in the mobile app only, per the Port's cruise page
- 155 rue Abraham-Martin, 325 spaces, open around the clock
- About a 15-minute walk to Terminal 84 and 12 minutes to Terminal 30, per the Port
- Whether tax is included isn't stated
Pointe-à-Carcy lot
- 84 rue Dalhousie, the same street address as Terminal 84; 218 spaces, open 24/7
- C$3.00 per 30 minutes for short stops, and C$166 a month, with a footnote attached
- A daily rate, not a cruise price. The Port prints no weekend rate for it, so a week here is a guess
The Port's lots: who runs them, and how you pay
The rates are printed. Who's behind the counter is less clear.
- Operator: the Port of Québec's parking page lists these as its own lots, paid at pay stations or through the Flowbird app, and names no outside operator. Other sources point elsewhere. Holland America sends passengers to Indigo Neo for parking at both terminals; Cruise Critic, in a December 2022 article, names Parkindigo. The City of Québec lists Indigo Parc Canada as operator of the Du Vieux-Port lot at 76 rue Dalhousie. We couldn't confirm whether that Indigo lot and the Port's lots are one business. Indigo's page for it, QU048 Terrasses du Vieux-Port, loaded empty for us, so we have no rate.
- Paying: no cash. Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Interac or the Flowbird app, per the Port. The 7- and 30-day cruise rates are app-only.
- Booking ahead: Cruise Critic said in 2022 you could book a space online in advance, and that some lots take only the Flowbird app. We didn't find a reservation option on the Port's own pages.
- Other Port lots: Saint-André (80 Quai Saint-André, 85 spaces) is C$18 for 24 hours on weekdays. Bassin Brown (615 boulevard Champlain) is C$12 at most per 12 hours. De l'Écluse and La Jetée are off-limits 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, so skip them for a cruise. Louise Basin also takes RVs at C$75 per 24 hours.
- Dropping off: Terminal 84's drop-off area gives you the first 10 minutes free, then $6 an hour, per the Port.
- Not stated: whether any rate includes tax, and whether any lot runs a shuttle. For Terminal 30, the Port says a shuttle serves passengers and crew, and Cruise Critic's 2022 article says its passengers can park in the Old City and ride a free shuttle. Ask before you count on it.

Other options: the airport, a taxi, or no car
We didn't find a published long-term rate at Québec City's airport, YQB, so we don't list one.
For most people flying in, a taxi does the job.
- Taxi from YQB: the Port lists a fixed $41.40 between its docks and the airport, subject to change. That's the daytime fare; the airport posts a separate, higher night rate from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. The tourism office's cruise planner says around $45 by day and $50 at night; Holland America says about C$40. None says whether tax is in. Two daytime rides at the Port's rate come to about the price of a week at Louise Basin.
- Uber and Lyft pick up at YQB through their apps, per the airport.
- City lots: the City of Québec lists Indigo-run lots on rue Dalhousie (Du Vieux-Port at 76, De la Promenade at 125) and at the corner of ruelle des Bains and rue Saint-Paul, plus city-run lots at Gare du Palais. The list gives no rates and sends you to each operator. None offered a cruise rate we could find.

Hotels that hold the car
We checked 43 hotels in the Old Port, Old Québec, the suburbs and by YQB, one by one, on their own sites. No Old Port or Old Québec hotel prints a rate to leave the car while you cruise. By the airport, the Comfort Inn Ancienne-Lorette prices park-and-fly parking at C$70 for 7 days or C$150 for 14, and Hôtel MUST and the Québec Inn sell a Stay, Park and Fly package from C$78 a person; none of those pages mentions cruises, and the packaged ride goes to the airport, not the port.
The 20 best hotels for a Québec City cruise scores every one, and prices the Port’s Louise Basin passes for your cruise length.
The top six, by our ranking
The walk or ride to the ship, free breakfast and distance decide the order. Tap one for the full review, or hold a room for the night before.
Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Driving in, cruise returns to Québec | Louise Basin, 7-day rate | C$84 for the week, known before you leave home. A 12- to 15-minute walk to either terminal. |
| Driving in, cruise ends somewhere else | Probably no parking at all | Most 2026 sailings end in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Work out how you'll get back to the car before you buy a week. |
| Gone more than a week | Louise Basin, 30-day rate | C$165 covers up to 30 days, per the Port. |
| Someone's dropping you off | Terminal 84's drop-off area | First 10 minutes free, then $6 an hour. |
| Flying into YQB | A taxi, not a car | $41.40 fixed to the docks by day, per the Port; more from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Other sources say $40 to $50. |
| Driving an RV | Louise Basin RV parking | C$75 per 24 hours, per the Port. No weekly RV rate is printed. |
| Budgeting in U.S. dollars | Either — but convert carefully | Every figure here is Canadian dollars. Check the day's exchange rate. |

Parking FAQ
Is there official parking at the Québec City cruise terminal?
Yes. The Port of Québec sells long-term cruise parking at its Louise Basin lot, 155 rue Abraham-Martin: C$84 for 7 days or C$165 for 30 days, bought in its mobile app only. The Port says the lot is a 15-minute walk from Terminal 84 and 12 minutes from Terminal 30. Its Pointe-à-Carcy lot, at the same street address as Terminal 84, charges C$18 for 24 hours on weekdays at the pay station.
How much does cruise parking cost in Québec City?
C$84 for 7 days or C$165 for 30 days at the Port's Louise Basin lot, per the Port, bought in its app. The Port prints plain dollar signs, which we read as Canadian dollars on a Canadian port's site, and doesn't say whether tax is included. We didn't find a published cruise rate from any other lot.
Who runs the parking at the Port of Québec — the Port or Indigo?
The sources disagree. The Port's parking page lists its own lots, paid at pay stations or through the Flowbird app, and names no outside operator. Holland America points passengers to Indigo Neo for both terminals, Cruise Critic names Parkindigo, and the City of Québec lists Indigo as operator of the Du Vieux-Port lot at 76 rue Dalhousie. We couldn't get a rate for that Indigo lot.
Does parking make sense on a one-way Québec City cruise?
Only if you're coming back to Québec. Most 2026 sailings from here end in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale or Miami, so a car left in Québec means a trip back to fetch it. Ask your line whether your sailing returns here before you pay for a week.
Do I need a car, or can I take a taxi from the airport?
Most people flying in don't need one. The Port lists a fixed $41.40 taxi fare between its docks and Jean Lesage airport (YQB), subject to change — a daytime fare, since the airport posts a separate, higher night rate from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. The tourism office's cruise page says around $45 by day and $50 at night, and Holland America says about C$40. Uber and Lyft also pick up at YQB.
