Three official lots, one per line
Port Parking prints one price per stay, not per day. These are its figures for a typical week, read October 3, 2026. Ostseekai and the airport lot have a ladder by length; Ostuferhafen has two prices only.
Ostseekai car park
- At the terminal: Port Parking gives the walk as 0 km
- That’s TUI Cruises’ price; AIDA guests get Ostseekai spaces only through AIDA
- €114.00 (about US$130) for 2 nights and 3 days, €134.00 (about US$150) for 3 nights; €174 covers 4 nights to 7–8 days, then €194.00 (about US$220) for 8–11 nights, €225.00 (about US$255) for 12–13 and €235.00 (about US$265) for 15 nights or more (check the band for 14 nights on Port Parking’s table)
Ostuferhafen, berth 1
- A 1–2 minute walk to the terminal
- For MSC Cruises and Costa Crociere passengers, per Port Parking
- €175.00 (about US$195) for 14–15 days. Those are the only two prices Port Parking publishes for this lot; for any other length, ask before you plan around it
Shuttle car park, Airport Kiel
- Allow about 15 minutes each way on the free shuttle, per Port Parking; the lot is 6.4 road miles from Ostseekai by our routing
- Free shuttle for you and your bags, regularly from 10:20 am
- €180 (about US$200) for 14–15 days, €200.00 (about US$225) for 15 nights or more
Port Parking’s rules and fine print
From Port Parking’s own site and FAQ — the port’s parking arm, not a reseller.
- Bookings can only be made online; pay by Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or SEPA, not cash
- Spaces are 5 m long, so a car with a bike rack must not be longer than 5 metres; no height limit is stated
- Coming back, the airport-lot shuttle runs from 30 minutes after the ship docks, 7 am at the earliest, until 11 am
- Ostseekai has short-stay spaces for dropping off guests and bags; register with the staff at the entrance
- Questions go to portparking@portofkiel.com
Sources: portparking.de (English home page, the car-park distance, shuttle and short-stay FAQs), read October 3, 2026. Part of the price ladder came to us through a summarizing fetch, so check the exact band for your dates when you book. Port Parking doesn’t say whether its prices include VAT.
The private operator, the line’s own service, and the city
Parken & Meer is a private operator serving Ostseekai, the ferry quays and Ostuferhafen, and MSC names it as its parking partner. It advertises outdoor shuttle parking from €39 (about US$45) and valet from €89 (about US$100). Indoors, it’s €89 by shuttle or €139 (about US$155) by valet — and it never says how many days those “from” prices cover. MSC’s US page lists its shuttle parking at €129 for 8–9 days — the more useful figure for a week.
AIDA sells its own Parkservice inside myAIDA — under upgrades to your booking. It’s limited, for cars only, with shuttle or valet, and AIDA’s page doesn’t print a price. Port Parking’s own table points the same way: its Ostseekai column for AIDA says pricing and booking are “available at AIDA only”.
For the ferry quays, Port Parking points drivers to the Fördeparkhaus or a Q-Park nearby. We didn’t find a published cruise-week rate for either, and neither is by a cruise terminal, so we wouldn’t plan a week around them. Book a cruise lot instead.
Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sailing TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff) | Port Parking at Ostseekai | The lot is at the terminal, and €174 is TUI guests’ price for 7–8 days. |
| Sailing AIDA | The Airport Kiel shuttle lot, or AIDA’s Parkservice | The airport lot is the only Kiel parking you can price for AIDA: €129 for 7–8 days, with a 15-minute free shuttle. AIDA’s own Ostseekai spaces are limited and unpriced; ask AIDA when you book. |
| Sailing MSC or Costa | Port Parking at Ostuferhafen | €149 for 7–8 days, a minute or two from the ship; Parken & Meer is MSC’s named alternative. |
| On a ship that only calls here | No parking needed | You’re visiting for the day; this page is for starting a cruise. |
| No car, staying the night before | Walk or ride | Ostseekai is about 15 minutes on foot from Kiel Hbf, per AIDA; Ostuferhafen is MSC’s shuttle, bus 11 or a taxi. |
Staying the night before? Of the seventeen hotels we ranked, one sells parking for the whole cruise on its own site. Others print a daily rate or turn up in resellers’ packages — confirm those with the hotel. What five of them publish, or have published for them:
| Hotel | Parking offer | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Kieler Kaufmann | Park, Sleep & Cruise from €299 (about US$335) for two, €229 (about US$255) single | On the hotel's own site: a night, breakfast and free parking at the hotel for the length of the trip. |
| ATLANTIC Hotel | €22.00 (about US$25) a day for hotel guests | Its garage or the ZOB car park; the hotel doesn't say the rate runs while you cruise. |
| Berliner Hof | 1 night plus 8 days’ parking from €225.00 | A package Holiday Extras, a reseller, lists; the hotel’s own site doesn’t mention it. |
| Golden Tulip Kiel | 1 night plus 8 days’ parking from €249.50 (about US$280) | Also a Holiday Extras package, with taxis to and from the port; confirm with the hotel. |
| Kieler Yacht-Club | €20 (about US$20) a night while you cruise, up to 14 days | Listed by kurzurlaub.de, a reseller; the hotel itself only says a few spaces are available on request, for a fee. |
Prices as printed on October 3–4, 2026. Leaving the car at home instead? The Kielius bus runs from Hamburg Airport to Kiel ZOB for €26 (about US$30) online; see Hamburg Airport to the ship, or the splurge list for a grander night.

Parking FAQ
Where do I park for a cruise from Kiel?
At the Port of Kiel's own Port Parking — and the lot depends on your line. Port Parking sells the Ostseekai terminal lot to TUI Cruises guests and the Ostuferhafen lot to MSC and Costa. AIDA guests book Ostseekai spaces through AIDA, or take Port Parking's shuttle car park at Airport Kiel, a 15-minute free shuttle from the ship by Port Parking's reckoning.
How much is cruise parking in Kiel?
Port Parking's prices, read October 3, 2026: €174 for 7–8 days at Ostseekai and €149 for 7–8 days at Ostuferhafen. The AIDA airport lot starts at €110 for 2–4 nights and is €129 for 7–8 days. Ostseekai has more bands (see the first section), and the airport lot is priced by length too. Ostuferhafen has just two published prices, so for any other length ask Port Parking before you plan around it.
Can AIDA guests park at Ostseekai?
Yes, but only through AIDA. Port Parking's price table has an Ostseekai column for AIDA Cruises that says pricing and booking are "available at AIDA only". AIDA's Parkservice, sold in myAIDA, is limited and unpriced on AIDA's page. The other choice is Port Parking's shuttle car park at Airport Kiel, with a free shuttle from 10:20 am.
Can I pay for Kiel cruise parking on arrival?
No. Port Parking says bookings can only be made online, and it takes Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and SEPA — no cash.
Is there a size limit for Port Parking?
Length, yes. The spaces are 5 m long, so the car with any bike rack mustn't be longer than 5 metres, per Port Parking. It states no height limit.
Is there a private option beside the port's lots?
There is a private option. Parken & Meer, MSC's named partner, lists shuttle parking at €129 for 8–9 days on MSC's page; its own site shows "from" prices of €39 outdoors and €89 valet without a day count. Port Parking's Ostuferhafen lot is €149 for 7–8 days.
