Three systems, side by side
Manhattan and Brooklyn are both New York City facilities run by the same operator; Cape Liberty is a different state entirely, run by Royal Caribbean Group itself. None of the three numbers below applies to either of the other two.
Manhattan Cruise Terminal
- Confirmed directly on NYCEDC's own site — dated "effective April 1, 2023" Review periodically
- No SUV upcharge; credit cards only
- 8'3" height limit; two named nearby alternative garages (iPark, Enterprise 57 Parking LLC)
Brooklyn Cruise Terminal
- Confirmed directly on NYCEDC's own site — also dated "effective April 1, 2023" Review periodically
- No SUV upcharge; cash and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex)
- Outdoor lot with security; dedicated RV/bus spaces near the Security Main gate
Cape Liberty Cruise Port
- $35/day including taxes per Royal Caribbean's own FAQ; $30/day per Celebrity’s own FAQ — the two lines’ own pages disagree Review periodically
- 7'4" garage height limit, open lot nearby for taller vehicles; oversized vehicles pay double
- Off-site valet operator (Park2Go) nearby with a complimentary shuttle
Official parking, terminal by terminal
This is the first port hub on Seabound with three entirely separate official parking systems on one page — read Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Cape Liberty as three separate answers, not one blended rate.
Manhattan Cruise Terminal
- Rate: $45.00/night (up to 24 hours), confirmed directly on NYCEDC's own site — the page dates this rate "effective April 1, 2023," which is worth treating with some caution given the time since.
- Payment: credit cards only, per NYCEDC’s own Manhattan page (rechecked September 27, 2026). Brooklyn’s lot takes cash as well.
- No SUV upcharge; 8'3" height limit; lot opens 8 a.m., checkout by 3 p.m., per NYCEDC's own site.
- Nearby alternatives named (not independently rated): iPark, Enterprise 57 Parking LLC.

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal
- Rate: $45.00/night (up to 24 hours), confirmed directly on NYCEDC's own site — also dated "effective April 1, 2023."
- Payment: cash and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express); taxes included.
- No SUV upcharge; outdoor lot with security, overlooking the Statue of Liberty; RVs, buses, and larger vehicles get dedicated spaces near the Security Main gate.
- Reservations: optional — can be booked online or arranged on arrival, per NYCEDC's own site.

Cape Liberty Cruise Port
- Rate: $35 per day including all taxes, per Royal Caribbean's own FAQ page. Celebrity’s own FAQ (and thepointsguy.com) instead cites $30 per day for the same lot — disclosed as a conflict between two official and a third-party source, not resolved.
- Payment: cash and major credit cards, per Royal Caribbean's own FAQ; no reservations necessary, with parking guaranteed.
- Height limit: 7'4" in the garage, with an open lot adjacent for taller vehicles; oversized vehicles (campers, RVs) that take multiple spaces are charged double the standard rate.

Off-site alternatives
Manhattan and Cape Liberty each have a named alternative; we haven't vetted one for Brooklyn.
- Near Manhattan — iPark and Enterprise 57 Parking LLC — both named directly on NYCEDC's own Manhattan Terminal directions-and-parking page as nearby alternatives. We couldn't confirm either one's rate, address or shuttle details; NYCEDC's own page doesn't elaborate beyond naming them. Review periodically
- Near Cape Liberty — Park2Go — a cruise-industry outlet (thepointsguy.com) describes an indoor valet garage at $20/day and an outdoor valet lot at $18/day, both cheaper than the on-site $35/day (or $30/day) rate. A complimentary shuttle runs every 30-45 minutes from 6 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily, with advance reservations required. Not confirmed on the operator's own site.

None of these three alternatives was reached directly, and standalone off-site parking companies advertise for New York-area cruise terminals through booking-aggregator sites — we don't name aggregator listings at any port, so none of those is named here. Get a direct quote and confirm current rates before you commit to any of the above.
Hotels that hold the car
We’ve since checked 57 hotels one by one, on their own sites, and only one prints a rate to leave your car while you sail: the TWA Hotel at JFK, valet only, $80 a night for the first two nights and $60 after, sold as airport parking. None of the Manhattan or Brooklyn hotels we checked offers it.
By Newark Airport, a drive from Cape Liberty, more hotels sell parking with the room at prices they don’t publish. The SpringHill Suites says “Park at our hotel and set sail from nearby Cape Liberty Cruise Port,” and the Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth sells a Park & Cruise Package with 8 nights of parking. For comparison, Manhattan and Brooklyn charge $45 a night and Cape Liberty $35 a day. The 20 best hotels for the night before scores every one and prices the parking for your cruise length.

Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sailing Norwegian or Carnival from Manhattan | The official NYCEDC lot at Manhattan Cruise Terminal | $45/night at the terminal itself, no shuttle needed. |
| Sailing Cunard, Princess, MSC or Virgin Voyages from Brooklyn | The official NYCEDC lot at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal | Same $45/night rate, on-site, with dedicated oversized-vehicle spaces if needed. |
| Sailing Royal Caribbean or Celebrity from Cape Liberty | The on-site garage, or Park2Go if you want a lower rate | $35/day per Royal Caribbean (or $30/day per Celebrity) on-site with no reservation needed; Park2Go runs $18-20/day with a shuttle if you'd rather book ahead. |
| Sailing from Cape Liberty and staying the night before | A Newark Airport hotel with a parking package | The SpringHill Suites names Cape Liberty and the Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth sells a Park & Cruise Package; neither prints a price, so ask. See the twenty. |
| Driving an RV, camper, or other oversized vehicle | Brooklyn, if you have a choice of terminal | Brooklyn parks RVs, buses and larger vehicles on its main level; Manhattan has an 8'3" height limit, and Cape Liberty’s garage is 7'4" and doubles the rate for oversized vehicles. |
| Want a lower rate and don't mind a shuttle | Park2Go, if sailing from Cape Liberty | $18-20/day versus $30-35/day on-site — the only genuine off-site discount option confirmed across the three terminals. |

Parking FAQ
How much does official parking cost at the New York cruise terminals?
Manhattan and Brooklyn share the same official rate: $45/night (up to 24 hours), confirmed identically on both terminals' own NYCEDC pages — though both pages date that rate to April 2023, so treat it as the best available figure rather than a guarantee. Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ is a separate, Royal-Caribbean-run system: $35/day including taxes per Royal Caribbean's own FAQ page, while Celebrity's own FAQ says $30/day for the same lot — a conflict between the two lines' own pages, disclosed rather than resolved.
Is parking the same at Manhattan and Brooklyn cruise terminals?
Nearly identical on paper — both charge $45/night, both take major credit cards (Brooklyn takes cash too; Manhattan is card-only), and neither adds an SUV surcharge, all confirmed directly on each terminal's own NYCEDC page. Manhattan states an 8'3" height limit; Brooklyn's own page doesn't repeat a height limit but does note dedicated RV and bus spaces near its Security Main gate. They're still two separate lots at two separate terminals, so parking at one does nothing for a sailing from the other.
How is Cape Liberty's parking different from Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Cape Liberty, in Bayonne, New Jersey, isn't run by NYCEDC at all — it's Royal Caribbean Group's own facility. Its on-site garage has a 7'4" height limit (with an open lot nearby for taller vehicles) and charges oversized vehicles like campers and RVs double the standard rate, per Royal Caribbean's own FAQ page. The rate itself is disputed: $35/day on Royal Caribbean's own site versus $30/day on Celebrity's own FAQ for the same lot.
Are there off-site parking alternatives near any of the three terminals?
Manhattan's own NYCEDC page names two nearby alternative garages — iPark and Enterprise 57 Parking LLC — and we couldn't confirm a rate for either. Near Cape Liberty, a cruise-industry outlet (thepointsguy.com) describes Park2Go, an off-site valet operator with both an indoor garage ($20/day) and an outdoor lot ($18/day), running a complimentary shuttle every 30-45 minutes from 6 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily, with advance reservations required. We haven't vetted an off-site alternative for Brooklyn.
Can I use the same parking whether I'm sailing from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Cape Liberty?
No. All three are separate facilities — Manhattan and Brooklyn are both in New York City but are two different piers with two different lots, and Cape Liberty is in an entirely different state, run by a different operator (Royal Caribbean Group rather than NYCEDC). Confirm which terminal your cruise line actually uses before you drive anywhere or book a parking reservation.
