What kind of splurge is it?

We looked for the nicest places to stay near the port, not the most practical. That’s what our top 20 is for. Tap the night you’re after and the pick lights up.

The honest part: AAA’s 2026 Four Diamond list has nothing in Cocoa Beach or Cape Canaveral, and none of Forbes Travel Guide’s 2026 Florida winners is in the county. So this list is the best the Space Coast has, not a list of luxury hotels.

Splurge the night, plan the morning

Not one of these five publishes a cruise shuttle or a cruise-parking rate. That’s the price of the nicer night.

The Cocoa Beach picks that give a distance put the port 4.5 to 6 miles away, so a taxi or rideshare is short. Or drive yourself and park in the port’s garage at $20 a day plus tax, counting arrival and departure day.

Want a resort feel with the ride handled? Radisson Resort at the Port has a waterfall pool, a restaurant and a tiki bar, runs its own shuttle, and ranks fifth in our top 20.

Also Considered

Four that didn’t make the five

HotelWhy it isn’t in the five
Hilton Melbourne Beach OceanfrontFull-service Hilton on the ocean with a grille and two bars, rated AAA Three Diamond. Hilton lists the port 20 miles away, more than three times as far as Hilton Cocoa Beach for a similar night.
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach OceanfrontEvery room is a suite with a balcony or patio, rated AAA Three Diamond. Hilton lists the port 21 miles away.
Crowne Plaza Melbourne-OceanfrontRated AAA Three Diamond, and its suites are oceanfront with balconies. It charges a resort fee its pages don't price, and it doesn't state a distance to the port.
SeaGlass Inn Bed & BreakfastThe county's other AAA Four Diamond inn, also in Melbourne Beach. It sits on the Indian River Lagoon side, about half a mile from the beach, so Port d'Hiver gets the nod for an ocean night.
Coming 2027

The one to watch

Under construction

Westin Cocoa Beach Resort & Spa

A 502-room Westin is rising where the International Palms Resort stood, at 1300 North Atlantic Avenue. The south tower has topped out, and the most recent report has it "targeting a second-quarter 2027 opening." When it opens, it will likely be the nicest stay near the port. Until then, International Palms still turns up on some booking sites; it's been torn down.
