Westgate calls this Cocoa Beach's most luxurious resort. What it really is, is the best family splurge: two-bedroom villas with full kitchens, a lazy river and direct beach access, 4.5 miles from the port.
There's no restaurant beyond a tiki bar and cafe, and no port transport. Its own pages contradict each other on the resort fee, pets and balconies, so call and pin those down before you book.
Book it if
- Families who want two bedrooms and a kitchen
- Kids who'd rather do the lazy river than sit in a lobby
- Groups of up to six, or twelve in the four-bedroom layout
Look elsewhere if
- You want a proper restaurant on site.
- You need a shuttle to the port.
- You're under 21 and checking in.
What you’re paying for, and what you’re not
A splurge is worth it when you know exactly what the extra money buys. Green is on offer, gold comes with a cost or a catch, and grey isn’t there.
Your night before, from here
From check-in to the gangway, using only what Westgate Cocoa Beach publishes.
A heated pool, a 335-foot lazy river, a splash pad, a hot tub and the Makua Lanai adults' zone with a fire pit and pool bar. The Aloha Tiki Bar & Cafe does burgers, wraps and cocktails, and a free trolley runs to the restaurants on the Cocoa Beach Pier.
Westgate says it plainly: "We currently don't offer transportation to the port." Its free trolley only runs to the Cocoa Beach Pier. A taxi or rideshare covers the trip.
No breakfast service is listed. Every villa has a full kitchen.
Westgate lists Port Canaveral 4.5 miles away. Your cruise line’s documents name your terminal and check-in window.
Parking is free for one car per two-bedroom villa. Westgate doesn't say whether it can stay while you cruise.
Getting here, and on to the ship
Pick where you’re coming from. Solid lines are rides the hotel or its partner publishes; a question mark is a leg you’ll arrange yourself. At a splurge hotel, that’s usually the morning ride.
