Hyatt House drops to No. 2 by a single point, and it's still the one we'd hand a family. It runs its own shuttle to both piers at the top of every hour from 9 AM to 1 PM, $12 a person with your luggage, and breakfast is free — eggs, sausage and waffles from 6:30 on weekdays.
Every suite has a full kitchen, the Space Needle is across Fifth Avenue North, and Pier 91 is about 2.8 miles by road on our estimate — about 12 minutes on empty roads, not a crawl across town.
What it doesn't do is park your car for the cruise. The $45 a night buys the garage for your stay, and Hyatt says nothing past that. Check-in age is 21.
Book the 9 or 10 AM shuttle at the desk, and leave the car at the terminal lot, not here.
Book it if
- Families who want a kitchen and breakfast
- Pier 91 cruisers who want a ride
- Anyone who wants the Space Needle the night before
Look elsewhere if
- You're under 21.
- You want a pool.
- You need to leave the car.

Hyatt puts Pier 66 0.63 miles away and gives no distance to Pier 91. The hotel is across the street from the Space Needle at Seattle Center. Our road estimate is about 0.7 miles to Pier 66 and 2.8 miles to Pier 91 — empty-road figures, so pad them for traffic. Allow more than our estimate of 12 minutes from Hyatt House to Pier 91 — that figure assumes empty roads.
On-site parking is $45 a night plus tax, and off-site $20. Hyatt doesn't say whether you can leave the car while you cruise.
Night-Before Score: 61 of 100
Hyatt House earns 20 for where it sits, 25 for the ride and 0 for parking. It scores nothing for parking while you sail — Hyatt House doesn’t publish it, so that’s a zero, not a guess. Here’s how the Night-Before Score works.
