Arakur is the treat, not the convenient pick. More than 300 m² of pools, hot tubs, a spa, a Technogym gym, La Cravia restaurant and two bars, inside the Cerro Alarkén reserve.
It ranks eighth because of distance and silence — Arakur says the port is about 12 minutes away, and its pages don’t say whether breakfast is included or when you check in.
Ask about the spa prices too — the hotel says services are priced on request.
Book it if
- You want the last night ashore to feel like part of the trip

By our map estimate Arakur is about 7 km from Ushuaia Airport in a straight line, and about 3.8 km from the pier gate. Every question mark below is a ride you book yourself.

From USH without a hotel shuttle
There’s no public transport from the airport to town, per Turismo Ushuaia: you take a taxi (metered), a remis (a fixed fare booked by phone) or a transfer. Neither publishes a fare. Some expedition lines include the airport transfer (Quark does airport to hotel), so check your documents. The only price we found is for one hotel van. The airport page has what is and isn’t published.

Which quay
the pier gateMeasured to the pier gate on Av. Maipú, opposite Lasserre street, Arakur is about 3.8 km away in a straight line. Oceanwide says Ushuaia has only one pier and you show your boarding pass to get on it. CNN Español describes the terminal’s pier as 550 m long and shared with commercial, fishing and scientific vessels — where your ship berths is for your line to confirm. Lines such as Quark bus you from a meeting point near the pier. The Ushuaia cruise guide has the rest.
