Elizabeth Unique is the breakfast pick, not the close one. It's the only hotel in our twenty whose brand lists a free breakfast, a "Free Buffet Breakfast" per Marriott, in a 17th-century palazzo on the Fondamenta Cannaregio, about 1.2 miles on foot from Marittima by our routing.
That walk runs through Piazzale Roma, about 0.7 miles away, and over bridges. With big bags, plan on a water taxi or a slow push.
Marriott prints the breakfast hours as 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, which looks like a typo; check them. There's no parking, and pets cost €150 (about US$170) a stay.
Book it for a canal-side night with breakfast covered, and leave the car on the mainland.
Book it if
- Breakfast in the rate matters to you
- You want a palazzo night on the Cannaregio canal
- You'll take a water taxi to the ship
Look elsewhere if
- You're driving — there's no parking.
- You need the ship close on foot with heavy bags.
- Your dog is big — the limit is 12 kg.
