Atlas Ocean Voyages: the bar tab is in, the flight is not
Atlas sells “luxe-adventure” on yachts of fewer than 200 guests — Antarctica in the austral summer, then Svalbard, Greenland and the Mediterranean. The inclusions list has changed since launch, so we checked every line of it against Atlas’s own pages.
Atlas is the line for travelers who want a luxury bar and a short Antarctic trip without a big ship. Drinks, the minibar, onboard gratuities and a charter flight to Ushuaia are in the fare, and the ships carry fewer than 200 guests.
Two things have moved since Atlas launched. Round-trip air is now an offer, not a standing inclusion, and Wi-Fi no longer appears on the Always Included list. World Voyager also spends its winters on charter to Quark from November 2026, so Atlas sells Antarctica on two ships, not three.
Book it for the ease and the bar. Check the flight and the cover before you compare it with anyone.
Yachts, not ships, by Atlas’s own vocabulary
Atlas Ocean Voyages is a brand of Mystic Cruises, a Portuguese company, and its three current yachts were built at the West Sea yard in Viana do Castelo. World Navigator opened the line on August 4, 2021, with a Mediterranean voyage.
Atlas calls itself a “luxe-adventure” brand, and the phrase is a fair summary. Half the calendar is polar — Antarctica in the austral summer, the Arctic from June to September. The other half is food and wine in Europe.
The ships are registered in Portugal. Atlas’s site carries the marks of IAATO and AECO, the Antarctic and Arctic operators’ associations.
Polar, Epicurean, Cultural: three voyage types, one set of hulls.
Atlas groups its voyages under those three names. Polar means Antarctica and the Arctic. Epicurean means the Mediterranean and Iberia, with a Josper grill and, on some voyages, guest chefs. Cultural means Northern Europe, the British Isles and a few Caribbean weeks.
Nearly 30% of guests come back — Atlas’s figure, from August 2026. Read the fleet guide for what each yacht carries, then pick the voyage type first.
What Atlas puts in every fare
Bold means it’s in the fare. Every row comes from Atlas’s own pages, read on November 1, 2026.

The list is generous where it counts on a long sea day. Drinks, the minibar and tips for the onboard team never reach your bill, and government taxes are already inside the fares Atlas shows — $605 a guest on the polar voyages we priced.
The Antarctic package goes further — it covers the leg that’s hardest to book yourself. Atlas flies you from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, or from Punta Arenas to King George Island, on a private charter, and puts you in a hotel the night before.
The gaps are the ones you’d book anyway. Your flight to South America or Reykjavík is yours to buy, kayaking is extra, and Atlas doesn’t publish what its included cover pays out.
Read the inclusion line on your exact voyage page before you compare. The charter and the hotel night change by itinerary.
Luxe-adventure, then and now
“All Inclusive All the Way”
In July 2020 Atlas bundled economy air from 16 North American gateways, Houston and Orlando among them, and called it a permanent change. In January 2021 it added a shore excursion at every port. Wi-Fi, gratuities, drinks and a polar parka were on the list too.
Always Included, plus a choice
Air and shore excursions aren’t included unless a voyage says so. You get an Atlas Immersive Experience, on board or ashore. Through December 31, 2026, Explorer’s Choice lets you take one perk: an air credit, a hotel or land package, or enhanced unlimited Wi-Fi.
If you read about Atlas in 2021, you read about that package. That’s why the fare can look higher than a reader expects — the flight is no longer inside it.
Through December 31, 2026, the Explorer’s Choice air credit runs $2,000 per suite on Antarctica and South America voyages and $1,500 on the Arctic. Journey, Discovery and Navigator suites get two choices.
The terms vary between versions of the offer — the polar terms we read say $2,000 in one place and up to $3,000 for a “Double Air Credit” in the fine print. Get the figure for your voyage in writing.
Treat Explorer’s Choice, valid through December 31, 2026, as a sale, not a standing term. Atlas’s fine print says offers and inclusions can change or be withdrawn without notice, and it has run several in 2026 alone.
Ask us which perk is live on your date, then price the flight both ways.
The Atlas year, month by month
Dark cells are the core of each region’s season. Pale cells are edge months or single departures.
Where the yachts are
Built from Atlas’s destination, ship and voyage pages for 2026 to 2029. Tap a month for the departure behind it.
The pattern is a pendulum. World Navigator and World Traveller winter in Antarctica, then head north in April for the Mediterranean, Greenland and Churchill. World Voyager joins them only in the Northern Hemisphere summer.
Atlas doesn’t sail the Galápagos, the Kimberley or Alaska on the listings we read. For those, start with our Galápagos, Kimberley and Alaska expedition guides.
The Churchill voyages in July and August are the ones to watch if wildlife leads your list. Read our polar bear guide, then our Antarctica, Arctic and Greenland pages, and choose the month.
Start with the fare, add what Atlas leaves out
Price an Atlas voyage
Pick a departure. Tick what you’ll add, and type your own numbers where Atlas doesn’t publish one.
Fares are Atlas’s lowest published “from” prices per guest, double occupancy, cruise-only, as published on November 1, 2026. Most include a time-limited Bonus Savings promotion, and Atlas runs frequent sales. Taxes and fees are already in Atlas’s fares. Lines at $0 have no published price; we’ll quote them.
Most rows read “not published”. That’s the honest picture: the fare is wide, and what’s left is mostly your own flight and your own cover.
Get the flight price first. On a 7-night King George Island fly-cruise it’s the biggest number after the fare — and Atlas doesn’t publish it.

Sizes and perks come from Atlas’s ship pages — the three original yachts share the same eight categories, from 183 to 465 sq ft.
Guarantee fares lock in a category, not a suite number, and Atlas assigns the suite no later than seven days before sailing. Book a confirmed suite if the deck matters to you.
What a night costs, region by region
Europe runs about $460 to $650 a night on Atlas’s lowest fares. The polar voyages start near $1,000, and the fly-cruise costs the most per night.
What to confirm before you book
Tap a card for the detail. Each comes from Atlas’s pages or the trade press named in the sources.
Final payment lands about four months out. Travel Market Report’s August 2026 survey of line policies puts it at 121 days before departure. Atlas’s public pages don’t show its deposit or cancellation schedule, so we couldn’t verify either on November 1, 2026.
Ask us for the terms on your invoice, and compare cover in our expedition insurance guide before final payment.
Atlas, or another line
Our judgement, built on Atlas’s published inclusions. Where another line fits better, we say so.
You want the bar and the tips handled, on a small ship
Wines, spirits, the minibar and onboard gratuities are in every fare, with fewer than 200 guests aboard.
You’d rather not organize the Ushuaia leg
The charter from Buenos Aires and a hotel night come with every Antarctic voyage from Ushuaia.
You want Greenland and Churchill in one summer
World Navigator links Nuuk and Churchill in 14 to 16 nights each way, in July and August.
You want helicopters or a higher polar class
Atlas lists Polar Category C and 1B. Quark flies helicopters from Ultramarine; Ponant runs an icebreaker to the North Pole.
The naturalist team is the point
Lindblad builds its voyages around naturalists and a photo instructor on every ship.
What buyers ask about Atlas
What does an Atlas Ocean Voyages fare include?
Atlas's published Always Included list covers five-star dining, bars and lounges with wines, spirits and craft beers, specialty coffees, the in-room minibar, 24-hour room service, gratuities for onboard service staff, binoculars and walking sticks, an Atlas Immersive Experience on board or ashore, butler service in Reserve Collection suites, and trip delay and medical evacuation coverage. Antarctic voyages from Ushuaia or King George Island add a private charter flight and a hotel night, and polar voyages add a parka and vest to keep.
Does Atlas still include airfare?
Not as a standing inclusion. Atlas bundled economy air from 16 North American gateways in July 2020, but its current offer terms say airfare isn't included unless noted and guests arrange their own air. Through December 31, 2026, its Explorer's Choice offer lets you pick an air credit of $2,000 per suite on Antarctica and South America voyages, or $1,500 on Arctic voyages, instead of a hotel package or enhanced Wi-Fi.
Which Atlas ships sail to Antarctica?
World Navigator and World Traveller. Atlas's Antarctica page lists only those two from November 2026 to March 2029. World Voyager is on a three-season charter to Quark Expeditions from November 2026, so in those winters you book it through Quark, not Atlas. It sails for Atlas in the Northern Hemisphere summer.
How much does a solo traveler pay on Atlas?
Atlas doesn't publish one standing solo rate. Its Single Explorer Savings offer, as published on November 1, 2026, advertises reduced single supplements from 150% of the double-occupancy fare on select voyages booked by December 31. Eligible sailings are capacity-controlled, so ask us which departures carry it.
What ice class are Atlas ships?
Atlas lists its yachts at Polar Category C and Ice Class 1B. That's a Polar Code category, not a numbered PC1 to PC7 polar class. Category C ships are built for open water or light ice, and Atlas sails the Antarctic Peninsula in season, not the deep pack.
When is final payment due on Atlas?
Travel Market Report's August 2026 survey of line policies puts Atlas's final payment at 121 days before departure. We couldn't confirm Atlas's deposit or cancellation schedule on its public pages on November 1, 2026, so we'll get both in writing for your voyage before you commit.
Does Atlas include travel insurance?
Atlas includes trip delay and medical evacuation coverage, but its pages don't publish the limits. Ask for the certificate. The CDC puts a medical evacuation from a remote place above $250,000, so check the figure before you skip your own plan, and remember it isn't cancellation cover.

Where every number came from
Fares, inclusions, suites and departures are Atlas’s own published figures on the date shown; the final-payment window is Travel Market Report’s. Per-night costs, the calendar shading and the fit verdicts are our arithmetic and judgement, not Atlas’s. Most fares carry time-limited savings; your invoice governs.
Where to go next
The voyage, the gateway night, and the cover that matters out there.
Expedition trips have more moving parts than a Caribbean week: a charter flight, a night in a gateway city, gear lists and an evacuation clause the line sets for you. We book them together and check that the dates and the fine print agree.
