One flat, confirmed rate at MPCT
Unlike several ports we cover, Marseille's main terminal publishes a single, clear parking rate directly on its own site.
The main terminal's own lot
- Cars, motorcycles, and motorhomes all at the same flat rate
- No height limit, confirmed directly on MPCT's own site
- €150 flat for 10 to 30 days
- Guarded around the clock, under five minutes’ walk to the terminals
No rate we could find
- The smaller, historic-center terminal, separate from MPCT
- No parking page or rate of its own on any page we read
- Confirm directly with your cruise line if J4 is your terminal
MPCT parking, in full
- 24 hours: €15 flat, for cars, motorcycles, and motorhomes (no height limit)
- 10 to 30 days: €150 flat, which MPCT calls its monthly rate; longer stays on request, per September’s read
- Terminal B adjoins a 10,000 m² covered parking structure, per MPCT's own terminals page — no separate rate published for it
- Guarded around the clock by security staff, under five minutes’ walk from the terminals, and bookable online on MPCT’s parking page. You shouldn't need to book: the tourist office's MPCT listing calls a reservation optional, and its cruise-port page says 2,000 spaces with a space guaranteed (all re-read October 4, 2026)

If you're using the J4 terminal
J4, beside the Vieux-Port under the cathedral, is a separate terminal from MPCT at Gate 4, and we found no parking rate of its own for it. Given its city-center location, on-street or municipal parking near the Vieux Port may be your realistic option; confirm with your cruise line's own boarding documents which terminal you're actually using before you plan around either page.
Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sailing from MPCT (most lines) | MPCT's own lot at Gate 4 | A confirmed €15/day flat rate, no height limit. |
| On a longer cruise (10+ days) | MPCT's 10-to-30-day rate | From the 10th day it’s a flat €150, good to 30 days, so every day after the tenth costs nothing extra. |
| Sailing from the J4 terminal | Confirm directly with your line | We found no J4 parking rate of its own. |
Staying the night before? None of the twenty hotels we ranked sells cruise parking on any page we read, so the car still goes to MPCT’s lot. What four of them charge for the night itself:
| Hotel | Overnight parking | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Toyoko Inn Marseille Saint Charles | €15 a night, 66 spaces, per the tourist office | By the A7 exit, about 4.5 road miles from MPCT by our routing. |
| NH Collection Marseille | Indigo République €18.50 a day | Can’t be reserved in advance, per NH. |
| InterContinental Marseille | €49 a day, reservation required | Per the Michelin Guide; the tourist office prints €39 to €49. |
| Hilton Garden Inn Marseille Airport | Free for guests, per Hilton | Hilton doesn’t say a car can stay while you cruise. |
MSC’s own Marseille page prints MPCT parking at €14 per 24 hours, against the €15 above. More: the splurge list and Marseille Provence to the ship.

Parking FAQ
Is there official parking at MPCT?
Yes — confirmed directly on MPCT's own site: a flat €15 per 24-hour period for cars, motorcycles, and motorhomes, with no height limit. Stays of 10 to 30 days pay a flat €150 instead, per MPCT's parking page, read October 4, 2026.
What about the J4 terminal?
We found none. MPCT's own site covers parking at Gate 4, and neither the port authority nor the tourist office prints a J4 rate. If your line uses J4, confirm directly rather than assuming the MPCT rate applies.
Does Terminal B's covered parking cost extra?
We couldn't confirm it either way. MPCT's own site names a 10,000 m² covered parking structure adjoining Terminal B, but doesn't publish a separate rate for it distinct from the general €15/day figure.
Is the €15/day rate good value compared to other Mediterranean ports?
Reasonably so — it's a flat, confirmed rate with no height restriction, which compares favorably to the uncertainty found at some other ports we cover. Still worth comparing against your specific line's own transfer options before deciding.
