The terminal deck, and the other ways to leave the car
Three ways to deal with the car, side by side. Only the deck has a printed price, and even that depends on who printed it.
The terminal deck
- 500 spaces, attached to the terminal, per the City of Mobile
- Prepay through Premium Parking, per the terminal’s site
- Visit Mobile says $23 — CruiseHive says $21
A hotel that holds the car
- Two of our twenty offer it on their own pages: Holiday Inn West I-10 and The Admiral
- More deals sit on Visit Mobile’s coupon pages, undated
- We checked them one by one: see the ranking
The train, or a drop-off
- Amtrak from New Orleans stops about 400 yards from the terminal, per Visit Mobile
- Six covered drop-off lanes at the terminal
- From MOB, CruiseHive puts a cab at $25 to $35

Sail morning, in order
Prepay online — the terminal’s site links to Premium Parking.
Then drive to 201 S. Water Street, drop the bags and the party at the covered lanes, and park in the deck. You walk in from the car.
Carnival’s pages list Spirit leaving Mobile at 3:30 PM, and your boarding documents give your check-in time. Arrive for that, not for the sailing.
Coming home, Spirit’s itinerary pages list an 8:00 AM arrival — the car is a short walk from the baggage hall, not a ride away.
Hotels and other options
We didn’t find a private off-site cruise lot with published rates we’d stand behind. So the terminal deck, at $21 to $23 a day by its sources, is the number to beat. Cruzely mentioned overflow parking at the Mobile Civic Center in its older guide — we found nothing current on it.
Visit Mobile’s cruise page points to “Park & Cruise Hotel Packages”. Its coupon pages carry a long list, undated and unpriced — and mostly missing from the hotels’ own sites.
Hotels that hold the car
We went through the Mobile hotels’ own sites one at a time, downtown, by I-65, off I-10 and across the bay. Two print a way to leave the car for the cruise — the Holiday Inn Mobile West I-10, whose park and cruise package adds a van to the terminal, and The Admiral, with its Park & Travel Package. Our twenty-hotel ranking scores every one on parking and distance, and names each Visit Mobile deal so you know what to ask for.

Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Driving in on sail day | The terminal deck | You park where you board. Prepay, and expect $21 to $23 a day — depending on whose rate holds. |
| Driving in the night before | Holiday Inn West I-10 or The Admiral | The only two of our twenty that put cruise parking on their own pages; ask the package price. |
| Flying into MOB | No car: a cab or rideshare | A rental would sit in the deck while you cruise — on the daily rate. CruiseHive puts a cab at $25 to $35. |
| Coming from New Orleans or the Mississippi coast | The train | Amtrak’s Mardi Gras Service stops about 400 yards from the terminal, per Visit Mobile. Fares started at $15, per WLOX. |
| An RV or oversized vehicle | Call the terminal first | CruiseHive lists $42 and $63 oversized rates; the official pages we read print neither a rate nor a height limit. |
| Staying downtown | Ask the hotel, then the deck | Every downtown hotel in our twenty is under a mile of road from the terminal, by our routing. |

Parking FAQ
How much is cruise parking at the Mobile terminal?
It depends on who you read. Visit Mobile says covered spots in the terminal's 500-space deck are $23 a day. CruiseHive says $21 for regular cars, and $42 or $63 for oversized vehicles. Cruzely's $18 a day predates the prepay system. The official prepay page didn't show a price when we read it, so check it for your dates.
Where do you park for a cruise from Mobile?
In the terminal's own 500-space parking deck, part of the same complex at 201 S. Water Street, per the City of Mobile. There are six covered pick-up and drop-off lanes — drop the bags and the party first, then park.
Can I prepay cruise parking in Mobile?
Yes. The terminal's site says "Pre-Pay parking is now available at the Cruise Terminal" — and links to Premium Parking. Visit Mobile says the covered spots can be booked in advance.
Can I park an RV at the Mobile cruise terminal?
CruiseHive lists oversized-vehicle rates of $42 and $63 a day at the terminal, and Cruzely's older page had RVs at $36. The terminal's own pages we read print neither an oversized rate nor a height limit. Call the terminal on 251-338-7447 before you drive a big rig in — the oversized rates are a third party's, not the terminal's.
Which Mobile hotels let you park while you cruise?
Two of our twenty say so on their own pages. The Holiday Inn Mobile West I-10 sells a park and cruise package that adds a van to the terminal, and The Admiral downtown has its Park & Travel Package. Neither prints a price, so you're asking, not booking. Visit Mobile's coupon pages list more, from the Hampton Inn downtown to SpringHill Suites and Fort Condé Inn. We couldn't find those on the hotels' own sites.
Can I take the train to a Mobile cruise instead of driving?
From the west, yes. Amtrak's Mardi Gras Service runs twice a day from New Orleans, with stops on the Mississippi coast. WLOX reported coach fares from $15 at launch. The Mobile platform is about 400 yards from the terminal, per Visit Mobile, so there's no car to park at all.
