Fly into Ezeiza (EZE) from abroad. It’s about 42 km from the pier, roughly 50 minutes depending on traffic, per Holland America, and Uber, taxis, Didi and Cabify are all readily available.
Holland America gives about ARS 35,000 for the ride — an approximation. Taxi Ezeiza, the airport’s official taxi, sells prepaid fixed fares at stands in Terminals A and C, payable in pesos, dollars or euros, or by card. Its own fare page wouldn’t load for us, so check it at the stand.
Traveling light? Tienda León’s bus runs to its Carlos Pellegrini terminal for ARS 16,500 a person, about an hour, per Tienda León — and it stops at its own terminal, not the port. From there it’s a short taxi to the port.
Take a taxi or rideshare if
- You have cruise luggage
- You’re landing on sail day
- There are two or more of you
Take Tienda León if
- You’re arriving the day before and staying near Carlos Pellegrini
- You’re traveling alone and light
- You don’t mind a second taxi to the port

No line we read runs a published airport transfer for Buenos Aires — at least in the pages we could open. Holland America says its transfer drivers meet guests at the customs exit car park; if you bought a transfer with your cruise, your documents give the meeting point.

What the ride costs, roughly
The taxi row is Holland America’s figure, per car — approximate, not a fare. The bus row is Tienda León’s own fare, per person, and stops at its Carlos Pellegrini terminal, not the port.
| Taxi or rideshare, Ezeiza to the pier: Holland America’s approximate ARS 35,000 per car; the stand sign read ARS 50,000 in April 2026 | — |
| Tienda León bus, Ezeiza to Carlos Pellegrini, ARS 16,500 a person, per Tienda León | — |
One way, in Argentine pesos, as printed on October 12, 2026 — peso prices change fast. The bus leaves you about 1.7 km from the terminal by our map, so add a short taxi — no fare is published for that leg.
Taxi Ezeiza’s fixed fares are paid at the stand before you get in. A blog report from April 2026 saw ARS 50,000 on the stand’s sign and ARS 35,000 on its website for the city — we couldn’t open the fare page ourselves.
Landing on sail day? Check your timing
No line we read publishes a standard departure time for Buenos Aires, so put in the one from your documents. The first row is the ride plus our own allowance for the airport; the second is our margin — not a rule.
- The ride, plus clearing the airportAbout 50 minutes on the road, per Holland America, plus our own allowance of about two hours for immigration, bags and the ship’s check-in cut-off — your documents give the cut-off itself.—
- A ride in with time to spareOur rule of thumb, not a line's: land at least 5 hours before the ship leaves.—
A morning landing tempts a same-day plan — it can work, if nothing slips. We’d still come the day before: a late flight has nowhere to go, the traffic varies, and the ship won’t wait.
Fly in the day before. Take a short taxi in the morning.
We ranked eleven hotels for a Buenos Aires sailing; the closest by our map are in Retiro; those are straight-line pins, not measured routes. There’s one at Ezeiza with a free shuttle — at the airport, rather than the port. Tell us the flight and the ship, and we’ll pick the night that fits.
The morning you’re back
Coming back, a taxi rank sits outside the cruise port, per CruiseMapper — Holland America adds that Uber, taxis, Didi and Cabify are readily available. Ezeiza is about 50 minutes away in traffic. Enter your flight and when you expect to be ashore; the planner sets out the ride and the wait.
Partner links may earn Seabound Journeys a commission at no extra cost to you. They don't change the plan, which is built only from what each company publishes. Peso fares are as printed on October 12, 2026 and move fast.
Aeroparque, bags and the gap
Flying in from elsewhere in Argentina, or from a neighboring country? You may land at Aeroparque, about 8 km north of the center, per MSC. It’s the closer airport by far — our map puts it about 5 km from the terminal in a straight line, not a route. Tienda León runs to Carlos Pellegrini 971 in about 30 minutes for ARS 7,500.
Connecting between the two? Tienda León runs Aeroparque to Ezeiza for ARS 17,000 a person, about 1 hour 20 minutes — on the company’s own timing. Leave plenty of time.
There’s no luggage storage at the pier, per Holland America. If you land early with hours to fill, the hotel is the place for bags — if it agrees to hold them. For the terminal and the lines, see our Buenos Aires cruise guide.
Flying in the day before
One night in Buenos Aires takes the risk out of sail day — most of it, anyway. The closest hotels are in Retiro, about 1 km from the terminal by our map, with Recoleta just behind.
None of our eleven runs a ride to the ship. The cards below show each hotel’s straight-line distance from Ezeiza — the drive is longer.
