Hotel Mediterraneo is the seafront pick with a car park of its own, and it's seventh only on the alphabet. Its own site, run by Roses Hotels, shows sea-view rooms, a two-room Family Superior and a large car park for guests at Viale Garibaldi 38, about 1.0 road mile from Largo della Pace by our routing.
Hotels.com sells it as "Mediterraneo Suisse" at the same address with the same room types, so we treat the two as one hotel. A booking site showing either name at number 38 means this one.
The site doesn't say the parking is free, or that a car can stay for the length of a cruise. The listing calls it free and limited, which covers the night, not the week.
Breakfast isn't on the site; the listing prices it at about €10 (about US$11). Book it for the sea view, and ask about the car before you drive in.
Book it if
- You want the sea outside the window
- You're driving in and want a guest car park
- Your family needs two rooms in one
Look elsewhere if
- You only carry cash.
- You want breakfast included.
- You need it in writing that the car can stay for the cruise.
Your night before, from here
From check-in to the gangway, using only what Hotel Mediterraneo’s own site and listing print.
Its Hotels.com listing names the Filippo III seafood restaurant and a bar; the hotel's own site doesn't mention either, so check it's open before you plan dinner there.
The hotel's site mentions no shuttle — its Hotels.com listing mentions a €6 (about US$7) bus and a van shuttle "negotiable" without saying who runs them; the €6 matches the port's own station bus, so don't count on a hotel ride. From Hotel Mediterraneo, a booked taxi or the walk to Largo della Pace covers it.
The hotel's site doesn't mention breakfast — its Hotels.com listing prices the buffet at about €10 for adults and €6 for children.
The hotel's English page says it's 300 metres from the station and the same from the port entrance; its Italian contact page says 5 minutes from the port. That's the gate, not your ship, and our routing gives about 1.0 road mile to Largo della Pace. The port’s shuttle then takes about 10 to 15 minutes from Largo della Pace to the ships, per Port Mobility.
The hotel's site lists a large internal car park reserved for guests. It doesn't say the parking is free, or that you can leave the car for the length of a cruise. Its Hotels.com listing calls it free and limited.
