If you're not driving

Coming from Rome? On ship days a bus runs from Civitavecchia station to the ships, so you can skip the car.

The CSP bus runs from Civitavecchia station to the ships every 20 to 25 minutes, €6 each way, roughly 7am to 7pm on ship days only, per Port Mobility. Add the FL5 train from Roma Termini, Ostiense, Trastevere or San Pietro, €4.60 on Port Mobility's figure, and it's the cheap way from Rome. The guide's Getting Here section has the rest.

Parking FAQ

Is there official parking at the Civitavecchia cruise port?

Yes. Parcheggio Nord is the port's own lot, run by Port Mobility, with a free shuttle to your ship. Port Mobility's parking page calls it the only car park inside the port, though its FAQ names a second, “Cruise”, without prices.

How much does it cost?

€1.20 for the first hour and €17 for 24 hours. A week is €79 at the gate or €69 paid online from May 16 to October 31, and €69 or €59 online the rest of the year, per Port Mobility's price list, re-read October 4, 2026.

Is there a cheaper option outside the port?

We found no cheaper price in print. MSC names an MSC Park and Cruise lot on the Via Aurelia Nord at km 74.6, with a free shuttle to the terminal and online booking up to 48 hours ahead, but its page shows no price. If you're coming by train from Rome, you won't need parking at all.

Does Parcheggio Nord fill up?

We couldn't find out. Port Mobility doesn't publish availability, so book online ahead for a busy sailing day; it's €10 cheaper that way too.
