AAA Five DiamondForbes Four-Star · AAA list
The verdict

The Four Seasons is the splurge if the rating is the point. It's Philadelphia's only hotel on AAA's 2026 Five Diamond list, with Jean-Georges on the 59th and 60th floors, a 57th-floor infinity-edge pool and a spa Forbes rates Five-Star.

Forbes rates the hotel itself Four-Star. A Forbes Stories headline calls it the city's newest Five-Star hotel, but we only saw the title, not a date, so we go with the current Forbes page.

What the pages don't tell you is the practical part — parking, breakfast and check-in times aren't on what we read. The ship is about 10.3 road miles and 23 minutes away by our routing, and there's no shuttle.

Go for the view and the dinner, not the drive, and call for the valet rate before you set off.

Book it if

  • The one Five Diamond in Philadelphia, if the rating itself is the treat
  • Dinner at Jean-Georges on the 59th floor, with the city lit up below
  • A swim in the 57th-floor infinity pool before you trade it for the ship's

Look elsewhere if

  • You need the parking rate and the breakfast terms in writing before you book, since the pages we read print neither.
  • You want the shortest drive to the ship — the Ritz-Carlton is closer by our routing.
  • One night before a cruise feels like the wrong place for a Five Diamond bill.
