On the water, off the rails

IC Pier 8 is seventh on 35, behind Four Points Flex. It sits on Shinko Pier, about 0.9 road miles (1.4 km) from Osanbashi by our routing, the shortest drive of the five Yokohama hotels we ranked, and it scores no rail points.

There are two restaurants and room service, and a fitness center. Parking is ¥3,000 (about US$19) a night, or ¥4,000 (about US$25) for valet, across 372 spaces: 13 on site and 359 at the Hammerhead car park.

Book it if you want to be on the water and don't mind a short taxi, not a rail ride. Shinko Pier is on Yokohama's own list of terminals, though we found no sailing that uses it.
