Le Havre is a real turnaround port, but a small one for American cruisers. CruiseMapper counts 57 turnarounds here in 2025 — 19 full and 38 partial — out of 137 calls, and GIP figures on our port page count about 62,000 passengers embarking or disembarking that year.
For a US traveller that mostly means two luxury lines. Regent and Oceania start and end European voyages here, sold as “Paris (Le Havre)”. MSC Preziosa also boards here on its winter North Sea loop, per Cruise Industry News.
Paris isn’t next door. It’s a two-hour train, then a taxi — so this guide is built around Saint-Lazare, not the airport.
If your ship is only calling for the day, our Le Havre port-day guide covers the walk into town and our shore excursion picks cover the tours.
Lines starting or ending cruises here in 2026–27
Deployments change every season, so this roster is dated and sourced, and it lives only here.
Checked on October 19, 2026 — Regent’s items come from its own voyage pages, Oceania’s 2026 items from its own listing titles, and the rest from listings and a trade report, so confirm before you book around them.
Regent’s Seven Seas Mariner arrives at 07:00 on May 27, 2027, sold either as a 28-night crossing from New York or a 12-night voyage from Lisbon, and leaves at 17:00 the same day on a 14-night voyage to Copenhagen, per Regent. Its 2026 listings show voyages from Stockholm and Copenhagen ending here and one to Barcelona starting here. Oceania lists 2026 voyages from Le Havre to Southampton and to Barcelona, and others ending here, on its own site. For 2027, The Cruise Web lists Marina from Le Havre to Southampton on May 20, sailing at 17:00, and Vista from Le Havre to Copenhagen on July 16, sailing at 16:00.
MSC’s Preziosa sails seven-night winter cruises, late October to April, with Le Havre among its boarding ports, per Cruise Industry News. Most of the port’s 137 calls in 2025 were visits, not turnarounds, by CruiseMapper’s count. Pick the ship first; the night and the train follow from it.

Where you can go
From Le Havre the voyages run three ways: up the Channel to Southampton, Zeebrugge and Amsterdam, on to Scandinavia and Copenhagen, or south round Iberia to Lisbon and Barcelona. Spring brings Regent’s crossing in from New York. The ports below are named on the sailings we found; one voyage won’t call at all of them.

Entry: The US State Department wants your passport valid for three months beyond the day you leave the Schengen area, with one blank page, and rates France Level 2, exercise increased caution, as of May 28, 2025. The EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully running since April 10, 2026, per the French foreign ministry. It records a photo and, from age 12, fingerprints at your first Schengen border — for most US fly-in cruisers that’s passport control at Charles de Gaulle or Orly, not the ship. ETIAS isn’t running and you can’t apply for it yet. The EU says it will give at least six months’ notice, and by September 2026 its portal had dropped the old “last quarter of 2026” date without naming a new one, per Newland Chase. We found no published date when we checked on October 19, 2026. Our Le Havre port-day guide covers how EES works for round trips from the UK.

The cruise terminal at Pointe de Floride
Sea-cruise ships use the cruise terminal on the Pointe de Floride, run by GIP Le Havre Croisières from Quai Roger Meunier, 76059 Le Havre, per the tourist office. It handles transit calls and turnarounds alike. Inside there are check-in counters, a baggage storage area and scanner, customs and border police, a tourist information point, free WiFi, a shop and car and bike hire.
The complex is new. Terminals 2 and 3, in renovated hangars on Quai Pierre Callet and Quai Joannès Couvert, opened in April 2026; Terminal 1, on Quai Roger Meunier, was still unconfirmed when our port-day guide checked in September. Nobody publishes which building your ship will use, so look at your documents.
Plan to ride, not walk. The tourist office puts the terminal 2.5 km from the centre and the station, and CruiseMapper warns that walking through the port is sometimes prohibited. There’s a taxi rank at the terminal and shuttles to the centre, but no published fares, and the shuttles are arranged by the lines.
River ships are separate: they tie up at Quai de Marseille and Quai des Antilles, about 15 minutes’ walk from the centre, per the tourist office.
| Quay | Where | What we know |
|---|---|---|
| Terminals 2 and 3 | Quai Pierre Callet and Quai Joannès Couvert, Pointe de Floride | Renovated hangars 12 and 13, opened April 2026, per our port-day guide’s sources and CruiseMapper |
| Terminal 1 | Quai Roger Meunier, Pointe de Floride | The new main building; opening date unconfirmed in September 2026 |
| River quay | Quai de Marseille and Quai des Antilles | River cruise boats only, about 15 minutes’ walk from the centre |
Send us your ship and sail date and we’ll tell you which quay and which night. Ask us ↓
Sources: the Le Havre tourist office’s cruise pages (English and French), CruiseMapper and our Le Havre port-day guide, read October 19, 2026. We found no published check-in hours for any terminal building. Confirm with your line — the quay can change with the ship.
Parking, in short
The tourist office says cruise passengers can reserve long-term parking at the Effia Vauban car park, by the docks, and gives driving directions: follow the green “car-ferries” signs, then “Terminal Croisière”. It prints no price, and we couldn’t open Effia’s page.
Most Americans sailing from here come by train, and that’s what we’d do. If you’re driving, book Vauban ahead and price the taxi to the terminal.
Getting here
No US flight lands in Le Havre. You fly into Paris and take the train. The Paris Saint-Lazare to Le Havre TER takes 2h00 at its fastest and 2h11 on average, with 15 a day from 05:46 to 20:40, per SNCF Connect.
From Charles de Gaulle, either take the RER B into Paris and cross to Saint-Lazare, or book SNCF’s own route, 4h28 at its fastest with a change at Massy TGV. From Orly, metro line 14 runs straight to Saint-Lazare, per RATP.
| From | Taxi | Public transport |
|---|---|---|
| CDG — Charles de Gaulle | About €56 to Saint-Lazare’s side of Paris, the 2026 fixed fare for the Right Bank, per a travel guide citing the official order; Paris Aéroport’s own page wouldn’t load for us. | RER B, €14, 25 to 30 minutes to Gare du Nord, per Île-de-France Mobilités; or SNCF via Massy TGV, 4h28 at the fastest to Le Havre. RoissyBus stopped on March 1, 2026. |

The State Department warns that pickpocketing is common at airports and stations, and on trains. Keep the bags close on the RER. Charles de Gaulle to the ship has the rest.
The night before, ranked: we’ve scored eleven hotels for the night before a Le Havre cruise: nine in Le Havre and two in Paris, on what each one publishes. None runs a ride to the ship. Five worth knowing:
| Hotel | Where | One thing to know |
|---|---|---|
| ibis Styles Perret | Rue de Paris, south end | The closest on our pins, about 750 m, and the only one with breakfast in every stay, per Accor. |
| Pasino | Place Jules Ferry, Bassin du Commerce | An indoor pool, a sauna and a spa, per listings. |
| Novotel Gare | Cours La Fayette, by the station | About 4 minutes from the station, with check-in until 05:30. |
| Hilton Paris Opera | Rue Saint-Lazare, Paris, by Saint-Lazare station | Two minutes from Saint-Lazare, for a night in Paris first. |
| Sheraton CDG | Terminal 2, Charles de Gaulle Airport | Inside Terminal 2 at CDG, for the night after. |
