The short answer

Fly into Logan. Norwegian puts it about 2 miles and 10 minutes from Flynn Cruiseport, and the SL1 Silver Line out of the airport is free, per the MBTA.

With cruise luggage, most people take a cab: Holland America puts it at about $40, and allows 45 to 60 minutes when the tunnel backs up. Whichever you pick, land the day before if you can — the ride is short, the traffic isn’t predictable.

Take a cab if

  • You have cruise luggage and want the door
  • There are several of you, since the meter is per cab
  • You’re landing close to sail time

Take the Silver Line if

  • You travel light and don’t mind one change
  • You’re staying in the Seaport the night before
  • You want the free ride: the SL1 costs nothing from Logan

The Map

One terminal, across the harbor from Logan

Logan sits across the harbor from the Seaport, and the Ted Williams Tunnel links them. Flynn Cruiseport is at 1 Black Falcon Avenue, at the far end of the Seaport’s working waterfront, run by Massport, the same authority that runs Logan. For 2026, check-in is in a tent along the water while Massport upgrades the terminal.

The Ride

What the ride to the ship costs

Set how many of you are riding. The cab and the private car are per vehicle and the Silver Line is per person, so the cheapest answer changes with the size of your party.

One way, in US dollars, before tip. The cab is Holland America’s estimate; Boston cabs run on the meter, per the Boston Police Hackney rates. The Silver Line row is the SL2 fare, since the SL1 is free from Logan; it stops on Drydock Avenue, about a 10-minute walk from the terminal, and we couldn’t confirm whether the free ride covers the SL2 leg. The Viator price is the cheapest “from” price we saw for a private transfer from Logan to the cruiseport.

Other ways in: Princess meets its guests at Logan for flights landing by 1 PM, without a price on its Boston page, and Norwegian sells transfers booked at least 4 days ahead, without a published Boston price.

Fly In Early

Flying in the day before

The day-before flight is the one move that takes a delay off sail day. It costs a hotel night. It buys you the morning.
