Novotel Brisbane Airport ranks second of twenty, and no hotel on the list sits closer to the ship. By our routing it's the nearest hotel on the list to the cruise terminal, 6.8 road miles (11.0 km), about 16 minutes with no traffic, and Accor lists a pool and a buffet breakfast.
The hotel publishes no ride to the ships — its A$9 (about US$6) shuttle is a scheduled loop between the airport's domestic and international terminals, which helps your flight and does nothing for the cruise. Brisbane Airport's own page lists a separate complimentary Skygate bus for the precinct.
Accor and the hotel's homepage disagree in small ways: Accor says breakfast is included at Catalina Restaurant and lists a pool, while the homepage says only that breakfast is available and mentions no pool. Confirm both against your rate before you rely on either.
I'd pick it if you land at Brisbane Airport and want the shortest drive to the ship in the morning, not a hotel-run ride.
Novotel fits if
- A short morning drive matters more to you than a hotel-run ride.
- A pool and a restaurant downstairs appeal, as Accor lists them.
- A five-minute walk to Skygate is useful to you.
Not for you if
- You want the hotel to run you to the terminal; its shuttle doesn't.
- A pool is non-negotiable and Accor's word alone won't do.
- You'd rather stay in the city.
Nearest on the list, with no ship shuttle
The airport is 2.4 road miles away by our routing, and the shuttle covers that — nothing covers the other leg.
It's A$9 a person on the loop described above; the free Skygate bus on the airport's own page is a separate service.
Hotel shuttle
Nothing on Accor's page or the hotel's covers the run to the ship.
The Port of Brisbane says nothing public serves the terminal, and the hotel's pages document no ride of their own.
Driving: undercover parking costs extra, and reception quotes the price.
The shuttle stays on its airport loop, so the ship needs its own ride.
Landing on sail day itself? The airport page covers that 2.4-mile hop, and you may not need the night.
Which terminal
the cruise terminalOn our routing Novotel Airport is the closest of the twenty to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, at 6.8 road miles (11.0 km). The lines that call are in our Brisbane cruise guide.

~6.8 road mi, our routingThe hotel's pages give no cruise distance, so both the miles and the minutes are ours.

No ride to the terminal listedSame blank from both sources; the Port of Brisbane adds that no public transport serves the terminal.

No shuttle statedA taxi is the realistic ride, about 16 minutes with no traffic. Book it the night before.
Source: novotelbrisbaneairport.com.auCatalina, then the short drive
The morning is short on distance and long on questions: breakfast depends on your rate, parking has no printed price, and the shuttle doesn't go to the ship.
Dinner is Catalina Bar & Restaurant or the 24-hour in-room menu. The pool is on Accor's page and not on the homepage.
The cab to the ship is the one thing to settle before you sleep.
Ask if your rate includes the Catalina buffet — don't count on it until someone confirms.
The drive itself is about 16 minutes with no traffic by our routing — so allow a margin on top.
Driving? Ask reception for the undercover price before you commit.
Novotel's 40: full marks on distance, nothing on the ride
Distance earns 30 of 30 and the evening 10 of 15, from a restaurant and a pool. The ship and ride columns are zero, and breakfast is rate-dependent, so none of the 10 points comes from it. That makes 40 on a scale that tops out at 100.
A pool and a 24-hour menu
The evening
Pool · Food or bar on siteCatalina Bar & Restaurant, plus a 24-hour in-room dining menu. Accor's page lists a swimming pool — the hotel's own homepage doesn't mention one.
Breakfast
Breakfast on some ratesAccor's page says breakfast is included at Catalina Restaurant as a buffet, and the hotel's own homepage says only that breakfast is available. Treat it as rate-dependent and confirm on your rate.

Accor sets check-in at 2 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. The hotel's own homepage prints neither — so we take Accor's word.

Two things to pin down: the pool and the rate
What's settled
- Check-in 2 p.m., check-out 11 a.m. (Accor).
- Two shuttles, two jobs: the A$9 airport loop and the free Skygate bus.
- Premier Twin rooms are 40 m², and Accor says rooms sleep up to four.
- The Skygate shopping centre is a five-minute walk, per Accor.
- Accor and the homepage print no room rate we can use — so confirm the total at booking.
Still unconfirmed
- Whether the pool exists on the hotel's own pages
- Shuttle times
- The parking fee
- Pet rules
Accor and the hotel's homepage don't match on the pool or on breakfast. Ask which one applies to your rate and your dates.
A hotel ride to the ship? The Kingsford has one
Before you decide: what the Brisbane cruise guide says about the terminal, the parking page, and the grander hotels.
The nearest bed, then the ship.
Send your sail date and we'll check Novotel Brisbane Airport and ask about the pool and breakfast. Nothing is charged on the form.
Novotel questions: shuttle, pool, breakfast, room size
Does the Novotel Brisbane Airport shuttle go to the cruise terminal?
No. The hotel's A$9 shuttle stays on the airport loop, and neither the hotel nor Accor lists a ride to the ships.
Is there a pool at the Novotel Brisbane Airport?
Accor's page lists one. The hotel's own homepage doesn't mention a pool, so ask before you pack swimwear.
Is breakfast included at the Novotel Brisbane Airport?
Accor says yes, as a buffet at Catalina Restaurant. The homepage says only that it's available, so your rate decides it.
How big are the rooms at the Novotel Brisbane Airport?
Accor gives the Premier Twin as 40 m² and says rooms sleep up to four. Standard Twin sizes aren't printed.
What's the free Skygate bus near the Novotel Brisbane Airport?
Brisbane Airport's hotel page lists it as a free bus around the hotel precinct. It isn't the hotel's A$9 loop, and nothing we read sends either one to the cruise terminal.
