W's pitch is the pool. Marriott's page lists WET as a heated outdoor pool open 24 hours a day, plus a buffet breakfast at The Lex.
The ship is far. By our routing the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is 13.5 road miles away, about 29 minutes with no traffic and among the two longest drives of the eight. The page lists a private transfer by reservation for the airport, no complimentary shuttle, and nothing for the terminal.
Check-in is 3 p.m. and check-out is noon — and pets are welcome, one per room up to 18 kg, at A$150 (about US$105) a stay or A$30 (about US$20) a night, non-refundable.
I'd book it for a late swim before an early start, not for the ride. Ask whether the Lex buffet is in your rate, because the page doesn't say.
Book it if
- A late swim, not an early night, is the point of the stay.
- You're travelling with a pet under 18 kg
- A noon check-out suits your boarding window
Look elsewhere if
- You need a published ride to the terminal.
- You want breakfast confirmed in the rate.
- You'd rather be in the Valley, closer to the ship.
13.5 road miles from North Quay to the ship
North Quay is one of the longer drives to Pinkenba — the hotel prints nothing for it, and what W has is a pool open late, not a ship shuttle.
Marriott lists a private transfer by reservation, puts the airport 19.4 km away and says there's no complimentary shuttle. It prints no fare.
The hotel
Nothing to the ship appears on the page. The private transfer Marriott lists is for the airport, so plan a taxi of about 29 minutes by our routing.
Driving? Check the 2.2 m height limit on the valet before you arrive.
No ride is listed for this leg either — it's the same taxi.
Flying in on sail day? Skip W. The airport page covers the rides.
Distance
~13.5 road mi to the cruise terminal, our routingW's page gives no terminal distance, so this one is ours: about 13.5 road miles (21.8 km), 29 minutes with no traffic.

Ship shuttle not statedThe taxi is yours to book — the private transfer Marriott lists covers the airport only.
Source: marriott.comA late swim, a noon check-out
A swim, a Lex breakfast and a noon check-out are the shape of the morning, and the taxi is the one loose end.
Swim at WET, which Marriott says is open 24 hours, and eat at The Lex in the morning.
Ask the desk whether the private transfer can be pointed at the terminal, then book a taxi if it can't.
Breakfast is the Lex buffet — no price is printed, and the page doesn't say if it's in the rate.
That's 13.5 road miles by our routing, one of the longer rides on the list.
The valet at W is A$70 a day; Wilson's P2 lot at the terminal is A$34 a day (about US$25), prepaid, as of Oct 6, 2026.
