The Langham asks you to take two awards on trust. It states a Michelin Key Award for 2025 and a place in Forbes Australia's Top Hotels 2026. Neither has been checked against its list by us — they're the hotel's claims.
On our road routing Kent Street is 0.8 road miles (1.2 km) from the Overseas Passenger Terminal, about 3 minutes with no traffic, and 3.0 from White Bay Cruise Terminal, which makes it the closest of the eight splurges to a terminal. The hotel's page prints no distance and no ride.
Where it counts, the rest of the page is blank: in what we read there's no restaurant, bar, pool, parking, breakfast or check-in detail.
I'd book it for the address and the claimed Key, and ask about breakfast and a car before paying.
Book it if
- The Michelin Key, per the hotel, is the reason you're looking.
- You'd rather sleep on the Walsh Bay side, at Kent Street in Millers Point.
- You're happy to ask the hotel about every detail first instead of finding the gaps at the desk.
Look elsewhere if
- A named restaurant or pool has to be on the page before you commit.
- You need a parking rate or breakfast terms today.
- You want the awards checked before you trust them.
What The Langham offers, and what it leaves out
Here's The Langham as its own page tells it: green is stated, gold costs extra or has a catch, grey is silence.
A Kent Street night, then a 3-minute taxi
The Langham's own page for the night, and our routing for the ride.
Check-in times aren't printed either, so ask when your room will be ready.
The page lists no ride, so ask the concierge for a car timed to your check-in window.
Ask whether breakfast is in the rate — the page doesn't say.
On empty roads it's short, but leave when your check-in window says, not when the clock does.
The hotel lists no parking and the terminal has none on cruise days, so a car needs another plan.
Kent Street to the ship, and the airport on the way in
Pick where you start. From Kent Street the Overseas Passenger Terminal is a short taxi ride, and every ride is one you arrange.
No airport transfer is mentioned on the page we read.
No ride to a terminal is listed either.
Our routing: about 0.8 road miles to the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
From SYD without a hotel shuttle
The Langham lists no airport car. From Sydney Airport it's 8.4 road miles (13.5 km) by our routing, roughly 16 minutes, and the airport page sets the train beside the taxi.
Driving? The page states no guest parking.
Nothing listed here either, so ask the concierge.
The Overseas Passenger Terminal is the near one; White Bay is 3.0 road miles on our routing.
Landing on sail day? Then The Langham isn't for you — the airport page times the train or a taxi against your check-in window.

Guest parking not statedNothing about parking appears on the page we read.
Source: langhamhotels.comParking for the cruise
No parking at the terminal on cruise daysThe terminals won't hold your car. At the Overseas Passenger Terminal the Port Authority lists no parking on cruise days, and White Bay's drop-off car park is capped at 15 minutes, which leaves Wilson Parking. Its cruise rates near both run A$20 to A$51 (about US$14–35) a day; no currency is named, so we read Australian dollars. Sydney cruise parking covers both terminals.
