The Russell Boutique Hotel
Its own page names the cruise terminal and a five-minute walk, which no other hotel here does. By road it's about 0.9 miles to the Overseas Passenger Terminal on our routing.
Pre-Cruise Hotels · Sydney
Eighteen hotels for a Sydney cruise, scored on what gets you to a terminal, not on reviews. Only The Russell names the cruise terminal, five minutes on foot by its own page; no hotel publishes a cruise shuttle or luggage forwarding, so distance, a station and breakfast decide the rest.
Three taps and we’ll show your three picks.
Change any answer and the picks change with it. They’re built from the same published facts as the ranking below. No hotel pays for a place here. Booking.com links earn us a commission, and they don’t change the order.
Your answers are weighed against what each hotel publishes on shuttles, parking, breakfast, pools, beaches, kitchens and pets.
Five answers build the whole night: the hotel, the ride in, the ride to the ship, what happens to the car, when to leave and how you get home. Every figure is one the hotel, the port or the company publishes, and where nobody publishes a number you’ll see the gap, not a guess.
Who’s coming and the mood carry over from Your Match, so the plan uses the same answers.
Partner links (rental cars) may earn Seabound Journeys a commission at no extra cost to you. They don't change the plan, which is built only from what each company publishes.
The Russell leads on one thing no other page offers — it names the cruise terminal and a five-minute walk. Novotel City Centre is 25 points back, a minute from Wynyard station. Harbour Rocks is third, and it’s the nearest bed by road at 0.6 miles from the Overseas Passenger Terminal by our routing.
If White Bay is your pier, ibis Darling Harbour is the nearest bed at 1.7 road miles, and No. 1 is 3.1. Your boarding document names the terminal. Ask us and we’ll pick the hotel for it.
Filter by what the night needs and tick up to three hotels to compare side by side. We set the order, and the shortlist is yours.
We read the pages of 28 hotels. Eighteen are ranked here, two had too little on their pages to score, and eight grander ones are on the splurge list. None of the eighteen runs a shuttle to the ship, and two have a station their own page names.

The concierge handles luggage storage, and Sailmaker serves a buffet, on Sussex Street. About 2.0 road miles to the Overseas Passenger Terminal by our routing.
Rooms hold three at most, which rules out bigger groups. A wine bar and a restaurant at Darling Square, and about 2.0 road miles to the Overseas Passenger Terminal by our routing.
A rooftop pool and sauna at the Central end of George Street, and White Bay Cruise Terminal about 2.5 road miles away on our routing.
Dogs up to 20 kg are welcome, and the car-park rate and height limit are both published. The Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 1.7 road miles away by our routing.
Breakfast for Executive guests and a family package, at the George Street Hilton, about 1.9 road miles from the Overseas Passenger Terminal on our routing.
The car-park rate is published, and so is a private airport car, across 558 rooms facing Hyde Park. The Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 2.0 road miles away by our routing.
Four bars and restaurants at Darling Harbour, and one sits by a pool the page never lists. About 2.5 road miles to the Overseas Passenger Terminal on our routing.
Fifteen minutes on foot from Circular Quay by Accor's count, at the Hyde Park end of town, and about 2.3 road miles from the Overseas Passenger Terminal by our routing.
No hotel on the list has all of those. Try dropping one filter.
Booking.com lists airport taxis you can book ahead. Check the pickup point, the price and the cancellation terms before you book.
Booking.com links are affiliate links: Seabound Journeys may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It doesn’t change what we recommend. Affiliate disclosure.
Choose how you’re arriving. The board counts what the hotels publish, the matching column of the table lights up, and the companies below handle the airport-to-port leg.
None of the eighteen publishes a free airport shuttle. One, Sheraton Grand, lists a private car at A$140 (about US$100) each way.
Sydney Airport · about 9.1 road miles (14.6 km) to the Overseas Passenger Terminal, our routing; Transport NSW prints a fixed A$60 (about US$40) airport-to-CBD taxi fare, which may not cover a terminal
Transport NSW prints a fixed fare of A$60 between Sydney Airport and the CBD for a standard taxi, and A$80 (about US$55) for a maxi taxi with five or more people, dated from 3 November 2025. Whether a cruise terminal counts as the CBD is unconfirmed.
On the meter: a A$5.17 (about US$4) hire charge and A$2.61 (about US$2) a km for the first 12 km, A$2.37 (about US$2) after that, with night, peak, service-levy and toll extras (the page was modified on 1 June 2026). The airport's own page puts a taxi or rideshare to the CBD at about A$45 to A$55 (about US$30–40) one way, and Holland America says about A$80 to the terminals.
Those three figures disagree and we haven't resolved them.
The drive is 14.6 km (9.1 miles) and about 20 minutes to the Overseas Passenger Terminal, and 10.1 km and about 14 minutes to White Bay, with no traffic.
Rideshare sits beside taxis on the airport’s page, at about A$45 to A$55 one way to the CBD. We read no app’s fare page, so we price no terminal run.
Both terminals limit a drop-off to two or three minutes, the Port Authority saying two and Royal Caribbean three — so ask your driver to use the signed drop-off zone.
Transport NSW and the airport's page say the Airport Link runs about every ten minutes, about 13 minutes from the city, from 5 am to midnight, seven days. Getting on or off at the airport stations adds a station access fee.
The fee is A$18.61 an adult trip, capped at A$37.75 (about US$25) a week, on one Transport NSW page, and A$17.92 in a 2026 fares brochure that looks like an older edition. Neither is confirmed, so check the fee on Transport NSW before you plan on it. On top comes a distance-based Opal fare to Circular Quay; the 2025 tables we found are superseded, Transport NSW says fares changed again from 29 June 2026, and we haven't confirmed the current ones.
Circular Quay is the station for the Overseas Passenger Terminal, and the Port Authority says Wynyard is about ten minutes on foot from it.
White Bay's page lists no train, bus or ferry route.
DART Express runs direct transfers from Terminal 1 to Central, Hyde Park, Kings Cross, Darling Harbour and The Rocks, per the airport’s page. We read no price or timetable; The Rocks is the stop nearest the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Holland America and Royal Caribbean each give a driving time from the airport to the terminals — and their figures differ from each other and from our routing: Holland America says about 30 minutes and about A$80 by taxi or rideshare, Royal Caribbean says about 35 minutes to the Overseas Passenger Terminal and about 25 to White Bay. We read no line's priced airport transfer for Sydney.
Discover Cars' Sydney page showed economy cars from about A$20.36 a day in Australian dollars on October 6, 2026, a price that changes with dates, and noted that many offers use a free shuttle from the airport. Sixt has a counter in the arrivals halls; Europcar's collection is by the car parks.
Skip the car for the night before — the Overseas Passenger Terminal has no parking on cruise days, per the Port Authority, and White Bay has only a drop-off car park with a 15-minute limit.
Drive on the left.
The Overseas Passenger Terminal has Bounce storage nearby, per the Port Authority, with drop-off from about 9 am to about 90 minutes before departure. White Bay has none at or beside the terminal and closes bag drop an hour before departure.
Holland America also warns there's no luggage storage at the pier.
We found no Bounce price.
Taking the train? The column to watch is “By train”. It marks the hotels with a station a short walk away that the Port Authority names for a terminal, and the ride math is further down. Driving instead? Sydney cruise parking has the terminal lots.
| Hotel | To the ship | By train | From Sydney Airport |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walk to the ship, per the hotel | Station five minutes away | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)The airport line, T8, runs direct to Circular Quay, the page says, and taxis and ride-hailing are available. It lists no airport transfer. To the shipThe page names the cruise terminal and a five-minute walk to it. Private shuttles are offered on request, with no price, booking rule or word on whether they serve the terminal — so we score the walk and not the shuttle. By trainThe page puts Circular Quay’s train, ferry, light-rail and bus stops five minutes away. The Port Authority names that station for the terminal, and the hotel adds that the T8 airport line runs direct to it. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Station a minute away | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor says Wynyard station is a one-minute walk and gives direct train access to the airport. No airport shuttle is listed. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed. The Port Authority is the better guide: ten minutes on foot from Wynyard, or about 4 minutes by taxi from the York Street door on our routing. By trainAccor puts Wynyard a minute’s walk off and says the hotel has direct train access to the airport; the Port Authority’s terminal page names Wynyard as a station to walk from, about ten minutes along George Street. That's a walk after the train, not a train to the door, so it earns the middle score. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Nothing on the page we read says how to get from the airport. To the shipThe page lists no ride to a terminal; a taxi to the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 2 minutes on our routing. By trainNo station and no walking time on the page — so we can't tie it to a terminal's rail stop. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor puts Sydney Airport 12.4 km away and lists no shuttle. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed, though by our routing the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 2 minutes away by taxi. By trainAccor's half mile to Circular Quay is past our 0.4-mile line and it names no station, so there's no rail point here. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | No shuttlethe hotel says so | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Marriott says the hotel provides no airport shuttle and puts Sydney Airport 8.9 km away. To the shipNothing is listed for a ride to a terminal; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 4 minutes away by taxi on our routing. By trainThe pages we read name no station and give no walking time. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor's page points to a short taxi or shuttle ride and names no hotel service. Its brand page says taxis and paid shuttles are readily available. To the shipA shuttle appears in Accor’s summary, yet the Pullman brand page says only that taxis and paid shuttles are readily available, so no hotel ride counts here. Our routing puts the Overseas Passenger Terminal about 5 minutes off by taxi. By trainAccor names Circular Quay as a place, not a station — so we leave the rail points off. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | No shuttlethe hotel says so | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Adina says it has no pick-up service and points to a partner shuttle bookable through TFE Hotels' site. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is on the page; by our routing a taxi to the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 5 minutes. By trainNo station is named, and no walking time is given. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)QT calls the hotel a short drive from Sydney Airport and lists no service. To the shipNothing is listed for a ride to a terminal. By taxi, our routing has the Overseas Passenger Terminal about 5 minutes away. By trainIt names no station and gives no walking time. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor’s page puts a taxi to the airport at about A$15 (about US$10) for 12 km and 15 minutes, which sits badly beside Transport NSW’s fixed A$60 fare, so don’t lean on the estimate. No shuttle is listed. To the shipThe page lists no ride to a terminal, and White Bay Cruise Terminal is about 5 minutes away by taxi on our routing. By trainAccor names no station, and White Bay’s own page lists no train, bus or ferry route, so no rail points are awarded. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor gives Sydney Airport as 11 km and a 16-minute drive and lists no shuttle. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed either. On our routing White Bay Cruise Terminal is about 5 minutes away by taxi. By trainNo station is named by Accor, and the Port Authority’s White Bay page lists no train, bus or ferry route to point to. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Hyatt lists no hotel shuttle, and says the concierge can help arrange transport. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed — the concierge can help arrange transport, per Hyatt, and a taxi to the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 7 minutes on our routing. By trainThe page names no station, and Hyatt's parking and transport sub-pages returned no text to our research tool. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Nothing on airport transport from Accor's page. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 7 minutes away by taxi on our routing. By trainThe page names no station and gives no walking time. | |||
| Shuttle not stated | Rail link not documented | Not stated | |
Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor's page is silent on airport transport. To the shipThe page lists no ride to a terminal. White Bay Cruise Terminal is about 7 minutes by taxi on our routing. By trainAccor names no station either, and the Port Authority’s White Bay page lists no train, bus or ferry route. | |||

Sydney Airport (SYD)Marriott lists no shuttle and offers a private airport car through Brunel Worldwide at A$140 each way on request. To the shipMarriott lists no ride either, and the Overseas Passenger Terminal is about 7 minutes away by taxi on our routing. By trainNothing on a station or a walk. | |||

Sydney Airport (SYD)Accor lists no way to the airport. To the shipNo ride to a terminal is listed. Our routing puts the Overseas Passenger Terminal about 9 minutes away by taxi. By trainAccor names Circular Quay as a place, and its fifteen minutes on foot is past our station line — so there are no rail points. | |||
These eighteen are ranked for an easy sail morning, not for the room. If the room is the point, Sydney’s grand hotels sit in The Rocks, on George and Phillip Streets and around Circular Quay.
Capella’s own page states a place at No. 16 on the 50 Best Hotels 2026 list, and The Langham’s states a Michelin Key for 2025 — we print those as the hotels’ claims, not our checks.
Each distance runs by road, with no traffic, to the nearer of Esri’s points for the two terminals, the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay West or White Bay Cruise Terminal on James Craig Road, and never to a particular gangway. Nobody walks from the CBD to White Bay, which is why we measure by road. Each hotel page also gives the road miles to the other terminal and to Sydney Airport.
Three hotels are within about 0.9 road miles, all in The Rocks. Five are 1.1 to 1.5 miles out, around Circular Quay and the northern CBD and, for Adina, on the east side of Darling Harbour. Seven are 1.7 to 2.0 miles out, mostly in Darling Harbour, Pyrmont and Haymarket and along George and Elizabeth Streets — and three are 2.3 to 2.5, at the Central and Hyde Park end and on Darling Drive. Almost every hotel is nearer the Overseas Passenger Terminal — only ibis Darling Harbour, Novotel Darling Harbour and Mercure Sydney are nearer White Bay, and none is closer than 1.7 road miles to it. Our research had no budget hotels and nothing on the White Bay side, in Balmain, Pyrmont or Rozelle, so this list leans to the CBD and the Circular Quay side.
Pins carry the ranking number. Position shows where each hotel sits, and the bands group them by distance, as the score does.
Five things settle a Sydney night before. The ride to the nearer terminal does most of the work, and every point comes from the hotel’s own site or its brand’s.
Silence scores zero, not a guess. Booking sites don’t count. A distance to a station, a harbour or “the city” isn’t a distance to a cruise terminal.
By band, from the nearer terminal by road: up to 1.0 mile 30; 1.1 to 1.6 miles 25; 1.7 to 2.1 miles 20; over 2.1 miles 15. The farthest hotels are about 2.5 road miles out.
A transfer the hotel runs or arranges, with a published price, 25. A ride only inside a package 20.
The hotel’s own ride with no published fare 15. A walk to the cruise terminal that the hotel’s own page states, or half a mile or less by our road routing, 15. A named partner 10.
In Sydney only The Russell scores here, for its stated walk.
Its private shuttle on request has no price or terms — so it earns nothing, and no other hotel publishes a ride to either terminal.
The ride component stands where parking would, on the same 20 points. A transfer or luggage hand-off to a terminal that the hotel runs or arranges scores 20, and nobody has one.
12 for a documented station — one the hotel’s own page puts within about 0.4 mile (seven minutes on foot or less) that the Port Authority names as a way in to the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Circular Quay earns it for The Russell, and Wynyard, which the Port Authority puts about ten minutes on foot from the terminal, for Novotel Sydney City Centre. 0 for anything undocumented.
White Bay’s page lists no train, bus or ferry route, so no hotel earns RIDE points for that terminal.
Pullman Quay Grand puts Circular Quay 400 m away but names it as a place, not a station, and the Sebel’s half mile is past our line — so neither scores.
A breakfast the hotel says is included for every guest scores 10. Nobody in Sydney says so.
Four hotels say breakfast comes with some rooms, bookings or packages and are marked that way without points — the rest sell it or don’t say.
The evening is worth 5 for a pool, 5 for food or a bar on site and 5 for a kitchen in the room. No hotel’s page we read lists a kitchen in the room, so nobody earns that five, and Mercure’s rooftop pool is the only pool.
The station facts behind the RIDE points come from each hotel’s own page and the Port Authority’s Overseas Passenger Terminal page, read October 6, 2026. We didn’t read train timetables, so check the day’s service.
Two hotels earn the 12.
Ties are broken in order: any stated way to the ship, free breakfast, the shorter road distance to the nearer terminal by our routing, then the alphabet. Five tie on 30: Sebel Quay West, Harbour Marriott, Pullman Quay Grand, Adina Darling Harbour and QT Sydney, ordered by road miles to the nearer terminal.
Five tie on 25: ibis Darling Harbour, Novotel Darling Harbour, Hyatt Regency, Novotel Darling Square and Mercure Sydney, ordered by road miles to the nearer terminal.
Four tie on 20: Crowne Plaza, Hilton Sydney, Sheraton Grand and Sofitel Darling Harbour, ordered by road miles to the nearer terminal.
Rates aren’t scored, because a room rate tells you nothing in another season, and review scores aren’t either. No hotel’s own pages state an official star category that we found, so none is printed.
Eighteen open hotels were documented well enough to score, which is why the list stops there; the rest are in the table below with the reasons.
Parking isn't what decides a Sydney night, so it isn't scored. What does count is whether a documented station sits close to the hotel and the Port Authority names it as a way in to the terminal.
The Overseas Passenger Terminal. The Port Authority’s page names Circular Quay for the train, a ferry wharf 450 m away and the L2 and L3 light-rail lines, with buses via Elizabeth Street, and says Wynyard is about ten minutes on foot. Opal fares to Circular Quay aren’t confirmed — the tables we found date from 2025 and Transport NSW says fares changed again on 29 June 2026.
Taxis rank on George Street, at the terminal and on Alfred Street — with a disembarkation rank on level 3 via Hickson Road; Holland America warns waits can reach an hour.
White Bay Cruise Terminal. The Port Authority’s page lists no train, bus, light-rail or ferry route. A taxi rank is directly outside, staff guide coach and bus pickups for airport transfers, cruise-day vehicle access is by James Craig Road and The Crescent only, and pedestrians and cyclists may use the Robert Street gate on any day.
Wilson Parking calls its White Bay car parks a short taxi or ferry away.
The hotels with a station. What each one prints:
| Hotel | The link |
|---|---|
| The Russell | Circular Quay’s train, ferry, light-rail and bus stops are five minutes off, per the page, and the Port Authority names it as the terminal’s train stop. |
| Novotel City Centre | Accor says Wynyard station is a one-minute walk and that the hotel has direct train access to the airport. |
Driving instead? The terminal garages and the sums are in Sydney cruise parking, compared.
We read the pages of 28 hotels. Eighteen are ranked, two had too little on their pages to score and eight are on the splurge list. The table also lists names we couldn’t verify or didn’t read, and says where our research didn’t reach. Eight grander hotels, from Park Hyatt to Sofitel Wentworth, are on the splurge list.
| Hotel | Why it isn’t in the eighteen |
|---|---|
| Hotel Palisade, Millers Point | Our research tool got an address, a phone number, an open status and two venue names (Henry Deane, closed Mondays, and the Public House). It couldn't confirm the operator, and nothing else came back: no check-in, parking, distance or breakfast. Too thin to score. |
| Kimpton Margot Sydney | The directions page gave an address, a phone number, check-in at 3 pm and check-out at 11 am, and a line that there's no airport shuttle. No parking price, no distance, no dining. Too thin to score. |
| Sir Stamford at Circular Quay | Not verified: the Stamford Land page returned a 404, so we left it off. |
| Rydges Sydney Harbour (The Rocks) | Not verified: the Rydges page returned a 404 and our search didn't confirm it's open under that name. |
| Holiday Inn Sydney Darling Harbour | Not read: IHG's page returned a generic template with no facts, so we can't say anything about it. |
| Holiday Inn Express in the CBD | None found: IHG's Sydney search showed only an Airport and a Macquarie Park Express. |
| Four Points by Sheraton Central Park, Holiday Inn Potts Point, The Sebel Darling Harbour, Rendezvous The Rocks and the former Holiday Inn Old Sydney | Seen in listings, not read. We ran out of research budget before opening their pages. |
| Budget and White Bay-side hotels in Balmain, Pyrmont and Rozelle (Ovolo, Meriton, Wake Up, YHA) | Not researched. Our research didn't cover the budget end or the streets around White Bay, so this list leans to the CBD and the Circular Quay side. |
Sydney Airport (SYD) is the one airport you need: 14.6 km and 20 minutes from the Overseas Passenger Terminal by our routing with no traffic, and 10.1 km (6.3 miles) from White Bay.
Holland America puts the drive at about 30 minutes, and Royal Caribbean at about 35 to the Overseas Passenger Terminal and 25 to White Bay — both longer than our routing.
None of the eighteen is near the airport — so the night before is a city night. If you’d rather sleep by the runway, we researched nothing there.
The Getting There table shows what every hotel publishes; the airport page has the taxi, the train, the fixed fare and the fee conflict.

On our scoring it's The Russell, with 62 of 100: its own page names the cruise terminal and a five-minute walk to it — and puts the Circular Quay stations five minutes away. By our routing it's about 0.9 road miles from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Novotel City Centre is second with 37 and Harbour Rocks third with 35.
The Russell's lead is mostly the walk and the station — none of the eighteen publishes a cruise shuttle.
Sydney has two cruise terminals: the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT), on the corner of Argyle and George Streets at Circular Quay West in The Rocks, and White Bay Cruise Terminal on James Craig Road in Rozelle.
Carnival Adventure appears at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on 8 October and at White Bay on 12 October in the part of the Port Authority’s October 2026 schedule that we read, so we pair no line with a terminal.
Your cruise documents decide.
Only The Russell says so — its own page puts the cruise terminal five minutes away on foot, and our routing gives 0.9 miles by road. No other hotel prints a walk to a terminal.
Harbour Rocks, at 0.6 road miles, and the Sebel, at 0.7, are the next nearest by road, and we score a walk only where a hotel says so or the road is half a mile or less.
White Bay is across the city: the nearest hotel to it is ibis Darling Harbour, 1.7 road miles by our routing.
Yes, to Circular Quay, the Port Authority’s named train stop for the Overseas Passenger Terminal; Wynyard is the alternative, about ten minutes on foot. Two of our eighteen have a station within about 0.4 mile that their own page names: The Russell (Circular Quay) and Novotel Sydney City Centre (Wynyard).
White Bay Cruise Terminal's page lists no train, bus, light-rail or ferry route — so we can't name one.
We don’t score parking, because it isn’t what decides a night in Sydney — the car-park limits at both terminals are in the Getting There section above.
Guest parking prints at A$41 to A$110 (about US$30–75) a day at the hotels that print a rate, with Marriott's valet the highest — none of them says a cruise car qualifies.
Wilson Parking lists cruise parking at car parks near both terminals, and its page doesn't name the currency, so we read the rates as Australian dollars.
Only two of our eighteen print a nightly rate at all: Harbour Rocks, at A$399 to A$499 (about US$280–350), and Adina Darling Harbour, from A$271.26 (about US$190). Neither says whether tax is included.
We call GST included only where a hotel’s page prints it, and none of these does.
No official source we read confirms a city accommodation tax, so we print none, and we aren’t saying there isn’t one.
Check the total at booking.
None of our eighteen runs a free one from Sydney Airport. Sydney Airport has no hotel in our eighteen near enough to need one — from the airport it's the Airport Link train, a taxi from the rank, or a pre-booked car.
The Port Authority's schedule, which we read for October 2026 only, lists ship calls and doesn't say which are turnarounds. It has Crown Princess at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on 7 October, Carnival Adventure there on 8 October and at White Bay on 12 October, Carnival Splendor at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on 9 and 12 October, and Celebrity Edge there on 17 October.
Because one ship uses both terminals, we don't pair lines with terminals.
Our Sydney cruise guide has the lines.
Prices shift with the date and the season, so a rate can’t anchor a ranking that has to hold all year. Only two of these hotels print a nightly rate anyway, so we score what stays put: the distance to the ship, the station, breakfast and the evening.
Brisbane and Melbourne have lists of their own: Brisbane hotels, Brisbane splurge, Brisbane airport, Melbourne hotels, Melbourne splurge and Melbourne airport. For the wider picture there’s Australia and New Zealand Cruises, Decoded, and for the port, the Sydney cruise port page.
