None of the seven prints a ride to the ship, and in the centre you won’t miss it. By our routing the Savoia Excelsior is about 0.1 miles on foot from the Stazione Marittima and the Duchi d’Aosta about 0.2; Seven Historical Suites and the DoubleTree are a little over half a mile.
The resorts are a different morning. Riviera & Maximilian’s is about 5.8 road miles from the ship, Tivoli about 11.5 and Castello di Spessa about 35.6 — taxis booked the night before, not walks.
Parking is where prices stay hidden. Tivoli prints €20 a night; the city hotels offer valet or a garage without a number. TTP’s official cruise parking is booked on its site, priced only inside the portal.
The tourist tax comes on top, and in Trieste it follows the stars. The city’s 2026 table puts the 5-star Duchi at €3.80 (about US$4) a person a night and the 4-star Savoia, DoubleTree and Riviera at €3.30 (about US$4), for up to five nights in a row. Tivoli and Castello di Spessa sit in other towns with their own rules. Exemptions apply — check before you count on one.
