Start with the wharf, because it decides how far the nearest counter really is.
Before you book
Nobody hands you keys at the ship in Québec City. We found no rental desk at Terminal 84 or Terminal 30, and the Port’s own customer-service page lists the rental companies by phone number, not by counter. Every pick-up starts with a walk or a cab — sometimes both.
Terminal 84 (the Ross-Gaudreault terminal at Pointe-à-Carcy, wharves 21 and 22): 84 Dalhousie St., Québec City, QC G1R 4M8, per the Port. On the Port’s schedule PDF, Holland America and Cunard turn around there.
Terminal 30 (the Estuary, wharf 30): 300 De L’Estuaire St., G1K 8M8, per the Port. The Port runs a shuttle for passengers and crew at Wharf 30; vehicle access there is restricted during the cruise season, which matters the moment a rental is involved.
The Port also lists a wharf at Lévis (Wharf 81, 6075 Saint-Laurent St.), across the river. None of the remaining 2026 turnarounds on the Port’s PDF is listed there — treat it as a name to recognize, not a plan to make.
Which wharf your ship gets is less settled than you’d hope. On the Port’s 2026 schedule PDF, Holland America’s Zuiderdam and Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 turn around at wharf 22 (Terminal 84) and Explora III at wharf 30; Princess and Norwegian appear at both, and the Port’s web schedule and PDF disagree on several days — check your own sailing.
Princess says its Québec cruises leave from the Ross Gaudreault terminal, yet the Port’s schedule puts Sapphire Princess at wharf 30 on Oct 22–23. Two official sources, two answers — go by your line’s final documents, not the Port’s web page alone.
The Port’s customer-service page lists Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise and National/Alamo by phone; none has a desk at either terminal.
