One official lot, and three prices for it
Cruise Port Rotterdam runs the cruise parking on the quay in front of the ss Rotterdam, in Katendrecht. It’s about 1.8 road miles (2.9 km) from the terminal by our routing, or about 1.1 miles on foot over the Rijnhaven.
The cruise lot at the ss Rotterdam
- 3e Katendrechtsehoofd 25, 3072 AM, in front of the ship
- No reservations; the port says there are enough spaces
- Pay when you’re back, at the ss Rotterdam’s reception on the Main Deck, cash or card
- Free shuttle to the terminal for boarding passengers
The same lot, other numbers
- The ss Rotterdam’s own pages: €4 (about US$4) an hour and €22 for a 24-hour ticket, about 580 spaces
- MSC’s Rotterdam page: €13 per 24 hours, with the shuttle
- The hotel’s figure may be its general tariff, not the cruise one; it doesn’t say
- We go by the port, which runs the cruise parking

The port’s rules, in its own words
From Cruise Port Rotterdam’s parking page, the operator’s own, not a reseller’s.
- “€ 19 euro per 24 uur” — €19 per 24 hours
- “Reserveren van een parkeerplaats is niet mogelijk” — you can’t reserve a space
- Bring your boarding pass and the parking ticket to collect the car
- Camera surveillance, and you park at your own risk
- No height limit is printed; ask the port if you’re in a camper or a tall van

Garages in town, and the one package
We didn’t find a city garage selling a cruise rate. The figures below are what hotels print for their own guests — mostly day rates. A week at €35 (about US$40) or €40 (about US$45) a day costs far more than the port’s lot.
Use them for the night before.
Hotel New York has had no parking of its own since October 2023. It sends drivers to the World Port Center garage next door — booking online is cheaper than driving in, per the hotel, which doesn’t print the price.
| Hotel | What it prints | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Van der Valk Blijdorp | Park, Sleep & Fly: parking and a transfer to the terminal, from €89.34 (about US$100) a person | Tourist tax included, per the hotel; the number of days the car can stay isn't stated. |
| Rotterdam Marriott | Off-site garage 0.1 km away, €31.00 (about US$35) a day or €192.50 (about US$215) a week | The one weekly rate we found, though Marriott doesn’t sell it as cruise parking. |
| NH Atlanta | Off-site, €29.50 (about US$35) a day | NH also names Park and Ride Kralingse Zoom, €18 (about US$20) a day for up to 72 hours, too short for most cruises. |
| nhow Rotterdam | Q-Park De Rotterdam, €40.00 (about US$45) a day | Covered, on the Wilhelminapier; nothing says the rate runs for a week. |
| Pincoffs | €27.50 (about US$30) a night, 3 pm to noon | An overnight space, not a cruise week. |
Every hotel figure is as the hotel or its brand printed it on October 4, 2026; the full list is in our twenty hotels.
A ride instead
Skip the car and the terminal is easy. From Rotterdam Centraal, metro D or E runs four stops to Wilhelminaplein — Holland America calls it a four-minute walk from there.
Trams 3 and 5 stop there too. Works at Hofplein divert many lines until November 22, 2026.
From Schiphol, the Intercity direct reaches Centraal in 26 minutes, per NS. A taxi for the whole trip is about €95 (about US$105) by Holland America’s estimate.
Two transfer companies quoted €123 to €138 (about US$140–155) for a sedan — the estimate is a floor, not a fare.
Who should pick what
| Traveler | Likely best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Driving in on sail day | The port’s lot at the ss Rotterdam | The official cruise parking, €19 a day, with the shuttle. |
| Driving in the night before | Van der Valk Blijdorp’s package, or the ss Rotterdam itself | The package includes the transfer; at the ss Rotterdam the lot is outside your door. |
| A long cruise | The port’s lot | The hotel garages we found charge by the day, and Kralingse Zoom stops at 72 hours. |
| Flying into Schiphol | No car at all | The train and the metro get you to Wilhelminaplein. |

Are there park-and-cruise hotel packages in Rotterdam?
One that we found, and it’s a one-night package. Van der Valk Blijdorp’s Park, Sleep & Fly lists one night, a breakfast, parking for one car and a ride to the terminal from €89.34 a person, tourist tax included. It doesn’t say the car can stay while you sail, so email the hotel before you book, and plan on the port’s €19-a-day lot if it can’t.
