What one Seaport night adds when a car comes along
A Logan car parked one night at the Westin comes to about $238 for two on our assumptions — $55 of it the garage. The $40 destination fee comes with the room either way, so don’t count it against the car. Unless a day trip needs wheels, the Seaport is close enough to the ship that the garage buys you very little.
Bring a car into the Seaport if
- Salem, Plymouth or Concord fills the day before
- You’re driving in from out of state anyway
- The garage costs less than the rides it replaces
Leave it at the counter if
- The plan is the hotel, dinner and the ship
- You’d park it two nights for one short drive
- You hoped the hotel would keep it through the cruise, which no Seaport page we read offers

Each hotel’s own page, Oct 1, 2026. “Not on the page we read” means we didn’t see one, not that the hotel charges none. Checked Oct 1, 2026
The range runs from $45 to self-park at the Residence Inn to $70 for valet at the Omni and the Boston Harbor Hotel. The Hampton Inn ($62) and the Renaissance ($65) list valet only — no self-park option at either.
The Seaport Hotel’s $59 valet includes in-and-out, so a day trip doesn’t bring a second charge.
Taller than 6 feet 6 inches? The Boston Harbor Hotel parks you off site.
Two more hotels point you to a garage next door. The Envoy on Sleeper Street has no garage of its own and points to One Seaport Garage, 0.1 miles away, without a rate; the Residence Inn names Stilling’s Garage, also 0.1 miles, as its overflow.
Choosing a room rather than a car? Our Boston cruise hotels page ranks them, and the splurge list covers the high end.
The $40 that arrives with or without a car
The Westin charges a $40 daily destination fee and the Omni a $35 daily destination charge, both on top of parking.
Both are charges on the room, not on the car, so you pay them whether the rental comes or not.
They belong in the hotel comparison — the rental math leaves them out.
Where they bite is the night’s total — at the Westin, self-parking plus the fee is $95 a day before any tax, and at the Omni, valet plus the fee is $105.
The Westin’s page dates its fee from Jan 1, 2026 and adds tax on top of it, so the $40 is a floor.
Read the fee line on the booking page of any hotel you’re weighing. We found these two in what we read, and can’t vouch for the rest.
Logan to the Westin, one night, priced
Two of you, a car from Logan, one night at a Seaport hotel, returned before you board. Change the garage to your hotel’s.
The rental, line by line
We start from the lowest Logan listing Discover Cars showed on Oct 1, 2026; switch to the city row if you’d collect downtown. The airport page explains why the headline said less. Massachusetts’ tax and contract fees and Logan’s own charges are in, itemised on the hub. Fuel covers about 15 miles, our estimate for the airport run and a short drive, at AAA’s Boston average for Oct 1, 2026. Parking is the Westin’s $55 self-park — put your hotel’s in. The destination fee stays out, because you’d pay it without a car.
One night comes to about $238 on our numbers, and the garage is the line you control.
A downtown pick-up at Discover Cars’ lowest Boston listing is about $213, with no airport charges and the same garage.
Make it two nights and the Logan version is about $462, with $110 of that in parking.
Hold any of those against a couple of MBTA fares.
Back Bay: desks at the station, garage rates we couldn’t find
Back Bay sits about 3.1 miles from the cruiseport by our estimate — a cab ride, not a walk.
The one Back Bay hotel garage we read was the Westin Copley Place’s: valet only, $70 a day, and $90 for an oversize vehicle. One hotel isn’t a range, so we won’t print one.
What Back Bay does have is rental desks, and two sit in one garage. Avis in the Back Bay Station garage at 100 Clarendon Street opens 7 to 7 daily, and Budget beside it opens 7 to 5 on Sundays.
Enterprise works from the 5th and 6th floors of the Revere Hotel at 200 Stuart Street, and Hertz keeps a Westin Copley desk open 8 to 3:30.
So in Back Bay, collect the car the morning you need it — that skips a garage night before you’ve driven anywhere.
From a Seaport lobby to the gangway without a car
Hilton lists its Hampton Inn Seaport at “0 miles” from the cruise terminal. That’s the extreme case — most of the Seaport hotels above sit within a short cab ride of the pier.
Walking with cruise luggage is the real test, not the distance. A cab or rideshare from the lobby is the usual answer, and it costs a fraction of a garage night.
The bus works too, and MBTA fares and the SL2’s stop are on the decision page, with the pier’s drop-off rules.
Planning Salem the day before, in October? The city’s own advice is to skip the drive, and the day-trips page has the train.
Can the car stay at the hotel while you sail?
None of the Seaport hotel pages we read offers a park-and-cruise package. That’s the gap a car-carrying cruiser runs into the night before.
Our Boston hotel pages record two airport-side hotels that do. Holiday Inn Logan Chelsea lists a Park & Fly package from $10 a night, and Four Points Revere $25 a day after checkout — both second-hand, so confirm with the hotel.
The port’s own lots are the other route, at rates we could only find second-hand. The hub’s parking section covers them and the address conflict.
Keep a Logan car through a 7-night cruise — nine rental days, the Westin night and a week in a cruise lot — and it comes to about $1,766 on our numbers. Return it, and rent again after if you need one.
Boston cruise parking tracks the lot question for drivers bringing their own car.
Collect the car the morning you’re back
If the trip needs a car at all, price it from the morning you get off the ship, not the night before you board.
Run a Seaport or downtown desk for that day, then Logan, and compare the totals with the $10 Boston surcharge in both.
- Pick-up: a Seaport or downtown desk
- Drop-off: Logan, or where you finish
- Taxes and fees shown before you pay
- Free cancellation until 48 hrs before
