La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Palm Beach Airport
The one hotel we read that publishes a ride to the Port of Palm Beach, weekdays 10:30 to 5:30, with free parking and a free breakfast.
Pre-Cruise Hotels · Palm Beach
Twenty hotels for a cruise from Palm Beach, on Singer Island, by I-95, downtown and by the airport, scored on what gets you to the ship, not on reviews. Pick yours, and let the trip start the night before.
Three taps and we’ll show your best three hotels.
Change any answer and the picks change with it. They’re built from the same published facts as the ranking below. Nobody pays to be here.
Matching weighs your answers against each hotel’s published shuttle, parking, breakfast, pool, beach, kitchen and pet policies.
Five answers, and the page builds the whole thing: the hotel, the ride in, the ride to the ship, what happens to the car, what time to leave, and how you get home. Every figure is one the hotel, the port or the company publishes. Where nobody publishes a number, you’ll see that instead of a guess.
Who’s coming and the mood come from Your Match; the plan uses the same answers.
Partner links (transfers, rental cars, luggage storage, lounges) may earn Seabound Journeys a commission at no extra cost to you. They don't change the plan, which is built only from what each company publishes.
One hotel we checked publishes a ride to the port. None prints a rate to leave the car while you sail. That leaves the ride, distance and breakfast to settle the podium. La Quinta by the airport lists a weekday shuttle to the Port of Palm Beach. Super 8 on Blue Heron Boulevard is the nearest budget room with a free breakfast. The Singer is on the ocean, the shortest drive of the twenty.
Filter by what matters for your night. Save the ones you like, or tick up to three to compare side by side — the order is ours, the shortlist is yours.
Add your sail date and the links open on the night before.

Pick how you’re arriving. The board counts what each hotel publishes and the table lights up that column. Below it are the companies that run from the airport to the port.
The airport, DJT (formerly PBI), is close — about 20 minutes to the port by the Palm Beaches’ tourism listing, about 8.9 road miles by our routing. The nearest two are on Singer Island and Blue Heron Boulevard. Four sit by the airport — handy for a late landing, not for a short ride to the ship.
DJT, formerly PBI · about 8.9 road miles to the terminal, our routing
Cabs wait at the Ground Transportation desk outside the west end of Level 1, per the airport — no reservation needed for arriving passengers. Metro Taxi takes bookings on 561-777-7777. Palm Beach County's Consumer Affairs office regulates cabs but prints no meter rate, and the airport prints no flat fare to the port.
Rideshare pick-ups are on the outer curb of Level 3, per the airport. Margaritaville at Sea asks you to use 1 East 11th Street, Riviera Beach, for GPS and rideshare drop-off.
Discover Cars lists 17 suppliers on its West Palm Beach page, which covers DJT. If you rent, the car waits in the port's lot by the terminal while you sail — $19 a day, card only.
A Palm Tran stop sits on the outer curb of Level 1, per the airport, and Route 2 runs to the Tri-Rail and Amtrak station on South Tamarind Avenue. We found no official page naming a stop at the cruise terminal, so with luggage it's not a plan.
The airport lists only hotel courtesy shuttles, from the outer curb outside Baggage Claim on Level 1 — they go to hotels, not the port. We found no shared shuttle with a published fare to the port. Viator's West Palm Beach port-transfers list starts at US$38, and an airport-to-port round trip by private car was listed from US$80 on October 3, 2026.
Driving? The column to watch is “While you sail”. Compare hotel parking with the options on Palm Beach cruise parking, or price it out in the parking math below.

These twenty are ranked for an easy sail morning, not for the room. Palm Beach’s top ratings are on the island: the Four Seasons is the area’s only AAA Five Diamond, and The Breakers is Four Diamond and Forbes Four-Star. The Four Diamond nearest the ship is the Marriott on Singer Island, about 2.9 road miles away by our routing.
Palm Beach has one cruise terminal, at 1 East 11th Street in Riviera Beach, on the north side of the port. The bands measure road miles from there, by our routing. Singer Island and Blue Heron Boulevard are nearest, under 4 miles. The Metrocentre hotels by I-95 sit at about 4.2 to 4.5. Downtown West Palm Beach is about 5. The airport hotels run 6 to 7.7, Palm Beach Gardens 6 to 8, and Donald Ross Road nearly 10.
Count them by area. Singer Island and Riviera Beach hold two, Metrocentre Boulevard and Northpoint Parkway five, downtown six, the airport four and Palm Beach Gardens three. The Gardens hotels on PGA Boulevard score the same as the airport ones. They're no further from the ship — 6 to 8 road miles, by our routing.
Numbers are the ranking. Each pin sits where the hotel is — the bands group them by distance, the way we score it.
Five things decide how easy the night before is. We score each one from the hotel’s own site or its brand’s.
If a hotel doesn't say it, it scores zero there — not a guess, zero. Travel sites, tourism listings and review sites don't count. When a hotel’s own pages contradict each other, we score the claim as unconfirmed — and say so. Each page lists exactly what we couldn't confirm.
By band, from the terminal: Singer Island and Riviera Beach 30; Metrocentre and Northpoint 25; downtown West Palm Beach 20; by the airport 15; Palm Beach Gardens 15; Donald Ross Road 10.
Hotel-run shuttle, free or with a published price, 25. A ride only inside a package or offer 20. The hotel’s own ride with no published fare 15. The hotel says you can walk: across the street, a few blocks, or half a mile or less, 15. A ride the hotel arranges through someone else, or a shuttle company it names, 10. A shuttle that doesn’t name the terminal doesn’t count.
Published rate to leave the car 20, including a package with a published price. Offered, price unpublished 14.
Sail mornings start early. A free breakfast on site scores 10, including one inside a mandatory nightly fee.
On the beach 6, pool 3, food or a bar on site 3, a kitchen in the room 3.
Ties are broken in this order: the lower published parking rate, any stated way to the ship, free breakfast, parking on site, the closer stated mileage, the lower guest parking price, then the alphabet. On 43, La Quinta and Super 8 tie, and La Quinta wins because it publishes a ride to the port. On 38, three Metrocentre hotels have free breakfast and free parking. The Holiday Inn Express goes first on its printed 2-mile figure — then Homewood Suites and SpringHill Suites, on the alphabet. On 31 and 28, free breakfast comes first, then the lower parking rate. Five hotels finish on 26. Homewood Suites Palm Beach Gardens leads on breakfast. The four downtown hotels then fall in order of what they charge to park, with Hilton West Palm Beach last — its rates didn’t print.
What's left out is deliberate. Room rates change daily, so they aren't scored. Neither are guest-review scores — they measure a stay in general, not a sail morning.
The ranking tells you which hotel makes the morning easiest. Your dates and your budget decide the rest — price your own night before you book the winner.
None of the twenty prints a rate to leave the car while you sail. We found no park-and-cruise package either. Below is what the hotels do print, set against the port lot.
At the hotels: no printed rate to leave the car for a cruise, at any of the twenty. Several park free for the night, La Quinta, the Holiday Inn Express, Homewood Suites and SpringHill Suites among them. None says the car can stay for the week. The Delta Hotels by the airport, on our just-missed list, prints $16 a day or $112 a week, and doesn’t sell it for cruising either. Ask before you leave a car.
The port’s own lot by the terminal is the one cruise rate in print — $19 a day, per the Port of Palm Beach. It takes American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover — no cash, and no prepaid parking. It’s secured and patrolled 24 hours. You walk to the terminal on a temporary pedestrian walkway while valet is suspended for construction.
For every option, see Palm Beach cruise parking, compared.
We checked 28 hotels on Singer Island, in Riviera Beach, by I-95, downtown, around the airport, in Palm Beach Gardens and in Juno Beach. These came closest, with their scores and the reason each fell short. The Four Seasons, The Breakers, the Marriott and Amrit on Singer Island, The Ben, PGA National and Eau are on the splurge list. Three Four Diamonds from these twenty are named there too: The Belgrove, Canopy and Hilton West Palm Beach.
| Hotel | Score | Why it missed |
|---|---|---|
| Holiday Inn Express North Palm Beach-Oceanview | 23 | A free breakfast in Juno Beach, a block from the beach by IHG's description — but about 8.1 road miles from the ship by our routing, the furthest north we checked. |
| Hilton Palm Beach PBI | 21 | A free airport shuttle, free self-parking, Osteria By Capri and a lakeside Tiki Bar, but no free breakfast, and about 7.7 road miles from the terminal. |
| DoubleTree by Hilton West Palm Beach Airport | 21 | A free airport shuttle and $10 parking, but breakfast is for a fee and pets aren't allowed. |
| Hilton Garden Inn West Palm Beach Airport | 21 | A free airport shuttle from 4 AM to 1 AM and $5 parking, but breakfast is for a fee — its Hampton neighbor includes it. |
| Delta Hotels by Marriott West Palm Beach | 21 | A free airport shuttle and the only weekly parking rate we found, $112 a week, but it isn't sold for cruising and breakfast is free only for top-tier members. |
| Courtyard by Marriott West Palm Beach Airport | 21 | Free parking and an outdoor pool, but no shuttle and no free breakfast. |
| Hilton Garden Inn Palm Beach Gardens | 21 | $10 parking and EV charging a quarter-mile away, but breakfast is for a fee and there's no shuttle. |
| DoubleTree by Hilton Palm Beach Gardens | 21 | The Oz Restaurant and EV charging on site, but no free breakfast and no pets. |
Not ranked: Holiday Inn Palm Beach-Airport Conference Center. Its IHG page now lands on IHG's general explore page, so we couldn't confirm it's still an IHG hotel. Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront/Palm Beaches Resort. Renamed — it's The Singer Oceanfront Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, at the same address, ranked here.
Four of the twenty run a free airport shuttle. Embassy Suites Central runs from 4 AM to 1 AM — the Hampton Inn, Home2 Suites and the West Palm Beach Marriott don’t print hours. La Quinta’s shuttle covers the airport and the port, weekdays 10:30 to 5:30, with no fare printed.
The Palm Beaches’ tourism listing calls the port 20 minutes from the airport. Nobody prints a taxi fare. The Getting There table shows what every hotel publishes.
Tours, tickets and things to do are on Booking.com. Book the day before, not sail day.

On our scoring, La Quinta Inn & Suites West Palm Beach Airport. It's the only hotel we read that publishes a ride to the Port of Palm Beach, Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. — and it adds free parking and a free breakfast. It doesn't print the fare. Super 8 on Blue Heron Boulevard is second, the nearest budget room at about 3.9 road miles by our routing. The Singer, on the ocean about 2.8 road miles out, is third.
Palm Beach has one cruise terminal, at 1 East 11th Street in Riviera Beach, run by the Port of Palm Beach District, and one ship sails from it: Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. The port opens at 9:30 AM on sailing days and the terminal doors close promptly at 3:00 PM, per Margaritaville at Sea.
Not one we'd send you to on foot. No hotel we read prints a walking distance. The nearest of our twenty is on Singer Island, across the Intracoastal — about 2.8 road miles by our routing. Holiday Inn Express Metrocentre says 2 miles, which our routing makes about 4.2 by road.
Singer Island and Riviera Beach for the shortest ride, about 3 to 4 road miles. Downtown West Palm Beach for an evening out, about 5. By the airport if you land late, since four of our twenty run a free airport shuttle — the port is then 6 to 8 road miles away by our routing.
None of our twenty prints a rate for it, and none sells a park-and-cruise package that we found. The Delta Hotels by the airport prints a $112 weekly self-park rate, not a cruise rate. The sure thing is the port's own lot by the terminal — $19 a day, card only, no cash and no prepaid parking.
Four of our twenty run a free shuttle from DJT: Embassy Suites WPB Central, Hampton Inn Central Airport, Home2 Suites Airport and WPB Marriott. Otherwise it's a cab from the Ground Transportation desk at the west end of Level 1, or Uber or Lyft from the outer curb of Level 3. The airport prints no taxi fare to the port.
A cab or rideshare. Cabs wait at the Ground Transportation desk, west end of Level 1. Uber and Lyft use the outer curb of Level 3, per the airport. Nobody prints a taxi fare to the port. The Palm Beaches' listing calls it 20 minutes and Cruise Critic about 25; our routing makes it about 8.9 road miles.
One: Margaritaville at Sea, on its ship Paradise, with 2- to 5-night cruises to the Bahamas and Key West. Its other ships sail from Tampa and, from January 2027, Miami — not Palm Beach.
Hotel rates move every day — any number we printed would be wrong by the time you read it. We rank on shuttles, parking policies and breakfast, which don't change daily. The live rate is the booking site's job, for your date, not ours.
